It is hillarious that no one told Elizabeth how to protect her mind, even if they help her to protect her body. It gets a bit boring that everything goes in favor of Malfoy. They use Elizabeths talents without her doing anything to stop it. And hat explicitly told her to protect the mind.

One major problem with story so far - dialogs happen simultaneously. 1 sentence it is Elizabeth with DDD then it is Harry with Hagrid then back to Elizabeth. Very confusing.

I think that Elizabeth can persuade the affluent to not abuse House Elves, but to do so she would likely need to show them how well that that are not abused and are more likely welcomed or loved do.

I can't wait to see how the Malfoy Winter Ball goes. Especially if Elizabeth can start laying the groundwork for House Elf protections during it.

I hope Harry and Elizabeth hear good things about Eleanor and Delta soon.

This story really fits the theme of it's Title.

Peter Pettigrew would always be Scabbers, the Variable being wether or not he betrayed the Potters.

Qurriel would always be controlled by the Parasite that is Voldemort. The Variable bring HOW and WHERE he was defeated.

Draco Malfoy's Constant is his arrogance. His variable is his ties with Harry, his Family bonds and his growth as a person.

Gilderoy Lockhart? His Constant is that he'd always be hired as the Second Year DADA teacher, and be a Celebrity. His Variable is his Competence and skill.

I LOVE this story as a Result. Your story strongly follows it's theme and scores Home Runs as a result.

I am finding myself liking this version of Gilderoy Lockhart more and more with each new chapter. It makes me wonder exactly if this is a different version of him that actually HAS all of the moxxy and competence to back up the claims in his books without having to resort to Obliviates to take the credit from others?
If his Flamboyant Attitude and Overflowing Charisma is the Constant, than the truth of his competency has to be the Variable. He seems as though he had stepped out into Africa alongside Theodore Roosevelt to hunt down big game as a Tracker.

Beyond this, I am intrigued to how Harry Potters' duel will match up since in this continuity Draco Malfoy isn't his personal enemy and Blaize Zabini is still petrified, how will the two of them match up in dueling exactly without the haze of personal rivalry clouding them like in the original story?

Interesting story thus far, and a very interesting twist on the story in that Peter Pettigrew was technically innocent of the deaths of Lily and James since somebody else shared that information with Voldemort, and that Peter himself was Framed Up to fulfill the role of Sirius Blacks' original Frame Up.

It'd be interesting to see how Moony reacts to meeting Wormtail again and finding out that both he and Padfoot were actually innocent of Prongs' untimely demise. On top of the effect and ramifications that this would have for the Wizarding World as a whole with all three surviving Marauders back together should Wormtail be forgiven and side with his friends against The Death Eaters.

I for one like this take you have on Gilderoy Lockhart, giving him that air of vanity and arrogance, yet giving him an underlying depth for intrinsic thinking: using the details from his books in the assignment not as much ego-stroking but also as a lesson in vigilance and comprehensiveness. Methinks that Gilderoys' hidden depths might be one of the Variables necessary to avoid his fate?
