This father son bonding is too cute. I can’t tell you how long o looked for a Glorfindel adopts Harry fic before I found this gem!

I find it very difficult to read the story, mainly because it focuses on nothing I like from either series. I'd love to see some action and magic... Reading some abused childs recovery fic isn't that...

Now there's the promise of hogwarts like adventures on the horizon, but I find myself mentally numb already from the whole abused childhood Harry raised by elf shtic...

I do not understand why people essentially keep using crossovers for this stuff. There's hundreds of stories doing that ending from Harry in the pokemon world to stargate sg1.

Even the Harry Potter series itself didn't focus that intensely on either the abuse or recovery there of and to me its more disturbing that people keep focusing in on that aspect and blowing it up to ever growing portions...

It makes me worried that people are seriously getting off on child abuse and fixing broken kids.

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned in the sense that I believe there has to be a point to a story, a lesson to learn, a wisdom to gleam, a perspective to enrich your life. But in these sorts of fics, I find none of that.

Even the regular op fic has a hidden message along the lines that strength allows you to stand up for yourself and make your dreams true. However twisted those dreams may be.

Here? The most I gleam is that if you want people to care about you you need to be publicly broken and abused whilst your still a child.

This chapter was a bit confusing, simply because it was a bit difficult at first to tell what was a flashback/Legolas telling the story, and what was present time. Other than that, I liked it though.

I love Glorfindel as a father. He and Elcalad are great together. Really enjoying this.
