Hi!

I've decided to post on here just what I've been doing lately. Update are really slow since after getting a full time job and having a part time one doesn't leave as much time as I would like for writing.

First up:

A Different Friend - This story is the very first Fanfic I've ever written and has a very important place in my heart. So one thing about it is that no matter how long it's been since the last update, I'll never abandon this story. That said, this story is about a question I asked myself "How would Sakura change if Ino wasn't her first friend. What if she had a 'different friend'? I didn't start this story with a plot in mind it was really just some scene ideas at first, then writer's block, and now I actually have an idea of where I'm going with it.

There are some OC's and while they will be popping up quite a lot, I don't plan on any of them being main characters. I do love all my OCs though.

Why Kiba? Well I love dogs and he just happened to have one tough as nails mom and a pretty cool older sister that I thought would be a good influence on Sakura.

My biggest issue with Sakura, in canon, is that every time it looked like she was going to grow and change and be a kick ass Kunoichi, she didn't. I like her but she would have a cool moment or fight and afterwards didn't change much. I kept feeling like for every step forward she took one back. So some of my favorite stories star a Sakura that actually matures and grows and kicks butt. I can only hope that people will like where I take her in this story of mine.

Current status - Chapter 12 is up. Working on 13.

Curiosity and Satisfaction - This is my third Fanfic and is being re-written. I got the idea after seeing Tsuna's dad make a decision that I really didn't like, I won't say what that is on here yet because the story hasn't gotten there and I don't want to spoil it. Anyway, I will tell my reason for making my OC Rin the way she is. I was trying to think about how another character might get drawn into Tsuna's group and I found that putting someone that is really curious in the story would be a good way of doing that. I also wanted to have her be reincarnated into the story after I had a weird dream that was like the beginning of my old version. Rin herself isn't based completely on myself but as I was working out the plot I would have her react in ways that I myself would. So I decided to make her a Semi self insert, Rin has some of my characteristics but I've also given her others.

Current status - Being re-written. New Prologue is up and the new chapter one will be posted over the weekend.

The Free Bird - Sigh, this is the second Fanfic I've started and I actually had a good portion of plot worked out. The problem though is that I can't write Killer B. I can't write rap all the time and I planned on him being a main character. The Idea was that a reincarnated girl recovers her old memories after a very bad hit to the head. Waking up and realizing that she's a branch member of the Hyuuga clan and will be given the Caged Bird Seal when she is Older, Suzu (the OC) freaks out and starts trying to come up with ways to run away, which is a hard thing to do while living with a clan that is 'All Seeing'. Then she gets an idea when she finds out that Neji's father is alive and that the attempted kidnapping of Hinata hasn't happened yet. Suzu would then get in the way and stop the kidnapping attempt before the Kumo ninja even got to the main house and offer to go with the Kumo ninja instead. Since Hinata's dad would never be alerted, because Hinata would stay safe and sound, Suzu and the Kumo ninja would actually make it a good bit away from Konoha before anyone came after them. I planned on a battle and having Suzu fall into rushing water and ending up lost in the Valley of Clouds and Lightning which is the name of the place Killer B trains. That was the idea I had. But I can't write Killer B well for long periods of time and I had planned on him being a main character and teacher to Suzu. I like Killer B and think he'd be an interesting character.

The Idea - The Free Bird came about because I really really REALLY don't like the Hyuuga clan since they use the Caged Bird Seal and after finishing the series I couldn't find any mention of that practice ever ending. I mean did Naruto and Hinata just not care any more since Neji was dead and they weren't close to the other branch members? If I'm wrong feel free to correct me, I may have missed something and I haven't watched the Naruto movies.

Anyway The Free Bird won't be continued. I'm leaving the chapter I posted up but I won't be finishing it. That said if anyone else wants to write a story with an OC Hyuuga that runs away from Konoha feel free to do so. In fact PLEASE do that, I'd love to read it. So any writers that want to take the idea and run with it, in the same direction or a different one DO IT and then send me the link so I can read it!!!!!! :3

Finally:

Now, I have one story that has not been posted and it's kind of a weird project of mine. I made different lists.

One of Konoha clans which I also wrote clanless on. I then used a randomizer and selected the number one selection.

Then I did a list of the selected clans/clanless noted hair, eye, etc colors and gender. Again picking the top answer.

Once I did that I used the Mega Anime Avatar Creator at Rinmaru games to get a visual on how the character would look.

Lastly I did a list of some common fanfic places that you find Reincarnated OC's being born and picked the top answer.

This was all done because I wanted to write a Naruto OC story but was having trouble deciding what to write. I've now got a plot, I've starting writing and I'm really REALLY excited about it. I'm waiting to post anything until I've written a few chapters but I've got a good feeling about it and even have a title for it 'Arisa No Name' I'm not sure if that will be the title I stick with but for now I can't see myself changing it. I hope to start posting chapters for it in November!

Sadly I have no beta. Honestly I could use an editor because I know my writing needs work. Every so often I re-read my stories and always seem to find something to edit on them. I just hope that no one that likes my stories minds too much, it is something I work on.

I want to end this with a Thank You to everyone who reads my stories. I keep every email I get when someone favorites or follows my stories and the emails that contain the reviews. My email has a folder for each of my stories and when I feel down or frustrated with a story I go back and read each review (even the really small ones!) they make me happy and I'll confess I've been caught doing a happy dance now and then when I read certain reviews.

I'd like to say I write for myself but I already have the stories in my head, where I can imagine and think and dream about them to my hearts content. No I write because I like to share those ideas, those random snippets of dreams that get shoved in my stories. I like it when someone reads my work and finds that they like it. Storytelling isn't about the writer it's about their audience and their enjoyment. So my favorite part about reviews isn't the review count I have on my stories, it's hearing if that person enjoyed my story or not. If they so, then I did a good job.
