I admire people who wrote the stories that changed the world. There isn't really much I can tell you about me. I read and write fanfiction because it's my hobby. I try to make my stories believable and fun to read. This is actually my Achilles heel with stories because I find it hard most of the time to write something that isn't possible. I decided to update my profile a little since it's been a while and I have a challenge for fans and anyone else. Quotes that I really wlike... "There's five ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, the easy way, the usual way, and my way" "A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." "Not all who wonder are lost."- J.R.R. Tolkien "If you can't convince them, confuse them."- Harry S. Truman "Destiny is what you are supposed to do in life. Fate is what kicks you in the ass to do it."- Henry Miller "Sarcasm is one more service I offer. Compassion costs extra." "In a mad world only the mad are sane." Akira Kurosawa "If I go back upon what I believe, who will I become?" "What matters in a story is neither the beginning or the end, it's what's between to convince the reader to reach the end." by me. "...Every human being relies on and is bounded by his knowledge and experience to live. This is what we call "reality". However, knowledge and experience are ambiguous, thus reality can become illusion. Is it not possible to think that, all human beings are living in their assumptions?" - Itachi "When one loves… there is the risk of hate." - Madara "Everything in the world is a gamble. Love is the biggest gamble of all because most of the time, you feel like you're winning, but it only takes once to loose everything." "Expose someone to anger long enough and they will learn to hate, they become a carrier: Envy, Greed, Despair, Wrath all ready to be passed along to the next one. " "Of course I'm an adult, I do all the natural things that come with it: I bitch, I whine, lie through my teeth and do things that are unfair." Update 2016 It's been a long time since I updated this profile, I thought it was fair to change that. So I've been a fan of this channel for a long time and there's no mistaking that this is where I got into reading. When I was a kid I was never into reading because I feel like I never connected with what people tried to make me read. But after I became a bit of a manga reader, I discovered this site and I've been hanging around ever since. I feel like this site has both a positive and a negative influence on you, positive being that you might find passions that you never knew you might like: like learning how to read and liking it, learning how to write, learning/mastering a different language, meeting new interesting people, etc. The one negative thing that I found is that you can become addicted to it. I did and I realized that I have to split my time with it and make a lot more room for my real life. This is one of the reasons why I don't write so often anymore, unfortunately. If this could somehow pay the bills I'd be happy to write more often, but until i find a way to do that I'll have to settle to just read and comment other stories. Cheers to all of you. Update March 26 2017 - End of the Naruto Era Today is a very special day for me. I saw the last Naruto Shippuden episode and saw how it wrapped up officially. I don't really have a blog and I don't feel confident making a youtube video and this is the closest place where I have ever revealed or appreciated Naruto openly with others. So I feel it's appropriate to write my honest opinions about the series right here. Now, I have been a fan of the series for maybe 10 years now. I opened up to it very hesitantly initially because in my country anime was not a big thing, there was no one to talk about it with, and I was at a very depressing part of my life, so starting to watch an anime was really the last thing on my mind. But when I did and got into it, it really hit home for me, I believe it was in the Haku and Zabuza arc that I was hooked because I understood the theme and it resonated with me at a point in life where I felt useless with no direction and no plan. It was just me against the world and I felt a lot like Haku. Since then I've had my ups and downs with it but I always remained a fan. Why this series and not others? Well it really had a lot of teenage themes about life hitting you down and how you respond to that: do you stay down? Do you walk away? Or do you get back up and keep fighting until you win? Over the years it changed, but that first initial flame of Naruto burned brighter than any other. Back then it wasn't as popular as today, so the author had a lot of liberties to do what he wanted, but a manga's popularity can mean its downfall if you don't have the appropriate editors. Over the years, the manga more or less held itself back more because it became so popular. I consider that to have been a mistake because look at which anime is the most popular today: Attack on Titan. Take this anime and compare it to Naruto after the Chunnin Exams, and you will see how the anime/manga more or less censored itself from being as open as before. It all became more safe and clean. Sure it did make a few comebacks in The Sound 4 arc and the Naruto vs Sasuke battle but those were still safer than the Haku battle, it never really made a comeback. This should be a lesson to studios today, TV isn't making your kids bad or evil, they learn how to swear outside playing with bigger kids, they like action movies so they know that everyone bleeds and everyone gets hurt. There is literally no point anymore to censor what doesn't need censoring, kids aren't stupid, they get it. Just get over it and don't hurt the story. This brings up the really obvious negatives that I have had with the anime and the manga sometimes: the absolute worst thing the anime did wrong is: the flashbacks, so many flashbacks! Anyone will tell you that making it vague and leaving it open to the imagination is better than being to expressive and too open with flashbacks. If the studio decides it wants to make a few more bucks, I recommend that they get working on a Kai version of Naruto and remove unnecessary flashbacks that ruined the flow of the anime. Another was world-building and character history. It's very limited, we get only glimpses of other villages and other places, but they are just for spectacle, they are not really important. Character history is very limited, which I really hate, we never get to know the background or history of really important clans or characters, like the Senju Clan, the Uzumaki Clan, the Namikaze family, Jiraiya's family, etc. So much left so vague that it's infuriating. They certainly left a lot of meat on the bone for Boruto and other future installments. The ending was really satisfying if you only care about the core main cast which is all the young generation, we get to see them couple up, most of them, anyway, but the rest of the cast, the teachers, the older generation, none of them get married or have kids. This might have been a joke about Japan's declining birthrate or their lack of marriages, but it's extremely inappropriate in a manga where all the characters have fans or where the basis of all was conflict among ninja clans. It begs the question: was Naruto's idea to stop wars just to make these people infertile or unlovable? To end all clans from making ninja? So the lack of wrap-up for half or more of the cast was very unprofessional of Kishimoto and is maybe the only thing I really hated about the ending. Maybe this is why Boruto is allowed one chapter per month instead of one per week, because the schedule burned Kishimoto's brain like potato chips in the first half of the manga and the rest was him on brain meds and mushrooms. But all in all it was a nice story about life, hardships, friendship, and overcoming obstacles in your life: like Naruto you have to keep walking forward and never stop to question or doubt yourself. I salute you, Naruto Uzumaki. Thank you for everything. |
