As always, a simply fantastic chapter. The Aincrad battle scene was beautifully portrayed. I think you conveyed their cohesiveness as a team very well with it. They were dishing out hits like bam and blam and slam and ram. Too weird? Too weird. Anyway, we got to see some Rythin Kayaba time, which is reminiscient of the original book. Both have changed so much. It's astounding, really. I've always liked their interactions, and this is no different. Well done. And finally, the wrap-up with Kana and Nick agreeing to house together in college. That was sweet. Oh, and in response to your question, I update because why the hell not? Your stories are among my favorite ever and by far the best fanfictions I've ever read. Plus, I gotta give Hammiam some conpetition, even if he stills updates it far more often then me. *sigh* Can't be the best at everything. To end this off, this story met and exceeded all my expectations. I thank you for writing it, and await the next installment of Nightblade. Until then, may the odds be ever in your favor. Regardless, Brave Song was really nice (even if it does bring back the feels from Angel Beats, you fuck!), lots of NickKana fluff which was great and subtle character development that leads into Viper’s Bite.

I do wish you had done something more with the Kirito becoming OP over night thing, but considering you tend to follow canon fairly closely I knew it wasn’t going to happen. Though, I would have loved to see how ape shit Nick would have went if Kana lost her memories. That right there would have been something to really get some fire back into Nick.

Can’t wait for the return of old school Nick with Progessive. Cheers!

I loved how you presented Nick and Kana's relationship (also the Nick and Shino relationship) with what happen afterwards. I loved the fight, with the actions from Argo and Rythin that adds on to the brilliantly written form of the original movie fight. Last but not least the imp avator and the description of Yuuki by Rythin really shows how deep Yuuki has impacted Nick without outright stating it. All in all it is so good, the whole story including the chapter name.

I could see Nick staying in the real world for some reason, opting to coordinate an effort against the bosses as opposed to hopping in to help take out the big boss. Maybe a non-canon side story?

And you're right. Even with Nick's help, they had pushed the suspension of disbelief quite far. The bosses in the movie must have looks super weak when Kirito pulled those stunts all by himself.

I'm fucking hyped. This chapter got my adrenaline pumping and my bloodlust flaring, so I feel like I'm ready for a fight. I'm excited to see them beat this thing. On a different note, you weren't alone in thinking the bosses were pathetically weak. One of the few things I wasn't fond of about the movie. Oh, yeah, I fucking loved seeing Eiji get beaten to the ground. That was fun. Anyway, I am anticipating the next chapter.

God that sounds so stupid, there's no way literally every player in SAO has memories of Yuna let alone even knew she existed. Or that those memories would even make a decent baseline for Yuna. Since you know, scared for her fucking life in a death game.

I like how you progress the relationship between Nick, Kana and Shino here. They’re bonding with each other so naturally and sweet that I can see how they would all end up in the relationship together down the road.

Yes, a new chapter! Fun! The fight scene was epic, as always. Kazuto is finally getting a semblance of being in shape, huh? Good. Then we had Kana and Nick time! Yay! Those two are always fun to watch. And Nick gets his ring size, which is indicative of his snake ring. At least, I think. Anyway, I'm excited for the concert scene and letting the rest of the story unravel. Though, that could be next chapter or many chapters later... I'm excitedly awaiting the next chapter!
