Love it and seriously wish it was longer or had a sequel about how they defeated Voldy ect

This was an excellent and very believable version of an entirely human and fallible Dumbledore who is neither perfectly good nor evil. It really makes me want to see the rest of this story play out in a longer form.

No! I want more! This feels so good compared to the usual, let's bash Dumbledore! I hate Dumbledore bashing, but I love this, it wasn't bashing him, more of admitting that you're not perfect, and as Dumbledore said trying to change.

Wow...a Dumbledore it is actually possible to respect. That’s pretty unique in fanfiction (they are usually Dumbles The Secretly Evil, Dumbles The Well Intentioned Manipulator, or Dumbles The Ludicrously Saintly...caricatures, in other words). Good stuff, thanks for posting!

Greatest rendition Albus I seen in a long time. Sick of the Dumbledore.. shits getting old (no pun intended) real quick. Like we get Albus has done some questionable things in the books but In the end the man is still human give him a break.

Well done! I would enjoy a follow up set of drabbles showing snippets of the summer through the conclusion of the struggle.

Truly sympathetic Dumbledores are strange and rare. But this here is one, captured not as the master manipulator that the last two books turned him into, but as the overwrought old man who had been pushed too far, in ways he was meant to handle.

While he certainly manipulated Harry's life up until here and has hardly redeemed himself, this Dumbledore has earned sympathy, and perhaps pity.

A beautiful characterisation of a character I normally hate.

This is the best fanon interpretation of Dumbledore I've ever read. It's very easy to vilify Albus, because when you read HP from an adult perspective the whole series becomes quite horrifying, as most child hero series become.

This is a nice, honest look at Dumbledore though, and I wholly approve. There is at least one minor grammatical issue (a change of tense near the end), but technically the writing is meritorious. Further you resist the temptation to turn the story into something it's not - it's so easy in this kind of scene to turn the whole thing into justification for Harry's misadventures from birth to the present moment.

In summary, it's really a lovely little piece, and I'm glad to have read it.
