Even without duel weilding you can use two swords... their just wasn't any skills based around it... that said he actually could do something similar to what he does in ALO and use the one handed sword skills on both blades... this works because while one sword is under cool down he can just immediately respond with the other... allowing him to an extent to bypass the cool downs all together and chain one handed sword skill attacks...

BTW I'm aware you've already completed this story but I still wanted to say something...

I want to be mad that you gave the dual wielding skill to Yuuki but honestly she's too innocent and adorable to be mad at. Seems Kirito had the same idea.

Also no offence but I sincerely doubt your claim that you can train your reaction speeds in any largely significant amount. Maybe just a little, but not enough to the point where you're the fastest out of 8000 other people, unless you were born naturally gifted with reaction times in the top 5% of the population.

Been a while since I watched the anime though... but I swear it was mentioned by Kirito himself that if Yuuki was a player in the SAO incident she'd have a real chance of taking over as the player with the fastest reaction speeds anyway, so the point is moot. Plus you did mention this story wasn't focused on the action anyway, more on the character interactions. Just hope Kirito has some kind of redeeming trait other than his familial bonds since he ain't the No.1 solo player, nor the dual wielding warrior of Aincrad, nor even the solid leader of the group... just the big brother who has connections I guess.

That slender part had me laughing my ass off though. Good memories.

It was pretty good but the last two chapters felt really rushed, can't say it was a very satisfactory ending but at least it was an ending. Worth a read regardless.

Okay, I have read this ghost chapter before, however that was both before I had finished SAO II and before having read any of your other stories (Shared Strength), so assuming that Yuuki and Aiko were OCs, and OCs generally have to be well justified in my opinion (it need not be elaborately or complexly justified, just well) I abandoned it at that point. I have now done those, and have also watched the first two episodes of Kiss X Sis, and this bears a strong resemblance to that (for the record, I won't recommend it, though I have enjoyed what I have seem of that show), so I will keep reading this. Looking forward to getting through the read of this.

Damn that was a good read. Reading this whole fic in a day was ill advised considering finals are next week but hey, I mean I can't stop reading if the brain don't wanna stop reading. Your fic focused on one of the golden aspects of fanfiction, and that's character interaction. Being able to create scenes from tidbits of personalities and making it all seem plausible is truly impressive and I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel giddy at points reading all the good-natured fluff and absolute adorableness coming from the girls. The characters you chose were unique considering I don't think I've ever read a fic with Aiko in it, and even though this fic finished almost 2 years ago, I hope more people stumble upon it like I did. This story is truly one of the greats out there for SAO fanfiction and I'll definitely check out your other stuff!

Damn I really got excited when Silica jumped on Kirito's back because I thought it was best girl Argo finally making her grand appearance. I find it kind of unbelievable that they're this far up Aincrad and have yet to run into each other.

I’m sorry to say, while I say this story as something I’d like to read after looking through the reviews. I can’t unfortunately read this mostly due to you taking away Kiritos dual sword ability with no adequate reason. Especially after looking at the AN for this chapter. Since that isn’t a reason at all but a excuse.

You see the reason as stated in SAO he was given the swords (since he first logged in) was the “potential” of his reaction speed and also the fact that his reaction speed was born with him as a ability, he didn’t after countless years train it as you seem to be under the impression of.

After all as a saying goes there’s those who are born with talent and those who aren’t, those who aren’t have to go and struggle with days, months, years of training compared to anyone with the talent they were born with. Kirito was born with his reaction speed, unfortunately though as good as reaction speed is it doesn’t help you in real life when it comes to “sparing” which his grandfather tries teaching him, such he can react super fast however it doesn’t help if your own body either can’t keep up or isn’t trained enough in the proper movements. In Kiritos case it was his body, his body wasn’t fit to be trained endlessly like his sister could, neither did he have the will to do so as well.

So essentially your argument is by all intent and purposes wrong. Not to mention I’m not willing to read a story of Kirito being weak either.

Then like seriously what the fuck? “I didn’t want to give Kazuto his super special skill when he’s not super-edgy-loner-guy this time around.”
That’s one of the lamest excuses I’ve ever seen and the most biggest misinterpretation of Kiritos personality I’ve ever seen. Kirito has never ever been either edgy, or much of a loner. It’s either you don’t understand empathy or how people work to not even be capable of understanding one extremely simple reason why Kirito acted the way he did up until he got together with Asuna.

So let’s start... first you realize your stuck in a death game, you already were highly skilled after playing the beta so you know where to go so you can best help everyone else. And Kirito does just that after saying goodbye to Klein since he didn’t have the time to spare to wait for the rest of his friends. It had nothing to do about being a loner. Or being edgy.

Then there’s there’s what happened at the First floor boss, you are a beta, you are being accused of being the cause of the leaders death. You’ve got a few options, one of the least obvious but the most unselfish would be to take all the anger against betas and direct it at himself so that the Betas wouldn’t be both hunter and accused except it’ll only be him who is being accused. Now that’s the option Kirito picked.
After that he purposely left to go solo again because anyone who’s close to him could be prosecuted or have anger directed at them right after the first floor incident. Because after all he’s not a loner and he’s absolutely not edgy he just wants to keep everyone he can safe especially those he cares about.
Lastly there’s the Moonlit Black Cats... would you call that being edgy or a loner I absolutely doubt it.
However after they all died yes he would of became a loner for a little bit... but that’s the thing absolutely anyone would, hell most people would end up going off the deep end after that. For breaking his promise and both causing the death and being unable to prevent the death of that Guild.

However he wasn’t being edgy or being a loner by pushing everyone away afterwards. It’s because he was still experiencing grief and was hoping that if people stayed away from him he won’t accidentally cause their death.

I could go on and on and on about this however that’s too much words and I’ve already given a few examples. So while I haven’t read the story besides the AN note I still regardless have to quit this story because I can’t honestly respect or expect a good story from someone who had that view of the original Kirito. So well good luck I guess.
