Okay, so it's been about 2.5 years since I was last on this site. I've finally settled in RL, somewhat. That being said, as an adult (which stinks by the way) who has to pay bills and such I have much less time for writing. I am going to start by Re-doing much of the story. The base outline WILL be the same, but have a few more years of maturity and the handful of stories I kept up with during my hiatus, many of the details need re-working.

I will post again, just not sure how often and it will be under the new story title. "A Different Path" is my re-work. "A Different Way" will remain abandoned.

Thank you to everyone who reviewed while I was gone. Much of your more helpful comments actually brought me back.

Harry was being abused by his Uncle and almost died? and was rescued by Voldemort. Nightmares about Cedric might have played a part in the increase of abuse.
Took place summer after 4th year.
Voldemort had Severus (who was loyal) come as healer/ potion master to heal Harry.
Voldemort was handsome, not like he was in the cemetary.
Snape, Barty, and one other (either a Lestrange or Regulus) served as Voldemort's companions.
