Just something I came upon while reading Newton’s biography, thought I’d share with you if you haven’t read this-

Rinnegan:

Interlinked Vision: Like the ability shown by Nagato Uzumaki’s six paths of pain in the manga, Naruto Uzumaki’s shadow clones also possess the ability to share their visions with each other as well as the original. However, this ability (first discovered in Ch 29) came as a result of activating the level two as Naruto Uzumaki hadn’t noticed this when using the shadow clones before.

Juubi Mode (Ten Tailed Beast Mode): This mode has been rarely seen and it seems Naruto Uzumaki has no control over this mode whatsoever. In this, Naruto’s while body starts to get glow white/grey and sometimes has a Dark aurora; the glow in fact is so bright that anyone near him would have to shield his/her eyes. Another astonishing change that Hana Inuzuka noticed in this mode is that his Rinnegan now has three tomoes in each of the two rings (level two) just like that of Juubi’s eyes. We saw the first glimpse of this mode just after Naruto had activated Rinnegan’s second level. In this mode, the only effect we have discovered so far is that the healing and regenerative powers of his white chakra are given a sky rocketing boost. Such are the healing effects of his chakra that Naruto Uzumaki was able to heal a hole in Anko Mitarashi’s stomach caused by Sasuke Uchiha’s katana (in Ch 27). Naruto was also able to bring back Hiruzen Sarutobi from the verge of death (in Ch 31) by using this mode. That time however, it seemed as if he had somewhat used this mode on will- deeply concentrating in his adrenaline pumping situation as he had desperately tried to save his grandfather-like figure. All in all, this mode has been used by Naruto in extreme situations so far and has only been seen twice in the fic. It is still unknown if the Juubi mode came with the second level of the Rinnegan or if it was because of Naruto Uzumaki’s emotions at those times during the Invasion Arc

Uzume (Goddess of Mirth and Revelry):In this technique, the user goes through a short number of required handseals- ending the set on the ‘ram’ one. Afterwards, the user slams one of his/her’s hand on the ground while maintaining the ‘half-ram’ seal with the other hand. The result is a large glowing circle (only the circumference being blue in color) forming around the user with his/her hand as the center. Afterwards, glowing pink petals start to originate from the user’s hand, expanding outwards until they touch the circumference of the circle. The effects are that the user’s vision is given a mind boggling boost for a short amount of time- the range, sharpness, perception….everything is flared up.Another disadvantage of this technique is that the glowing colors on the ground can easily give away stealth during missions.

Shinto (Way of the Penitent God):This mainly involves sharing the user’s vision with another person. To use this, the person (with whom the vision has to be shared) has to go through these handseals- Ox, Dog, Dragon, Tiger and Ram. Then, keeping the ‘half-ram’ seal in position with one hand, the person touches the user with his other hand- preferably putting the hand on the user’s shoulder. The persons with whom the vision is being shared can be multiple and the number solely depends on the skill of the user. The person touching the user can now see everything as if he/she has a Byakugan himself/herself for a short period of time- also gaining the complete angle vision around them. For the person to control this newly acquired vision- pushing chakra into his/her eyes ‘zooms-in’ his vision (depends on the amount of chakra being applied) and pulling chakra off his/her eyes would ‘zooms-out’ his vision.

Using Shinto in conjunction with Uzume is extremely difficult and takes a long time to master - these techniques can be used independently and in no way do their functionality depends on each other.

Uzushio Curse Seal: This seal, can be called as a descendent of Orochimaru’s curse seal derived from Jugo. A version called the ‘Jinchuriki’s Mark’ or simply- as termed by Naruto and Kushina—the Uzushio Curse Seal. Its appearance is just like the swirling mark of the Uzumaki clan; only red in color. Here the seal can be used to store their Bijuu's chakra and can be given to others without any side effects, can telepathically contact the others (possessing the Uzushio Curse Seal) in a circular area of radius 2 miles and lastly , they can also feel each other’s life force and position (upon activating the seal). So to activate the seal, the user has to tap the mark on his/her neck with chakra laced index and middle finger before speaking ‘Kai’ (Release). To deactivate it, the user has to do the same again before verbalizing ‘Fuin’ (Seal).

Elemental Dragon Summoning Contract: This contract, as told by Kushina, was possessed by the Uzumaki Clan and as such, can only be used by an Uzumaki or it can be said in reverse that the elemental dragons only allow an Uzumaki to summon them. Based on the nature of chakra the user pours into the summoning technique, different dragons corresponding to that chakra nature are summoned. Therefore if a user pours fire chakra into the summoning technique, a fire dragon would be summoned. However, there are also those dragons who get summoned if the user pours his/her normal chakra. These dragons are the non-elemental ones which are mainly used for scouting and are easier to summon. There are three levels in this summoning contract just like in the case of a shinobi.

Rookie Claws:Dragons being on the first level are called the ‘Rookie Claws’. They have one claw on each of their four limbs, possessing a single basic element as their major affinity and hence can be divided into five types- Earth Dragons, Fire Dragons, Water Dragons, Lightning Dragons and Wind Dragons. The size of these dragons is equivalent to an adult human. Here are some of the Rookie Claw dragons introduced so far-

-- Mizuchi- ‘A river dragon and considered as a water deity in Japanese Mythology’— Mizuchi is a wind type Rookie Claw dragon and also the commander of the Imperial Guards of Watatsumi (boss summon for water dragons). He is a red dragon having a typical dragon body with the only difference of one claw on each feet and hands, pale yellow scales, a glowing light blue insignia of wind on both his wings while on the back he has a black Uzumaki's swirling sign, his size almost double to that of an average human- another exception among the elemental dragons.

-- Kiyohime (Purity Princess)- ‘In Japanese mythology, she was initially a tea house waitress who fell in love with a young Buddhist priest. After he spurned her, she studied magic, transformed into a dragon and then killed him’ (lol)—Kiyohime is a non-elemental feminine dragon who is pinkish-red in colour, her usual bright shining eyes are a beautiful shade of green with black slits while her scales are oceanic blue in color. There’s a red scarf wrapped around her neck on which is the stitched Uzumaki swirling sign. Overall, Kiyohime looks very attractive to even the humans and is considered the cutest female dragon among the Rookie Claws. She has a caring personality seems to have a ‘crush’ on Naruto Uzumaki and deeply admires him- often openly expressing her concern for his health.

In the Elemental Dragons clan, non-elemental dragons are usually looked down upon and are unable to ascend from the first level- and hence are bound to forever being stuck as a Rookie Claw. However, there is a myth that a non elemental dragon named Kinryu (Golden Dragon) had ascended to the third level- the Fifth Blaze, which had happened during the Rikudou Sennin’s era. This is only treated as some sort of fairy tale in the Elemental Dragons clan. Kiyohime too, like the other non-elemental dragons was looked down upon and this had put the seeds for her dream of one day becoming the Fifth Blaze. Other dragons constantly made fun of her considering her dream while she just ignored them and continued on, training herself every day. Finally she became strong enough to be chosen as the only non-elemental dragon for serving Watatsumi by being one of his imperial guards. Still, she continues to pursue her dream and this is the main reason she admires Naruto Uzumaki.

--Koryu (Flood Dragon)- ‘Name of a Japan’s midget submarine’— Koryu is a fire dragon and is one of the Imperial guards of Watatsumi. His scaled skin is a light shade of brown in color, his scales typical pale yellow in color while his eyes are blood red with a thin black slit. Most of the time he’s serious and often gets into arguments with Kiyohime- who he considers as his sister and inwardly believes in her dream.

Tri Clapperclaw: The next level is the ‘Tri Clapperclaw’ in which the ascended dragon has three claws on each of his/her four limbs and may gain a new basic element or retain his previous basic element and the dragon generally becomes twice as large as before. Also, if a dragon gains a new element in this second level, then he/she wouldn’t be able to use the previous basic element they could when they were on level one. For the ones retaining the same element, their affinity of said element gets stronger with their attacks related to that element getting stronger. Here are some of the Tri Clapperclaw dragons introduced thus far-

-- Ri Riu- ‘Ri Riu is recognized as one of the main Japanese dragon kings, having a wonderful sight who can see more than 100 miles’—This is Kushina’s personal summon first introduced in Ch 22, and is a Tri Clapperclaw water dragon. Coming to Ri Riu’s appearance, he is a human sized blue dragon (an exception considering Tri Clapperclaw dragons are usually twice the size of an average human), it's eyes light red with black slits, two mass tendrils on his nose, his teeth razor sharp, three claws in each hand, two large scaled wings a tail. According to Ayumi, Ri Riu is a special dragon among his species having several unique abilities- which she stated to be able to read other’s mind by just staring into their eyes. However, it is unknown as to if he was a water dragon when he was on the Rookie Claw level or if he possessed some other element.

--Tianlong (Heavenly Dragon)- ‘A Chinese celestial dragon that guards heavenly palaces and also pulls divine chariots’—Tianlong is a lightning dragon and was introduced in Ch 25 when Naruto Uzumaki summoned it during the Invasion Arc. It is a giant blue dragon, almost equalling Shukaku’s hieght, two large wings with large glowing yellow bolts imprinted on each of them, three sharp claws on each four limbs, it's teeth razor sharp with two fangs protruding out of his mouth, pale yellow scales on the frontal part of his body while his eyes are a light shade of yellow with black slits in each of them along with several battle scars on his body. His personality is shown to be pretty laid back and carefree- often tending to joke and get on Naruto Uzumaki’s nerves. Regarding its large size comparable to the Fifth Blaze dragons and the tailed beasts- Tianlong is also an exception just like Ri Riu.

Fifth Blaze: Finally, the third and the last level, in which number of claws on each limb of a dragon increases to five- the ‘Fifth Blaze’. The size of the dragon increases to that of boss summons or tailed beasts and may even surpass them. In this , the elements which the double ascended dragon possessed when he was the Rookie Claw and the Tri Clapperclaw add up to create a new secondary element. Example- suppose a wind dragon (Rookie Claw) ascends to the Tri Clapperclaw and becomes a water dragon, then when he/she becomes the Fifth Blaze—he/she becomes an ice dragon. Therefore the dragons can further be divided into- the ‘Pure Fifth Blaze’ and the ‘Mixed Fifth Blaze’. The dragons belonging to the Pure Fifth Blaze are those who had retained their basic elements since they were the Rookie Claw and the Tri Clapperclaw- and thus keep the same element when they become the Fifth Blaze. Example- suppose an Earth dragon (Rookie Claw) ascends to the Tri Clapperclaw to remain as an Earth dragon, then when he becomes the Fifth Blaze—he will become a Pure Earth dragon. The advantage of this is that the dragon gains godly affinity for that specific basic element and his/her attacks related to that basic element are given a massive boost. Now coming to the Mixed Fifth Blaze- here as the name signifies and as said above, two elements (one when the dragon was a Rookie Claw and the other when the dragon was the Tri Clapperclaw) combine to form a new elemental dragon—called the Mixed Fifth Blaze. Now coming to one of the main abilities of the Fifth Blaze dragons; these dragons gain a human form when they become the Fifth Blaze. Therefore, they can change their forms at will. In their human forms, these dragons are much faster and can fight in areas where their size may be a hindrance. However, human form of any Fifth Blaze dragon hasn’t been shown yet in the fic. Some of the Fifth Blaze (Pure and Mix both) dragons introduced so far are as follows-

--Watatsumi (Sea God)-‘Known as the ruler of seas and oceans and renowned for having a human form in Japanese mythology’—The boss summon for the water dragons, hence Watatsumi is a Pure Fifth Blaze. He too is not officially introduced in the fic but was mentioned by Kushina Uzumaki in Ch 25.

-- Sui Riu- ‘Sui Riu is also one of the main recognized dragon kings in Japan mythology. It is a rain dragon, which when in pain causes red rain, covered by its blood’—The right hand ‘man’ of Watatsumi- Sui Riu is a major summon among the water dragons, and hence is a Pure Fifth Blaze. Though not officially introduced, Ri Riu did mention Sui Riu in Ch 22. As such, not much is known about the abilities or the appearance of Sui Riu.

-- Qinglong (Azure Dragon)- ‘A mythological creature in Chinese constellations and is also related to the East of the Chinese Four Symbols’—Qinglong is an ice dragon, and hence a Mixed Fifth Blaze. He too isn’t officially introduced yet thought Naruto Uzumaki did summon him during the one month timeskip and was mentioned in Ch 22. Not much has yet been revealed about Qinglong though.

--Dilong (Earth Dragon)- ‘Controller of rivers and seas’—As the literal meaning obviously suggests, Dilong is an earth dragon and also a Fifth Blaze. He is a huge brown serpentine dragon (like Shenlong in Dragonball series), possible taller than Gamabunta, his eyes are blood red with no pupils whatsoever, five claws on each of its limb with two typical large wings. His large stature and booming voice itself is pretty intimidating. One ability of Dilong which has been shown so far is he can sense seismic activity by just keeping his feet in contact with the ground. Another special ability of his is that once inside him, a person (except the summoner)cannot mould his chakra- though Dilong can allow the person to mould his charka for some period of time.

There was also this one special summoning which Naruto Uzumaki did during the Invasion Arc-

Kuchiyose No Jutsu: Watatsumi no Kōteikeibi-in (Summoning Technique: Imperial Guards of the Sea God)This is a mass summoning technique used by Naruto Uzumaki during the Invasion Arc in Ch 25. Basically this technique needs considerable amounts of chakra and summons a group of thirty Rookie Claw dragons. According to Kushina, the dragons in this group lead by Mizuchi, are the imperial guards of boss summon of the water dragons- Watatsumi. Also, it is yet unknown if each boss dragon has guards for his/her protection. This group includes elemental as well as non-elemental dragons. The known dragons in this group aside from Mizuchi are- Kiyohime and Koryu. These dragons treat each other as siblings while their attacks are usually well coordinated and can be really destructive. The dress code for this group- however, can be termed as unusual and funny. Though if they find you making fun of them or laughing at them- only the summoner can save you.

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''My heart nearly stopped.The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.''I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'''OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'''I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'''My mommy loves white roses.'A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.Was this the family of the little boy?Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him
