alexandrathorn chapter 4 . 7/21 sobbing so many tears rn |
mmacdonald22 chapter 1 . 6/25 Hope you find time to update the story! It’s very interesting |
mmacdonald22 chapter 22 . 6/25 I love this story! I’m a bit confused though. Will Aegon take the throne because he is older? And is it even really Aegon or just a Blackfyre bastard masquerading as him? Does Daenerys want to wed Jon because he is a true dragon? |
denolotdn chapter 22 . 6/22 Really love this story, an interesting what-if AU. Hope you keep updating; I really want to see how you plan on this situation developing. |
StarSerpent chapter 22 . 6/6 I know you mentioned a few CHs ago that pairings aren’t decided yet, but I can’t see how Jon/Marge won’t be one of them (assuming he’s set on becoming Crown Prince, which seems to be the case). Barring dragon-fueled-asspulls, Jon is going to need one of the Southern Great Houses tied to him. That means a marriage, and only the Reach is viable as an option. 1. The West is a no-go, due to Lannisters. 2. Stormlands doesn’t have a viable candidate besides Shireen, and she’s not explicitly stated as Renly’s heir (assuming Stannis was still passed over on LP of Stormlands in this AU). 3. Vale has no dominant Great House, with Arryn dethroned. Even if they get their civil war sorted out, the future Vale LP will be weakened by war already. 4. Dorne has Arianne Martell, I suppose, but she’s both heir to Dorne and provides less swords than the Tyrells. 5. Riverlands is the iffiest of the kingdoms, and House Tully has no girls of similar age anyway. Jon/Dany would only happen if she brings dragons in, otherwise he’s ensuring the Reach will be hostile. The other option would be Jon/OC from one of the major Reach houses, but I can’t see why that’d be better than ties to Martell or Tyrell. Aside from that, super-pumped to see this get updated. |
Stephanus Mattheus chapter 22 . 6/6 Well, the game is well and truly afoot. |
KngZawd chapter 1 . 6/4 There’s adds in the middle of stories now? Damn sucks. Post this in A03. |
arashishizen chapter 22 . 5/27 Beautifully written, just wish there was more. |
Dominic-G chapter 22 . 5/12 YO this chapter was everything I had hoped to see from Jon's pov, to see how he's adapting! Its is SO refreshing to see him not some flounding fish incapable of adapting. Book Jon is intelligent and ruthlessly brutal when called for, not to mention his feats when the rage is on him. Like I said very refreshing, thanks for the chapter! |
TheDonMic chapter 22 . 5/6 I really like the direction this is going in, with Jon (for once) deciding to embrace the game instead of staying ignorant and honorable to a fault. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of honor and how important it is to the Starks, but in a place like King’s Lansing, surrounded by enemies masquerading as friends, all honor does is cut your life expectancy in half, oftentimes much shorter. Also, I appreciate you not going all in on ships so soon, as I’m glad you’re allowing your characters to grow on their own as the story progresses instead of attempting to force their characters into relationships just for the sake of the relationship. It’s good to see Robb and Jon both staying focused on the task at hand with renewed senses of duty and desire, as I feel the introductions of ships too soon would hurt this progress. And while yes, book/show Robb and Jon both got with people around this point (Talisa and Ygritte), their characters in this story have already diverged so much form their book/show counterparts that their current lack of relationships makes sense. Finally, I’m very interested in seeing more about Jon’s current mental state. From some of the things stated in the chapter, it sometimes seems as though Jon wants to burn everyone and everything down and just head home, while at other times he seems to welcome his role as heir and desires to make a better kingdom. Also, his thoughts on Barristan’s loyalty are interesting, as well as his thoughts on both Tyrion and Varys throughout the chapter, as he seems to both appreciate them and distrust them at the same time, something that I’m glad to see Jon do. I mean, even though I love the characters of Tyrion and Varys, it’s good to see Jon be conflicted about them as he starts to play the game, deciding who he can and can’t trust. Overall, this is a really great chapter, and I can’t wait for more from you! Keep up the great work! |
FigurativelyDying chapter 22 . 5/6 I loved Jon's pov this chapter, interesting to see how he interacts further with Margaery. |
Bella-swan11 chapter 22 . 5/6 Beauty is not everything Jon and Margaery is proof of this, now you are a prince but in reality you have always been a king since you were born; Now you are learning what this means and you know that you will not lose what you have without fighting. Because Robert may believe that you are going to give up your legacy of the Targaryen house, that will never happen now that you hear the stories of your true father Rhaegar Targaryen that being Barristan will tell you; You will feel proud that your Rhaegar wanted to change things to improve the quality of life of the poorest people. Now you will understand that you never looked like Ned Stark, you have always looked like Rhaegar and you are happy about it; Because if you look like the silver prince that the people do not forget after so many years for his good deeds, you can feel proud to be his son. Varys here in front is the king you expected after so many years, Jon is the king that kingdoms must have; you must expose the false Aegon so that he does not hinder Jon's rise. It was true that it was your plan, but you must remedy that plot, you must write a letter to Lord Stark and the Princes Martell telling him the truth; Because this fake Aegon may try to steal Jon's throne. Being Barristan you know that Jon looks more and more like his father, it is normal that he begins to have followers of his beauty, it was the same for Rhaegar; the poor man is getting bored because you don't advise him to learn to play the harp. |
Zexs chapter 22 . 5/6 Margaery and Jon could work amazingly together. They would cover each others blind spots and smooth over the areas where the other comes off as abrasive. Or they self destruct horribly in the usual GOT fashion |
Kira007Goddess of Chaos chapter 22 . 5/6 Jony boy is playing the game. And is becoming a professional gamer! I like Margaery and she and Jon will make a great couple. Your story is awesome and I love it! |
