Current Progress:

- Please do not anticipate fast updates at this point in time. I have a life outside of the site. I am never happy when I am forced to delay updating by months and even years, but I have a need to eat most days, so that takes precedent.-

Throes of Fate: Chapter 15 - working on it. Being under country-wide lockdown is a pain in my arse.

- Double Jeopardy: At long last, I have made a decision. The original story is dead and will not be revived. Instead, I am going to be finishing up the revised version and then posting that, at which point it will take precedent as the main version of the story. I will post an update in the original version to alert readers of this when it happens, alongside a summary of the changes that I have made for those who do not want to start at the beginning again. Revision progress - chapter 24/32 complete.

- Harry, of House Potter: Chapter 10, "Harry IV" - 3000 words. I'm throwing my hands up in frustration here. There are so many narrative threads to juggle that it has become tiresome quickly. I want to read the next book before I continue with this, but I'd rather not wait until I have children and then grandchildren before updating the story. Get your finger out, George.

My Musings on FanFiction:

- I firmly believe that authors control any story they publish, so don't expect mine to be 100% loyal to its canon counterpart (or counterparts, if it's a cross-over). Like all of my stories, it may follow the original plot of the text up to a certain point, but I'll feel free to change some things around when it's appropriate and even when it's not. Otherwise, what is the point of this site?

- Don't be overwhelmed by criticism, because that is the only true way an author can grow. I will not suffer the presence of fools, but genuine feedback is always appreciated.

- Ronald Weasley, Molly Weasley and Ginny Weasley are all terrible people. Do not come near me with a story that portrays these bottom-feeding reptilian leeches positively unless you're an author with the skill level of S'Tarkan or Dethryl (and I doubt you are, to be honest). Ron, in particular, might be the most detestable person in canon, ahead of Voldemort. Snape and Dumbledore are also right up there on my shit list, although authors with the correct tenacity can redeem them to a certain extent, even if they do endorse child abuse in canon.

- Popularity on this site does not reflect the quality of a story or the skill of a writer.

- Ignore flames. Laugh at trolls. It's the easy thing to do.

- If a character is a scumbag, that does not mean the writer is. None of mine are (I hope), but I've seen others get slammed for this. It's pathetic on the part of the reviewer.

- Wibble.

Original Characters:

Nyos - A captain of the Imperial soldiers. A magician, loudmouth and somewhat crass man with a soft spot for his family. Based on a combination of Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus from HBO's Rome, including a physical appearance matching that of the former. This series is fantastic, by the way. Soldiering mentality borrowed from Lucius Cornelius Macro in Simon Scarrow's Eagles of the Empire series, which I also highly recommend. Appears in Double Jeopardy, my Harry Potter/Inheritance Cycle crossover.

Arucane - A dragon born from the green egg in Galbatorix's possession. Decidedly nothing like Fírnen in Paolini's canon series, due to the influence of his Rider, Harry Potter. Skittish, playful and good-humoured as a hatchling. What he grows into remains to be seen. Appears in Double Jeopardy.

Joy - A young woman who was prepared to accept the role of prostitute in order to earn money, but is then convinced not to by Harry, head of House Potter. Decides to accompany him and Lord Stark to King's Landing and learn to work as a personal assistant, but remains something of a mystery. Appears in Harry, of House Potter.

Unknown - Eragon's love interest. Appears to be known by Galadriel, but not by Eragon or Saphira. Is she an OC, or am I being evil towards my readers? All will be unveiled soon. Appears in Throes of Fate... eventually.
