![]() Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Bionicle, Naruto, Twilight, Sword Art Online/ソードアート・オンライン, Elder Scroll series, Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人, 100, Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Chronicles of Narnia. So... Hi. I don't really know how to write a profile, but I'll do what I usually do when I write - just let the crap flow. Here goes. My name is Ivan. An obvious thing, especially after glancing at my profile name. As of now, I'm 21 years old - I was born on April 22nd, 1996 in Minnesota. I've graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information Systems, and I've been accepted at the University of Texas at San Antonio for my Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering. It goes without saying that I'm a guy. A guy that likes to read and write fanfiction, yes. No, I'm not gay, I just like to write. The knowledge that so many worlds can be twisted and sometimes perfected with our words... its an art. I can't give you much of my personal life - I'm not one to write a personal diary on a public website - so I'll give you my writing history. I wrote my first story when I was fifteen, I think. "The Prison of Chaos," it was called - a short, crappy 3-chapter Percy Jackson fic with a self-insert. I started writing at first out of sheer curiosity, but after seeing the lack of support for PoC I stopped for about a couple of months. It wasn't until I finished my College Writing class that I realized that, well, I sucked. Story taken down, I began anew. "The Chaos Chronicles - Awakening" was my first TRUE story, with the same characters from "The Prison of Chaos," but with a revised plot and an enormous grammatical difference. For once, I truly enjoyed writing, and even though I had little support, the support I had was truly loyal. It was there where I met Cockapoo, a massive Nico-Di-Angelo(PJO fandom)-and-Kili(The Hobbit)-loving author with a truly incredible mind. Sadly, I never really got to know her face-to-face, not even on Facebook, before she left the fanfiction world. So that's how I started. Cockapoo was my number one reviewer and supporter, and I did my best to return the favor before she left fanfiction. Afterwards, I hit with inspiration for a second story when I read a review from an author named The-ADVENTURE-begins. Following his profile, I stumbled across his one story - PJO/Twilight crossover. I read it, started to think about how I would write it differently... and then sat down and started. One week later, "Heroes of Olympus Book 2 - Rites of Blood" hit the server, and within a year, it was in the top 20 most-favorited PJO/Twilight crossover stories. (Though not anymore - that version has been taken down after someone reported the story (unfairly, I'd like to add) under some "talking to readers" rule of some kind. It's being slowly re-uploaded, but it takes time.) Anyways, like all authors, I would hit snags of writer's block. To combat this, I read even more material, leaving my comfort zone in PJO fanfiction and exploring Harry Potter and Naruto fanfiction - the two worlds I knew somewhat well. This lead to the writing of two more stories: "Harry Potter and the 11th Commandment," and "A Single Moment," the latter being a Narutoverse overhaul. By this point, "The Chaos Chronicles - Awakening" and its rewrite, "Titanspawn Legends: Redemption and Downfall" were abandoned, with me having lost all inspiration to write either story. I'm not sorry. So yeah. Of course, being an author and an imaginative person means that I have tons of ideas - and boy do I have 'em. There are of course the planned sequels for "A Single Moment," "Heroes of Olympus Book 2 - Rites of Blood," and "Harry Potter and the 11th Commandment," but there's also a hopeful future TRON project based on TRON: Legacy and TRON: Uprising. A project that has been scrapped is my Star Wars "Jade Trilogy," which would be another overhaul of another universe with a rather questionable OC involved in things, but hey, that's why it's "scrapped" and not "planned". But that's for the future. Will I write these books? Maybe. Still, it's not easy. As of this point, I'm graduated from college and jobless while hunting for a job and looking to get a Master's Degree; which basically means that I don't really have much time on my hands to write. However, I promised my readers that I would do my best - so I will. My education takes priority, but my writing is third or fourth. (I'm so sorry. Blame League of Legends. And Overwatch.) So yeah. That's how I began, and that's how I currently am. Regarding writing, at least. I hope this gave you a little insight into the individual known as INSERT_VALID_AUTHOR_NAME. Cheers. On my stories: Through Fire and Shadow: Lord of the Rings & Chronicles of Narnia Crossover. A new idea that's taken root in my head nowadays. A Single Moment: Frequently updated, and I really like writing this thing. I don't think I'll abandon it. Edit as of March 2017: "Frequently." Tch. Yeah, I'm working on the next arc, I need to get back in the swing of things when it comes to writing. Chill though - I'll work on it. Somewhere North of Here: Skyrim fic. And this one will tear through common fanfiction storylines like an Italian woman cussing out an American Tourist (I've actually seen that happen. I couldn't stop laughing for an hour. The best part was, I was a tourist too, and even I knew that the Texan deserved it.). I promised myself that come hell or high water I'd finish it - so I will. Warning: There will be lemons! ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡) This Golden Heart of Mine: The 100. I'll admit it - I saw the show (one of the few TV shows I've actually seen) and I fucking loved it. I feel like the series as depicted in the show was lacking in certain areas, like in terms of technology and actual population numbers. Also, Lexa did NOT NEED TO DIE. UPDATE REGARDING HEROES OF OLYMPUS - RITES OF BLOOD: The administrators of Fanfiction.net have deemed it necessary to remove this story with no appropriate justification. That being said, I'll re-edit it and re-upload it soon, and continue to write it. EDIT:We're going full AU on this one, boys and girls. It'll actually be fun this time! Heroes of Olympus - Trilogy of Blood: The re-uploaded version of what you just read above. Harry Potter and the Eleventh Commandment: I'm sorry, I can't write this thing. It's just... I can't. I don't know how to go forwards with it, and every time I make a decision on what to do content-wise I question it less than a second later. I can't finish it because there's no actual story in there. Honestly, I just don't know what to do with the damn thing. Either way, it is SO low on my priority list right now, that I've decided to just ignore it completely. If I get inspiration, yay! If not - well, we'll see. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡 Literally me every time I try to write this damn thing. Bionicle: Tales of a Cybernetic Human: Dear fucking god what was I thinking just stop no no no (Aaaaand now I'm sad. Because Bionicle has passed away. AGAIN. And I had some okay things planned for this one). Rising Dawn: A meh Sword-Art Online project about someone logging into the game to save the kids but shit happens. Maybe I'll find a reason to work on it. Funny, the idea nagged me for a long time, but as soon as I started working on it I forgot about it after a while. \_(ツ)_/ The Hindsight of Perception: Attack on Titan project with Pacific Rim elements and Time Travel. No work into this one, reasons are similar to Rising Dawn, though I do think about it every time I get an update from any Attach on Titan story I'm following. On future crappy ideas I can't get out of my head: Frequency: An upcoming HP fic based off of the 2000 film of the same name. I've got a plot, and I've got an outline - I just don't have the actual content yet. This fic is also a major contender as to why I feel reluctant to continue the Eleventh Commandment. Please note that I haven't made a decision as to whether I'm actually going to write this or send the outline to various fanfiction authors to see if they can work with it. Untitled Overwatch project: I've got something planned, but I'd definitely need a Beta for this one. I love the game, and I want to see where Blizzard will go with all the lore and stuff, so I think I'll hold back for a while with this one. I WILL, however, say that if I do something about Overwatch I'd have to mention (REPEATEDLY) how much of a shitty agent Tracer is. Because holy fuck the amount of mistakes her character makes in the Alive Cinematic alone is just ridiculous. Untitled League of Legends project: Making a story about League of Legends isn't the hard part - it's making a story that makes sense where the challenge lies. I've got friends that say "write a LoL fanfic!" but when I ask for ideas they don't say a word. It's madness - the damn universe has enough content for me to come up with ideas, but they're just that, ideas. Maybe I'll make one-shots or something. Or smutfics. Those seem to get a lot of attention ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡) |
