Author has written 19 stories for X-Men, Avengers, Marvel, Transformers, Star Wars, Arrow, Green Lantern, Flash, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Teen Titans, Elder Scroll series, Justice League, Devil May Cry, and Legend of Korra. My username bears the name of one of my very first characters, not the first to be written here, but to be developed and expanded on, to be finalized and solidified. In many ways, I am like him, and if you ever get around to reading about the exploits of Caden Drake, you may begin to see evidence of these congruences in personality. Like me, Caden is a complex, multifaceted character with an eye for detail and a penchant for channeled emotion. He also has one of the largest hearts of all my written characters, though you could never tell by much of his normal (early) behavior. As something of a trial, I've tried to put him into several different universes just to see what would happen, and I must say, I like the results. I can only hope that my readers will think the same. Please read, review, comment, and otherwise give me input, if you so desire. Do NOT hesitate to let me know if something doesn't make sense or there are grammatical or spelling errors in my work.
I am now a professional writer, in every respect of the term. Writing is the core of my passion, and the only reliable way to express every bit of emotion and anguish I feel on a daily basis. I'm willing to bet a fair few of you can identify with those feelings. As I've said in the past, the stories I write are the ones I like to read, the ones I know I need to experience. I just let all of you read over my shoulder. I'm also on FictionPress now. Check it out Like my Facebook page Musical Inspirations (Links to story w/first appearance): With each of my characters, I find myself needing to find a way to define them with music, to find a theme that mirrors their personality and even, in some cases, history. Thus far, I've come up with themes for the majority of them. I loved and hated many things about Episode IX. This story will be my way to fix that. The Force United will be a large-scale rewrite of Episode IX, taking very minimally from the canon story for several reasons. One of which is that it will take place in the same timeline as Kandosii'tal, which will become apparent very quickly. I'm not going to say anything at all about the plot, but I will say you should/must read Heir Apparent and The Constant first. Both stories occur within this timeline and are critical for certain points of context. Not sure when I'm going to start publishing this, but at the very least, I'll start once I've finished Act I so I can release consistently. ABANDONED - "Arrow" - All stories involving the Arrow timeline fall into a shared universe, unless otherwise specified. In addition, if I decided to branch out into full-on DC Universe writing, not only Arrow and The Flash, those stories will likely fall into this shared universe as well. Since this is the third world I have Caden Drake in, I must apologize to those among my readers who are becoming tired of his character. The way I see it, though, this is simply a product of the Multiverse Theory, where every choice and its consequences are put in a separate, alternate universe. Caden Drake is a person who can be melded into virtually any modern-day story with little, if any, momentum lost. Since this specific world is focusing more and more on metahumans, as evidenced by The Flash, I decided to focus a little more on his abilities, specifically the ways they can work against him if he's not careful. As always, if anyone has ideas on who to bring the Arrow and his team into contact with where supervillains are concerned, feel free to PM or review with suggestions. ON HIATUS - "Assassin's Creed" - So this was just something that popped into my head after I kind of got on an AC kick. My foray into the ME-AC crossover arena was a bit of a catalyst in starting Creed and Conscience, but I'm not quite sure how to keep going just yet. That creative fire I started with got doused almost immediately after I released the first chapter. Like every story I have on this site, I have every intention of finishing it, I just don't know when. I fully intend to have Creed and Conscience go into the AC3 time period and just a little beyond. I always found Haytham Kenway to be an incredibly interesting and complex character, and after reading up on him, this instinct was confirmed. I wanted to see just how things might have played out if he had actually grown up as an Assassin, as his father had always intended, as well as among a loving family instead of the scum of the earth. I wanted to see how both his ideals and personality may have been affected by a radical change in circumstance, and I hope that when I finally execute this, you'll like what I find. COMING AT SOME POINT - "Batman" - I am finally taking a shot at writing one—correction, two of my all-time favorite characters: Batman and Wonder Woman. As a result, this will be posted in the Justice League genre. I am, for all intents and purposes, a MANIC Batman-Wonder Woman shipper, so expect a blooming romance between the two of them in the first story of this category. I've decided that I'm not releasing a single chapter of this story until it's all done, and then it'll probably be released around 2 chapters a week...maybe 3. Haven't decided yet. At any rate, here's a preview of the first story, Murders in Crime Alley, in the form of a summary: "When a series of killings in Crime Alley are kicked off by a double homicide reminiscent of the Wayne murders, the Batman must learn to love and rely on those closest to him or risk losing himself and everything he has fought for. Set three years after Arrow: Assassins and Queens." ON HIATUS - "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" - Your Eyes at Sunset was inspired by a cluster of factors, not the least of which the fact that I'd had a dry spell for close to six months when I started writing it. I decided to start with a new genre, since none of my other projects had been yielding results, and I have to say, I am liking the outcome so far. I've always loved the Elder Scrolls series, and in particular the Dawnguard expansion, primarily because of two things: dragons and Serana. My lore and perspective on vampires is heavily influenced by Bram Stoker's Dracula in addition to traditional ES lore, though Stoker is where I draw a lot of the vampire lord abilities from, as I'm sure the game designers did as well. In addition to some vampire stuff, I also wanted to give the Shouts and magic a bit of a facelift, to make the boundaries of both less rigid and far more adaptable. Also, I plan on integrating a few aspects of magic that were overtly lacking in Skyrim but were present in previous titles. One specific example springs to mind: spellcrafting. Why Bethesda thought it necessary to rule out that particular mechanic, I can understand (game balance), but in previous titles it was a great way to encourage players to really spend time improving their magic skills in order to cast high-level custom spells. Add to that the fact that the default spells in Skyrim don't level with your enemies (who can soak up MASSIVE amounts of damage on higher levels) and you have a decent but lacking magic system in Skyrim. All right, I step off my soapbox. Now that Your Eyes and Children are complete, I'm taking a little break, but I have a third story pretty much planned out already, so whenever I get back to this you can expect great things. COMING AT SOME POINT - "Green Lantern" - As an idea that I've been playing around with for the better part of six years, I know I'll be getting around to this eventually. I don't have a coherent narrative structure outlined for this yet, just a premise and some characters. I can say that this story will not be following Hal Jordan or any of the Earthbound Lanterns. That isn't to say they won't make their appearances, or that Earth won't figure heavily, because as the Guardians of the Universe once put it, Earth is the center of the Multiverse. It'll be based on a new character, and, as point of fact, an entirely new civilization I'll be creating from scratch. This story, and any that follow after it, will share universes with Assassins and Queens and the Batman story I'm intending to write, though the relative timeline for each of them is gonna be kind of screwy. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Suffice to say, I don't plan on getting to this for a good long while. I just thought I'd inform you of my long-term intentions. ON HIATUS - "Angel"/Earth-Alpha - This idea just popped into my head one Friday night sometime after I saw the season three finale to Legend of Korra, which was, in a word, heartbreaking. Considering I'd also just watched the season finale for The Flash, I was on a bit of a Flash kick...so it follows that I started playing around with some possibilities. It was only supposed to be a one-shot, since I was also working on Kandosii'tal at the time. The result was one of my top three (thus far) largest stories, and one I can definitively say I'm genuinely proud of. At the present time, I am working exclusively on Angel and direct sequels to Barry and Korra's story, but will eventually branch out to other members of the eventual Justice League. ON HIATUS - Mass Effect crossovers - Multiple crossovers are planned. Considering how prolifically adaptable the ME universe is, I've come up with quite a few scenarios to play out. Most of these stories will be posted in a shared universe, though there's a really special one that shares nothing with no one, except some background in another series, but that won't come until a while down the road. Anyhow, the only released crossover(s) so far is ME-Assassin's Creed, which I can't really find myself able to comment on much. Just something I came up with on a random tangent trying to break writer's block with my Flash-Korra story. Anyway, as always, I hope you enjoy and give me plenty of feedback. ON HIATUS - "New Marvel" - All stories involving the Marvel Comics universe, unless otherwise specified, fall into a shared universe. This universe is a systematic and somewhat complicated blend of the Marvel Cinematic universe and mainstream Marvel Comics. After much thought and internal debate, I've decided that for the sake of continuity, I'm going to meld all of my New Marvel stories into one, since they all eventually connect. So, the way I'll eventually do things is: integrate chapters from all three of my current stories, since those will be the primary characters focused on, into one blanket story. Each chapter of this story will be captioned with both the character and number of their entry, like comic series and issues. I have no idea how that's going to work out timeline wise, so I'll probably just have to wait until all or the majority of it is finished and release it in order of occurrence...maybe. I don't know. It's complicated. There's a reason I've left this untouched for so long, and it's not just because the whole thing pretty much needs a rewrite. What I have planned for the future of this universe basically necessitates a single combined story. ON HIATUS - "Star Wars" - Wouldn't you know it, all stories in the Star Wars universe, unless otherwise specified, fall into a shared alternate universe. I try my very best not to interfere with the established timeline, now designated "Legends," so, sadly, don't expect a lot of overlap with major canonical events. There will, however, be appearances and actions from major characters, mostly in a peripheral or indirect way, at least for now. As I say in the opening chapter of Kandosii'tal, the trilogy I'm planning on writing lasts an in-universe period of about 15 to 17 years, so expect this to last a good long while. If there are any Star Wars geeks out there who have ideas for situations to put my characters in or crossovers to make with major events, please let me know. Also tell me if you feel I misrepresent a character or group. As with all my work, I try my best to keep things authentic, and if there's one universe I absolutely DO NOT want to screw up in the slightest, it's Star Wars. ON HIATUS - "The Tomorrow Knight" - As I say in the opening chapter of this story, I've always been fascinated by the possibility of Batman and Wonder Woman having a kid. That premise stuck in the back of my head for years without effect. Around the time I finished Children of Akatosh, I started to focus more and more on the specifics of such a character and how his existence would work in the larger scheme of the DC universe. Eight months later, Jason Thomas Wayne was born. You would not believe how long it took to come up with his codename. I won't go into too much detail, but suffice to say the embarrassing brainstorming session I had on that alone lasted for months on and off. I knew "Knight" would have to feature somewhere in his codename due to his lineage on both sides: the Dark Knight and the finest Amazon warrior the world has ever seen. The "Tomorrow" bit came, of course, from his future origins. Altogether, it makes for a bit of a mouthful, but I think it sums up his character fairly well. As for where the story is heading, I couldn't come up with a sequential plot quite as easily as I did with something like COA, mainly because that story was based on an existing plotline—with heavy modifications. I know more or less where I want it to end up, but the journey to get there is proving more difficult to build than I'd anticipated. Add to that a heavy school workload—brought about in part by a zero-hour change in major—and I haven't been able to work on this story as much as I'd like to. Still, I anticipate that once things cool down for me, I'll be able to pound away at it in earnest. In order to make everything I'd pre-planned for this story work, I made some significant modifications to the existing DC mainstream universe, blending elements of DCTV with elements of the New Earth, Prime Earth, and Earth-16 continuums. I will state flat-out to anyone who will listen that I hate New 52's Superman and Wonder Woman. That impostor getting ganked was the best decision the writers could've made; he ruined the whole point of Superman—he's supposed to be an ideal, incorruptible to a certain extent; not some angsty, egotistical twit with a fixation on Diana. *sigh* Okay, rant over. Seriously, though. Screw New 52's Superman. On that note, both Supes and WW will be far closer to their classic/Earth-16 counterparts for obvious reasons. Other details about this universe (designated Earth-1) will arise in the story itself as needed to explain certain circumstances. There will be crossovers with several other of my DC originals on an infrequent basis, though the really big ones will have significant impact on the overall plot. Apart from that, I think that's about all I can say about this without giving too much away, so stop by the story and check out what I have. Ciao. ON HIATUS - "Transformers" - All stories in the Transformers universe, unless otherwise specified, fall into a shared alternate universe, the primary differences being that Arcee and Chromia survived the Battle of Egypt. A few other Transformers not featured in the movies will also have their debut, including some from mainstream G1 and Prime continuums. I was especially fond of Prime universe's Smokescreen, so expect to see him at some point before the Dark of the Moon arc. He will play a very important part both in the Battle of Chicago and afterward. No Predacons...yet. They seemed a little overpowered in Prime to be used in the movieverse. I will integrate some key Insecticons, and I have a few ideas about their alternate forms. Essentially, I'll be basing them off insectoid versions of the Dinobots from TF4, only smaller. Much, much smaller. In robot form, the average (of the three, maybe four total) height will be around 24 feet or so. Also, since most of the story arcs in this continuum have considerable time gaps between them, send me a PM or review if you want to see a match-up with any particular characters, within reason, of course. And only for major characters that have been established as already on Earth. For reference on that point, I'll try to put a list of Transformers known to be on Earth in an Author's Note at the beginning of every chapter after Chapter 4. Understand that I, and only I, hold the power to kill off major characters, and I will do so sparingly, so even if I get a suggestion, say, to have Megatron be attacked by the zealous and slightly arrogant Smokescreen, I'll engineer the encounter so that they both survive, albeit with a few very large scratches. COMING AT SOME POINT - "Tron Lives!" - Okay, so...this is a fandom that is surprisingly small, considering how downright cool the concept is, but...I guess I can understand. Actually, no. I don't. I don't understand in the least why Disney cancelled TRON: Uprising. It was hands-down one of the best animated series I've ever seen in my life. And they ended it on a freaking cliffhanger, of all things. That was about four or five years ago now. Ever since then, I've been tossing around this idea, the idea to finish what Disney started and abandoned and bridge the gap between Uprising and Legacy. So, that's what I'm going to do. I've ironed out some more of the kinks in recent memory, starting to really flesh out the meat and story of what I'll be writing, and if I may say so myself, I think it's going to be fantastic. I couldn't have written a story to do this incredible universe justice when I first got the idea, but I think now, years later, it's safe to say that I can. So, here's to the revival and revolution of a long-abandoned computer world. And remember: TRON LIVES! COMING AT SOME POINT - "War of the Stars" - So, I know there are a great deal of Mass Effect-Star Wars crossovers on this site. I mean, come on, how could there not be, given their similarities? But more to the point, I've come up with an idea: my universe and characters from Beskar'la Aliit (but more specifically Xel himself, at least at first) merged with Mass Effect. This story has been in my headspace for a long time, but I can't really work on it much or release a single line of it until I'm probably at least halfway through the second story in my Star Wars series, A'den be Haran. Mainly so because the first story in War of the Stars begins somewhere around 8 or 9 ABY. It'll be starting partway through the first Mass Effect, and encompass an alternate universe to the canon of my Star Wars series, obviously. What will make my particular crossover different from all the rest I've come across is that the two galaxies (Star Wars and the Milky Way) are not as separate as either side would like to think, and are indeed connected in ways that none of them could've expected. How so? You'll have to find out in like two years, because that's about how long it's taken me just to get this far in Kandosii'tal, much less A'den. I will give you a hint, though. If you've read Kandosii'tal, you'll know that the twins' bloodlines are linked to powerful figures from the ancient time of the Old Republic, and that era was fraught with the creation and discovery of various superweapons, some of even more ancient origin, namely the Rakatan Infinite Empire and their like. Based on the fact that the Rakata disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and created machines and technology with techniques lost to time that could perform feats with borderline magic, it leaves a bit of a gap for speculation and adaptation. Anyway, without giving too much away, suffice to say that the big bad of A'den be Haran (and in actuality the big bad of Kandosii'tal, as well) is obsessed with artifacts from that time for this very reason, thus how it all connects to War of the Stars. At any rate, this is just something I wanted to get out there as an explanation for that poll I had up, and a preview of something to look forward to in the distant future. ON HIATUS - "The White Revenant" - This particular entry isn't something I had originally planned on. It just popped into my head when I was trying to vanquish a bout of writer's block, and when I got started, it just flowed, at least for the first couple of chapters. I probably won't be updating it very frequently, but you know me; I do love to tie things up rather neatly. It does have a long overarching storyline planned (sort of), but I don't expect to be very consistent about updates. When I do finally get it done, though, I expect to have an impressive, fully developed original character that may or may not transfer to other universes of my making. Considering the vast scope of the multiverse - and the fact that speedsters are notoriously capable of jumping between universes - it's far from outside the realm of possibility. Safe to say, the White Revenant is a character I would very much like to use in the future. |
