I keep thinking about Zuko's reaction when he meets up with Aang, I'm imaging him thinking who Claire is now he knows she couldn't be one of his decedent. I see that your laying a foundation on Zuko's redemption arc, showing what the fire nation has done to a entire culture with Claire by his side as an example.

Just rereading and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this. Hope you are able to update as it’s quite fun.

Once again, I love how fleshed our your chapters are. Sounds strange, but they remind me of Samurai Jack. I saw a video once that discussed that show and commented on the pacing. The show was simple and did not rush things, instead choosing to take its time for you to appreciate the beauty in each episode. You are taking your time for us to experience things as Claire experiences them. This feels slow, but only when you look at this story from an audience perspective. When I get into the characters’ heads, especially Claire’s, it makes me appreciate the little things that you add, such as Claire’s fear of going down the mountain. I really do like this story. Please continue it.

I am glad that the plot is moving with Claire getting off the mountain. As nice as it would be for her to learn from the Air Nomads some more, regular human contact is needed. Even if winter doesn’t arrive, waiting another year for the Gaang to come would just drive poor Claire crazy. Speaking of human interactions, Claire and Iroh’s has to be my favorite. They seem like Grandfather and Granddaughter. I guess the only thing I didn’t like was that we didn’t get to see more of Claire practicing her Airbending. I think that after a year, she should be at least at a moderate level, considering that Katara also only had a scroll to learn from for most of Book 1. Still, this story is going well.

Hopefully Claire can learn from those scrolls more on Airbending. Iroh and Zuko seem to be in character. Very good job on that. Also, Claire's reactions are natural.

I like that you are subverting different tropes (I too am a tvtropes reader). I admit, I was hoping to see Aang and the Gaang, but Zuko and Iroh were a pleasant surprise. Not for Claire, she has the right to run from this past Zuko. I have a theory that Claire has taken the place of the next Avatar since she is officially the last Airbender that we see, but I will wait to see what you have in mind. Please continue this story, it is very good so far.

You know what, Claire felt very real. Not that she acted how I would act, but she acted how a normal human would act. I like that she didn't desecrate the Fire Nation corses and the fact that she regularly interacts with the lemurs. I am going to try to write a review for the other chapters when I read them, but this is very good so far. The chapter felt fleshed out too.

This story has an affinity for going at it's own pace - it's such a wonderful strength, and I wish more stories had this sort of care and direction, I do hope you return to write more, because this scenario is already looking juicy and fascinating

I have enjoyed this a lot more than I probably should have... Honest to god LOVE this! I'm super disappointed that this hasn't been updated in over a year, but I don't regret reading it at all! I hope that you find your way back to this story one day and continue it. I would love to see how far the butterfly effect Claire has on this universe.
