Reviews for Mr Bennet's Favours
Guest chapter 24 . 7/15
Was Mrs Bennet in the carpet?

Loved this to. Well written and some good arcs for characters usually overlooked!
J. W. Garrett chapter 23 . 7/4
Ch 23: Goodness... my stomach hurts, my heart hurts. This was brutal. At least Mrs. Bennet was willing to hear them out and now sees her girls for who they really are.
J. W. Garrett chapter 22 . 7/4
Lovely, but where is Lydia? Didn't they say there was sickness at the school and those students who weren't sick were sent home? I must have missed it.
aidni chapter 6 . 6/23
this is really good! as constructive crit can i suggest using word other than 'said' when a character speaks?

libaka chapter 24 . 6/4
I’m confused by why old Mr Darcy questioned Elizabeth so much before the wedding. He knows her, knows her father, and I’m not sure why he acted the way he did. Sad for the girls regarding Mrs Bennet. Otherwise, lovely story with great character growth!
DimmDimms chapter 2 . 6/3
I love stories where Mr Bennet and Mr Darcy Senior know each other. And though I have no dislike for Jane I enjoy reading stories where Elizabeth gravitates to some of her other sisters. I’m enjoying this very much!
Wolfjackle chapter 24 . 6/2
I love this chapter. Absolutely perfect. Mrs. Bennet was dealt with perfectly. I wish I could say I was surprised by her lying in her letters. But I'm glad her daughters aren't putting up with that BS.

And Catherine gets her coming out ball. And Elizabeth and Darcy are going to have a baby!

Thanks for sharing this story! It's been a fun ride!
Cullen-21-gladys chapter 24 . 6/1
I love it.
Lucille12 chapter 24 . 5/31
Thoroughly enjoyed this story! Unique setup with the fathers being friends and how the families interacted with each other. Thank you for writing and for sharing!
mangosmum chapter 24 . 5/30
I love this story. I'm still laughing at the carpet making a squawk. It's obviously an attempt by Mrs Bennet to sneak in. But I don't understand the candle and piece of cheese going missing. I actually thought it was Mrs Bennet hiding in one of the bed chambers! Thanks for sharing this story with us.
Guest chapter 24 . 5/28
Charming story. Thank you for your effort.
Joan G. Brand chapter 24 . 5/28
A somewhat bittersweet ending! For all the tears that Mrs. Bennet shed in Chapter 23, she could not live up to the expectations that she set for herself. Instead of having Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Collins help her to write the truth instead of lies. The sisters had so much hope but finally realized that their mother was not going to put in the work required to bond with her daughters and form a loving relationship. Trying to get back in via a carpet was simply too much! Elizabeth took the right step in banning Mrs. Bennet from her home.

At least Elizabeth and Darcy end their saga with the knowledge that they will become a family soon. Catherine is finally able to move on from the neglect that she received from her mother as a baby and throughout most of her life. Lady Catherine was an excellent sponsor to a practically mothereless child. What a different version of her!
