6/17/2014: Okay, so it's safe to say I did not make spring! The main reason why is this story is threatening 200k words BUT I am nearing the end. Once that happens I will be giving the whole draft an edit, and then I will be ready to start posting the earlier chapters, although the later ones will still need some work. I've posted a preview of the first two chapters at AHA. If you do not have access there shoot me a message and I can send to you here. I'm hoping to start posting by July if not before.

4/13/2014: Another update on the A Constant Love sequel. I am still hard at work on it, and hoping to begin publishing sometime in the spring (although it is already spring, eep!). The big issue is that it's long. 134k words already, and there are huge chunks of plot yet to come. It's an ambitious story, and hopefully I have not bitten off more than I can chew! So please be patient with me, and I hope there'll be a long, story full of plot for you all to read in late spring and summer.

2/17/2014: Some of you have been asking about the sequel to A Constant Love. I got a little bogged down over the holidays but am making very good progress on it now. However...it's looking like it's going to be long, possibly as long as the original or even longer. Right now my best guess is it will be ready to start posting in the spring, but I won't start posting until I've got a draft written all the way through, so I can decide whether there are scenes I want to add in or anything I need to change from earlier in the story. I'm pretty excited about this one and am glad to hear others are, too!

I've written other things before, many years ago, for another fandom, but this is my first attempt at anything Austen. I'm really enjoying getting back into writing and trying to master dialogue of that era. Also that feeling of stories eating your brain right up!

My favorite of Jane Austen's is actually Persuasion, but I don't yet have the guts to tackle anything related to it -- it is too perfect, in my mind. And Patrick O'Brian is very much an influence of mine as well -- I feel like he captures sort of the other side of novels like Persuasion. I suppose the best way to describe what I write is Persuasion-influenced Pride and Prejudice...at least for now.
