You do realize that we're now 6 chapters in and we're not even at chapter 1 of the real story? I don't MIND yami naruto, but the question becomes which is real? For all intense and purpose naruto was TURNED into the three things he is, his dna was re-written, so really him PLAYING at being human is the deception. the "hidden power", him being a monster is "NORMAL", so doesn't that mean YAMI naruto is the real one, and NORMAL naruto is in fact the fake? His "good" side is made up of lying to himself, believing lies told to him by the hokage and trying to FIT IN with people that aren't even his KIND anymore. It's BURYING every part of him that KNOWS what it wants to do to them and now has the POWER to do it! Really THIS naruto is THE FAKE! (lets face it, you said yourself "it's amazing that the boy hasn't become insane or gone rouge"... what if his CRAZY is acting NORMAL?). AND what if now that he has the power, the mask begins to FALL AWAY!

You COULD have done with this one, make a few alterations and a few changes where the story goes (definite changes from canon, they barely make sense with what they have.).. but all in all THIS could work. Ex. your a TEEN and the very village that has been against you from birth wants you suddenly for ONE or two projects (I had a similar thing happen in my life and I threw the request in the garbage) the person you SUPPOSEDLY trust, lied about EVERYTHING to you and not just you but everyone around you making you hated... YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. this isn't "wait until he can know".. this is "I shot myself in the foot and now it's time to take my medicine".

I never understood the whole "orochimaru must never gain the sharringan" thing, I mean yeah he can learn jutsu, SO WHAT? Without his arms he can't USE them! He can't even teach them... Doesn't that kinda shoot in the foot everything they are worried about? and even if he GETS the sharringan, he'll only have it for 3 years then it's toast along with the last person he can get it FROM, so that's kinda self-defeating. Even if he impregnated a bunch of girls in sasuke's body, there is no way to tell if they even have or would awaken the sharringan, and besides it would be at least a decade and a half before they became USABLE! So all in all, much like the third's "keep his identity secret", the plan just SUCKS! (short-term awesome, long-term What was the author ON?)

ACTUALLY fanfiction has a NUMBER of things garbled that MIGHT point to a REASON... NOBODY is treated special in the clans.. INO (yammanka) is treated the EXACT SAME as sakura (civilian), everyone is treated as equal candidates for shinobi recruitment regardless of clan. (granted naruto should have been told he was at least FROM a clan).. Naruto in canon DID know the hokage knew his mother, and maybe knew her name too, (the scarf he gave hinata)... and in fact during the pein thing when minato showed up, naruto WAS NOT SURPRISED! Also on the sasuke thing, Naruto was NOT SUPPOSED to be on the mission (wasn't even supposed to KNOW about it).. It wasn't retrieval, it was "make sure orochimaru DOESN'T get the sharringan, if sasuke was TAKEN, bring him back"... Now I dunno about you, but that's the closest a kid's show can come from "assassinate the target".

So we have kyuubi, 3 other personalities (considering his forms) and yami, NOT to mention a "instinct" or "mean" personality that will come out if he "loses it" and him "normal"... So an ENTIRE PARTY in his head, don't you think this is a BIT much? Give him the monster powers then make him come TO GRIPS WITH IT! That's the entire problem of the series! NOBODY CAN DEAL WITH WHAT HAPPENED OR WHO THEY ARE...Negji, sasuke, obitedo, nageto, the third, orochi, tsunade, jiryiya, danzo, Iserbi, Shion, Hinata, the villagers, kakashi, Sakura, NOBODY can stare their own reflection in the eye AND DEAL WITH IT! DEAL WITH IT.. "I AM A MONSTER"...then GO FROM THERE. What you are, barely reflects WHO you are.. How you chose to deal with WHAT you are defines you. Not the other way around. But you HAVE to start by defining WHAT! Case in point, naruto not knowing his parents.. To everyone ELSE it would be a big deal, to him? HOW? Would it change a darn thing? Would he stop being him? Because of WHAT? People he's never met or knew? The only shocking part would be how STUPID OTHER people can be! And how DUMB his parents were! And how totally the third IS AGAINST HIM! (come on even a non-dark story, the third for all intense and purposes, DOES go against not only naruto but EVERYTHING his predecessors and successor stands for! For NO REAL REASON! That's not a slap in the face, that's a BASH in the face with a mace, and NO FANFIC I have ever seen actually explains that one)

They all seem amazed and shocked he hasn't gone rouge or insane, BUT AREN'T THEY AT FAULT? As in this SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED? As in THEY WOULD have... Instead of being amazed shouldn't they be CORRECTING THIS!? Or at the LEAST, not punishing him IF he strikes out! Call it "cleaning up their mess for them!" After all, what he is now, isn't a HERO, it's a DOORMAT! One which I can honestly say, the VILLAGE doesn't need! He's supposed to TAKE CARE of enemies not let them walk all over him! To be honest, canon, is breeding a dyed in the wool, uncaring SERIAL KILLER! Uncompromising, and while he MAY (toss of a coin) feel bad later for his actions, it won't stop him from doing them, AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Considering naruto IS a vampire, werewolf and other, shouldn't staying in HUMAN form be taxing on his stamina, NOT being in monster form! THAT should be like RELAXING a muscle that you have to keep tense all the time! He's NOT a human mimicking monsters. (like a bloodline) he's a MONSTER mimicking human!

keeping the urge to fight under control? ROFL.. You mean the urge to pee his pants and run screaming, if the ENTIRE VILLAGE (including the fourth) couldn't really DO anything to the fox, then a lone interrogator has less chance then a snowball in hell! It wouldn't even be a moment of recognition to turn him into ASH! and there was NOTHING he could do to stop it! It would be like SEEING an IMMENSE MONSTER and knowing it WAS the devil you keep dancing around, one that could SWALLOW you whole and make you NOT EXIST and it wouldn't even notice as your existence blinked OUT! and there was NOTHING you could do about it! Very stupid to go in there. After all, Inochi, the villagers, sasuke, kiba, mizuki, the hokages and even orochi, THEIR ONLY HUMAN! Naruto and the kyuubi, ARE NOT! "if you prick us do we not bleed?" actually vamps, DON'T! Werewolves, you can't even pierce their skin! and demons? HAHAHA, there isn't anything humans have crafted that could even BRUISE them, let alone bleed.

It always amazes me how much fanfiction uses seals when THEY AREN'T USED IN CANON, because it's a DEAD ART, as in NOBODY USES THEM! (well except FOR EVERY SINGLE BAD GUY somehow!) But even here, just to get down the interrogation room... SEALS.. Now tell me, in cannon if seals were used on the prison, then how did the "IDIOT BROTHERS" escape and that worthless TRASH mizuki of ALL people?(seriously the dude was all mouth, no muscle.. between the THREE of them, they'd be HARD PRESSED to rub two brain cells together!)...So with ALL THESE seals that are in fanfiction, don't you THINK a few would be put on their PRISONS? And do you really think these mental midgets could REALLY overcome a seal that was even as complex as "turn knob to the right to open"? NO! So, NO SEALS were used, no seals are EVER used.

Throws up AGAIN? Didn't he ALREADY do that, when he found out he killed a few scum-bags? Sheez, what a WEAK STOMACH... Also I didn't think a vamp's body would LET them barf it up! He might dry-heave but the body is gonna HANG ONTO what was gotten. Unless considerable concentration is given on getting RID of it!

Personally, I'd think Minato would have built in safeguards AGAINST the yammanka and the sharringan (considering that was the VERY circumstances that brought about his death) into the seal. Having (BASICALLY) god as a BATTERY is a LOT of excess power to play around with! So you'd THINK that he would have made considerations so that THAT CRAP wouldn't happen AGAIN! (not to mention protecting his son, but that does seem secondary in his mindset).. BUT then again, like MORON father, like IDIOT son.

IF NOT, he'd he'd have to be SO SOLID, punching him would have so DENSE it would be like hitting a slab of concrete that what his height times his weight, EVERYONE in his class would break a hand!

By the time they graduate in canon, most would have to JUMP to hit him in the jaw!

I still don't GET "giant form".. vampires can become dragons that can engulf an entire city (village is less then a city), werewolves, could become get of fenris which eats Odin.. (god).. so bigger then a continent... so "giant form" seems kinda relative in that you know noting of the myths. even at 6' 4" at 8 he's still "puny".

Now let's take the other "golden boy", from stories, he doesn't NEED emotions to work his powers, he doesn't even need memories, his obsession is going to point him RIGHT back at konoha with a vengeance, that isn't justified, and if he dies, absolutely NOBODY gets hurt BUT him and he HAS NO POWER to "release"... Hmm...He's an angry, little RUNT that SHOULD have died and is being cared for by a hokage that can't GET OVER his advisors but also WON'T punish them!

If naruto decided to let kyuubi go as a BOMB, the fire country would cease to exist! MILLIONS dead... IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE... Innocent, guilty, EVERYONE.. Now tell me, would you really keep ANGERING THAT?

THAT is the "LORD OF DARKNESS".
