Hey guys~. It's been a while, hasn't it? Sorry for the huge hiatus, but I'm back now. And if this is your first time here, welcome! I hope you enjoy the story. I first wrote this during my summer break before my 8th grade year and now I'm a junior. Man, does time fly. Anyhow, I'm going to rewrite this story from the very beginning. I'm not going to create a completely new story, but as soon as this is uploaded, I will be taking down all the other chapters as I work on editing everything. There will be some minor changes and some major change. I hope that if you're a returning reader, that you don't mind the changes as I, personally, like this newer version much better. But don't worry, if you preferred the original version, just send me a significant amount of PM's and I'll bring back the original under the original name and write that as a separate (albeit a less updated) story. Don't expect regular updates as high school tends to throw curve balls at ya. XD. Enjoy.

Fiore, a neutral kingdom on the western peninsula on Earth land. It is a constitutional monarchy as the guilds and the royal family share power. It thrives as the center of magic as the Intercontinental Magic Council makes its headquarters there. The IMC ensures the safe and legal practice of magic all over the continent of Earth Land as the ruling body, of course this does not include the Dark guilds, a term used to describe illegal guilds along with the guilds who belong to the Balam Alliance, and the independent guilds, who recognize the IMC's authority, but refuses to join the league. There exists a third organization, consisted only of solo members, but theirs is an organization clouded in mystery. To such that they are generally left alone by both the legal and illegal guilds. Enough about that now, the story starts with a fateful meeting between Zeref and Natsu Abhorsen.

Zeref found himself walking down a path. It was a lovely pathway with tall, lush trees flanking both sides with shrubs and flowers growing in the space between. Pity that this was all susceptible to annihilation should he have one of his fits again. Zeref continued down this path to see where it would lead him. It was nice a peaceful, unlike the noisy city that he had left behind. Completely destroyed. He cringed. It was an accident; it's not like he wants to see the world in darkness. Yes, there are plenty of Darksiders who seek this, he wouldn't have to do anything either way. As he mused this, he was brought out of his thought when he heard shouting.

"Stop! Get away from me"

"Not until you give us what we want."

"We'll leave you alone as soon as you hand over that book"

"No! I refuse to hand this over to you."

Zeref wondered what was going on, and before he realized it, he was heading towards the noise. He peeked over the tall shrubs and was in time to see a tome vanish from a boy's hand as it disappeared into space. The boy was about seven years old with windswept black hair and violet eyes. He was a bit short and lithe in shape and he wore black trousers with a dark grey tunic. He had a cloak wrapped around him and he wore no shoes. Zeref observed as the treasure hunters started approaching the boy.

"We can either do this the easy way, or the hard way," the leader of the group stated.

The boy just stared at him and shrugged. "You're funeral."

"Why you little….. Twerp!, Fine. We'll take it from you by force,"

At this the hunter lunged towards the boy and Zeref got ready to jump in to help the boy. However, as soon as the hunter got close to the boy, he froze and stood rigid. Then to the amazement of Zeref and the horror of the other treasure hunters, the lone hunter started to writhe and twist, screaming in pain. Zeref looked closer and saw that the boy was touching the hunter who had lunged at him. Underneath the boy was a familiar magic circle. Death. As the hunter began to disintegrate right before the horror struck eyes of the other bounty hunters, Zeref pondered as he wondered, how did this boy have the curse of the lone walker.

Once the treasure hunter was completely disintegrated, the boy looked up and smirked at the other treasure hunters

"So, who's next?" he said with a menacing smile, which was completely out of place for a young kid like him.

"Like hell kid, Hades blazing flame shields!" The leader shouted as a trio of blazing shields appeared behind him, hovering in the air. He then yelled attack as he sent flame balls towards the boy. His lackeys summoned their own magic.

"Open, gate of the destroyer, Apollyon!"

"Open, gate of the demon, Asura!"

"Torrential Cannon!"

"Starburst Stream!"

The boy stood there as the magic attacks and the two summoned demons all approached him. Then calmly, as Zeref watched in amazement, he summoned two bells, a small bell and a larger one. He rung them in consort as he weaved a pattern. Even above the roar of the treasure hunters' magic, he heard the bells loud and clear. He heard a deep, low ring coupled with a sweeter, and lighter ring.

"Ranna, the silencer," as the boy said this all the spells were dispelled in an instant, leaving the treasure hunters and Zeref gaping in amazement.

"Saraneth, bind Apollyon and Asura to my will." As the boy continued to ring the bells, Apollyon and Asura froze in their tracks as they struggled to break free of Saraneth's call. Then they stopped moving, and stood still. "Release!" the boy called as the demons were forced back through their gates and back into the celestial world. At this, the two bells vanished, replaced with a larger, much menacing looking bell.

"Well, I did tell you guys to stop bothering me, so this is what you get." Then he started to ring the bell.

"No! we're sorry, we'll leave you alone, okay?"

"Yes, please, we'll just leave right now."

"We apologize for botheri…."

The bell made no sound as he rung it, but even Zeref could feel the bell's affect.

"Astarael, the Death bringer," the boy simply stated as he continued to ring it. The treasure hunters were rooted where they stood as they waited in morbid anticipation. Then they began to scream as they began to fade. The bell vanished from the boy's hand as the last vestiges of the treasure hunters faded to nothingness. Then the boy turned towards where Zeref was hiding.

"Hey, you can come out you know."

Zeref stood up and walked up to where the boy was standing. He towered over the boy. The child looked up to him and said, "Hi, my name is Natsu, Natsu Abhorsen, what's your name?" Despite what the boy, no Natsu had just showed in terms of power, he still had a childlike demeanor as he asked this question.

Zeref smiled and opened his mouth.

Natsu walked up the stairs leading to the doors which led to the headquarters of the notorious guild, Fairy Tail. He pushed open the double doors and stepped into chaos. There were men having a drinking contest over in a corner. There was a girl in armor viciously attacking an equally vicious takeover magic user. Over at the bar were several knocked out drinkers and he could see that there was another girl sitting at the counter. Drinking straight out of the barrel. Everywhere, fights were taking place as wizard after wizard joined the fray and many dropped out, unconscious. And out of nowhere as a pair of pants made it way from one side of the room to the other, "GRAY! Your pants!"

"I swear, that thing has a mind of its own!"

Natsu's eyes roamed all over the guild hall as he tried to find his objective. Then he saw him, the guild master, on the other side of the hall. When he made eye contact with, what was his name again? Ah, Makarov, Natsu started to trudge his way through the sea of chaos that was Fairy Tail. He wrapped his cloak around him tighter as he carefully avoided contact from anyone. He was almost run over several times as he made his journey to Makarov.

Makarov took a closer look at the boy as he and Gildartz ushered the boy away from the chaos and into his office. The boy looked about 12~13 years old and he had black, medium cut hair with piercing violet eyes. He had a long, grey coat with no right sleeve on with a belt with keys, celestial keys hung around it and a leather sash with pouches, seven to be exact, lining it. He had on an obsidian amulet and a golden armlet on his right arm. It seemed to be a coiling dragon, if Makarov's eyesight wasn't failing him. The last thing before the boy sat down on the sofa was that he was barefoot. Before Makarov even said anything, the boy talked first.

"I wish to join your guild." The boy said with a serious expression.

"But of course, we welcome anyone sans those who would harm us." Makarov replied with a warm smile.

"What's your name?" Gildartz asked, "And while you're at that, why don't you tell us a little about yourself."

"My name is Natsu Abhorsen and I am competent at quite a diverse range of magics, my main being celestial magic along with the Seven Bells of Charter." Natsu said quietly.

Makarov was a bit unsettled by the name Abhorsen, he had heard that name somewhere before but he could not remember where he had heard it before.

"Oh? Really? I didn't know that there were still people who practiced celestial magic. That could come in handy later, but I'm sorry to say that I've never heard of the Seven Bells of Charter, but it sounds interesting." Gildartz said.

"That's to be expected. Not a lot of people know that they are, I'll show you whenever the need arises, how about that?" Natsu said with a slight smile.

Gildartz smiled, "Sure, I'll take you up on that offer."

Makarov stood up and walked over to him holding a stamp, "Now, where would you like this, Natsu?"

Natsu pointed at the top of his right arm, "Right here, above the armlet."

Makarov stamped him and smiled, "Welcome to Fairy Tail Natsu. Now, let's go out and I'll introduce you to someone who can give you a quick tour of the guild,"

Makarov and Gildartz led Natsu back outside into the chaos. They took him over to one of the bars and introduced him to the bar tender.

"Hi! My name's Lisanna, are you new?"

"He just joined Fairy Tail today, so I was wondering if you could give him a rundown of the daily life of Fairy Tail." Makarov said.

Lisanna looked as though she was thinking hard. Then she brightened up and said, "Chaos!" as she laughed. Makarov and Gildartz laughed along with her as Natsu's stony face broke into another slight smile. Makarov couldn't help but notice an almost unnoticeable wince at the mention of Chaos. He ignored it and after saying bye to Natsu and Lisanna, made his way back to his office with Gildartz.

Lisanna took Natsu over to a table where a group of kids were seated.

"Hey guys! This is Natsu.." Lisanna looked at him expectantly.

"Abhorsen, Natsu Abhorsen," Natsu offered in his calm tone.

"Right! This is Natsu Abhorsen, he just joined our guild today!" Lisanna continued.

"Hi Natsu!" Mirajane said.

"Yo~" Gray exclaimed as he frantically searched for his shirt, it was just here, he could have sworn.

"Welcome to our guild Natsu," Erza said as she assessed him.

"Thank you," Natsu replied to them.

After Gray had found his shirt again, he marched up to Natsu. "I demand a magic duel!"

"Gray!" Lisanna chided.

"What? It'll be an interesting way to see what kind of magic he uses and he can see what kind of magic I use." Gray explained.

"Hmm, this does sound interesting," Erza said, "As long as he agrees."

They looked at Natsu and he nodded. "Sure."

"Yes!" Gray shouted. "Let's start! Ice-Make Hammer!" Gray yelled as he formed an ice hammer and threw it at Natsu. Everyone got out of the way and made a clear circle around them as people noticed the spectacle and stopped their own fighting to watch this duel.

Natsu simply dodged the attack and stared at Gray expectantly. Gray growled and said, "That was a handicap. Now dodge this! Ice-Make Lance!"

As the ice lance zoomed towards Natsu he raised a hand and whispered a barely discernable, "Aegis." A golden magic circle formed in front of Natsu's outstretched hand. Gray laughed and poured more magic into his spell. The lance hit the magic circle and stopped. Gray stopped laughing and started concentrating, putting force behind his attack to try to break this spell.

Makarov watched as he observed Natsu. He was calm and collected in his demeanor and showed no fatigue from keeping up his shield. Gray stopped his spell and Natsu dismissed his spell with a wave of his hand.

"Don't you know anything from escaping and defensive spells?! Ha! Gray yelled as he recovered from extended production of his Ice Lance. Erza laughed at him as she watched from the sidelines.

"What!?" Gray yelled at her.

"It's funny, how you think you can beat me if you can't even touch the newcomer!" Erza sad with a smirk.

"Why you~" Gray started

"Right? Ha, I bet you can't even beat him, much less me." Mirajane yelled with a sneer.

"I'll take all 3 of you on at the same time."

Silence.

"Wait, did he just say~"

"Yea, no way he can do that, I mean he can hold against Gray, but they're monsters"

"Right? I mean they already do tons of damage, imagine them grown up."

"Ha! You think you can take all three of us at once?" Mirajane exclaimed?

"Yes" was Natsu's answer.

"Okay then, don't blame us for the injuries you're about to receive." Erza said. "Re-equip. Battle Armor!"

"This'll be fun." Mirajane said, "Take over, fire demon"

"Close range, huh? Then Ice-Make Sword!" Gray shouted.

Then they proceeded to dive onto Natsu all at once. The entire guild began cheering and shouting, generally having a good time.

"Re-equip, seven league boots" Natsu said as a pair of plain leather boots with glyph marking on them appeared on his feet. Then he proceeded to dance. He wove through their attacks with ease, dodging attempts and occasionally tripping them or pushing them over. As the seconds went on Gray, Mirajane, and Erza became frustrated and they became more aggressive in their attacks.

Makarov observed Natsu's actions. Then it hit him, he was drawing an incredibly complex magic circle. Makarov smiled. Clever boy, drawing a circle while disguising it as a dance/dodging attempt.

Then Natsu released the seven league boots and stood at one end of the circle while the other three stood at the other end. They looked at each other, then yelling charged towards Natsu. Then he opened his mouth.

"Celestial Magic. Leo. Sagittarius. Aquarius. Aries. Capricorn. Scorpio. Taurus. Cancer. Gemini. Libra. Pieces. Virgo." Natsu began.

Everyone looked in fascination as the ground inside the circle began glowing, stopping the three attackers in their place as they stared in confusion. Then Natsu raised his right hand.

"Be judged by the twelve stars of heaven, Aether!" He calmly said, bringing his hand down as he invoked the spell. A sword made of light appeared above Mirajane, Gray, and Erza and then dropped at an incredible speed, making it impossible to dodge.

"Ice-Make shield!"

"Re-equip, Adamantine shield!"

"Take over, Giant skin!"

They tried to block the swords, but they passed right through their defenses and hit them dead on. A bright light ensued. When the light disappeared, someone screamed.

"Gray!"

When everyone was able to see again, they were horrified by what they saw. Mirajane and Erza were battered and bruised, but otherwise they were fine. However, they were kneeled beside a bleeding Gray. A Gray who wasn't breathing.

"Hey!"

"What the Fk!"

"Is… Is he really dead?!"

The guild became outraged and started yelling. Mirajane and Erza turned to glare at Natsu, who was staring at horror at Gray's body.

"I. I didn't mean to kill him." Natsu whispered.

Makarov stared in shock as he saw what happened. Gray hadn't been able to complete his shield against Natsu's attack before it hit, and it had just killed him. What kind of magic was this that it had the ability to kill? Makarov now began to regret letting Natsu join.

Natsu stepped forward in the midst of all the shouting and screaming.

"Re-equip, Walker's robes." Mirajane and Erza glared at him, wondering what he was doing.

Natsu stepped forward one more time and stopped. He was wearing a deep blue silk tunic with engravings embroidered all over the robe. Everyone stopped talking and began whispering while sending him glares and looks of horror. Natsu then reached into one of the pouches on his sash and opened the second one. He took out a bell.

Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. What was doing with a bell? Lisanna was crying next to Gray's body while Mirajane comforted her while glaring at Natsu. Erza stood there, still, daring Natsu to continue what he was doing. Then Natsu rang the bell.

Makarov observed what was happening in the hall with Gildartz besides him. Natsu had taken out a bell, a bell he assumed was one of the Seven Bells of Charter which he had mentioned earlier. Natsu held it out in front of him and rang it in a slow motion. At the first ring, everyone clasped their ears as an incredibly loud sound sounded. Natsu continued this for six times with everyone cringing as the bell grew louder and louder with each successive ring. Then on the seventh ring he turned the bell upside down and rung it while whispering, "Mosrael, I call for Gray Fullbuster" As soon as he had finished speaking Gray breathed. Everyone froze and started at Gray. He began to cough and continued breathing. The blood that had been around him had vanished and Gray seemed to be fine, even his bruises were gone. Lisanna and Mirajane helped Gray sit up while everyone crowded around him to see for themselves that he was truly alive. Makarov and Gildartz stared in wonder as they could not believe their eyes. Magic which could bring back the dead? They had never heard of such things before. And yet, right before their eyes, Natsu had brought someone back from the dead.

Everyone turned their heads as they heard the door open. Natsu stood there with his regular clothes on again. He turned his head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I'll go find somewhere to stay until I take a request." Natsu whispered before he turned around and left the guild hall, and for the second time in Fairy Tail history, the guild hall was silent.
