For the sake of my sanity, I must assume that this is the final chapter. That this moment, when Snot is ready to accept dragons into his life, is the epitome of the struggle that Astrid endured since meeting Hiccup. I have to assume that after this, things move forward and they kill the queen. That's the only way I'll be able to emotionally move on from this story. It is literally a masterpiece. A breathtaking piece of work that I am so glad I finally got to read. Thank you for writing this and sharing it and I can only imagine the time and energy it took to create something so wonderful. I won't look forward to more, this is the ending I'll live on with. You're an incredible writer! Thank you.

My favorite thing about stories where Hiccup has grown up away from Stoick, is their reunion. I live for it because their relationship is my favorite thing about the httyd series. The end of this chapter made my heart melt and I'm grinning like a fool as I bask in the good feelings of "finally he knows the truth and can love his son again"!

Everything about this story have been wonderful so far. I'm always impressed with your writing style, but you're ability to take these characters and give them so much life and blood pumping through their veins makes me speechless sometimes. I've been holding off reading this story for a while, knowing it would be well done. I was apprehensive to fall in love, once again, with something you've written because I'd become obsessed. Well, I couldn't hold out any longer, and I have plunged head first with no regret. Thank you for writing this and I can't wait to keep reading!

Man. I remember reading this masterpiece the first time in 2014.
I’m so glad I went back to check it out after all this time.. I’m not sure if you’ll ever continue this fanfic but just so you know, this has been a big chunk of some of the most wonderful memories I’ve had in highschool. Where I’d spend my time reading this in the bus while it’s picking up the other students, between lunch breaks since I was more interested in reading this than social interactions, and even before I sleep. I really loved dedicating my time to enjoying this and fully immersing myself in this alternate universe. I Thank you sincerely for this experience that I will be forever cherishing.
