Saw her Newt sickness for what it was immediately, but I enjoyed how you dragged it out. They are so good together in this, before, during and after the memory loss. Loved it, even though you tortured me a bit with them having to retrain her memory.

The second half of the story is so weird.

It's as if you mashed and entirely different story into the first one. The whole amnesia plot feels totally unnecessary and the fake drama of Harry not telling Hermione about their marriage is like a reminder from the worst kind of RomComs. And then... you have a smart grown-up young woman not realize that she's pregnant for a period of 2 months, just to amp up the Drama even more. Why?!

And then this smart, competent girl is suddenly borderline mentally handicapped when she doesn't immediately make the connection that Harry is the father (did she completely forget that she only forgot things that are related to Harry?) and of course gets to blow up angrily because Harry kept everything a secret for no discernible reason at all (except as a plot convenience).

I really enjoyed their tentative, but honest interactions in the first half of the story... the second half immediately became the opposite of that.

Loved this fic. Was going back to the group I found this in and almost forgot to review.

Harry and Hermione could only ever be forced to marry each other to get together.

just so you know the discription of the engagement ring does not match the original discription you gave earlier in the story. Sorry to nit pick but continuity errors are the one thing that kill a story for me, and I really like your fic.

I'd have liked to see Harry making a bigger deal about not wanting to come between her and Ron (he does have the world's worst case of Martyr Syndrome) and Hermione telling him something like. "Harry how can you think so little of yourself? Of me? You honestly believe that a fledgling romance with Ron is more important to me than your life?"
