Is this story dead? I hope not we are starting to get into the clan and village politics and I really wanna see how it plays out. Will the story be updated soon? If so when's the next chapter coming out?

I love baby kakashi, this fic is gold

I really enjoy the MC, but I feel like she should be striving for more of a middle ground sooner rather than later. I mean to say that she waffles far to much to be entertaining, and yet for someone whose supposed to be in the know she gets taken by surprise far, far to often. Her confidence gets pumped up and then subsquently shattered far to often for there to be any real development, and her constant babbling and worry just becomes... grating after a while.

Once she got her Mangekyo Sharingan I was waiting for her to finally find her balls and realize that whining and crying about every little thing isn't going to help her... but she disappoints over and over and over again. She isn't a child- she's a grown adult woman, not a child and the fact that she approaches her problems like one is... also disappointing.

I also believe that if this should be revised the whole "Soul Transference Department" deal should be nixed entirely- if this was a crack or semi-crack I could understand it, but you've done this story up to damn well to break the 4th-ish wall and my suspension of disbelief. MC can be snarky in her head- "Uchiha Blah" and "Uchiha Ufffnnn" is all well and good, but to have some random dude pull her soul and say "Whoops, you died. Here, stay in the Naruto world as an apology" just doesn't fit the tone that shist story sets.

I mean to say that you've done an excellent job in building up the pre/post Second Shinobi World War, building up characters like Sakumo and his usually-dead-by-this-point-wife to MC's relationship with Obito and Kakashi and the Ame Orphans... but honestly the weakest link in all of this is the MC herself. She's a reactive character- things happen to her and she just follows along or keeps silent... letting tons of opportunities pass her by. She's all talk and no substance despite being given the best tools that could be available beside the Rinnegan itself.

That and the imminent death thing of "You've got till you are 32 years old to make this happen" time limit is arbitrary and frankly... unusual? It would make sense if this was the motivation for her to actually BE a genius considering she's got a tight schedule and all, but on top of that her Mangekyo is just... useless. She's only got so much time, and yet every time she activates it she's losing even MORE time? I could understand the drawback of foreign chakra being disruptive and putting her in the hospital but killing her in proportion to the amount she steals? It doesn't make for a fun read to see that. Of course no one likes an OP get out of jail free card, but it seems counter intuitive...

Unless she and Orochimaru devise a way to create a storage seal that seals away that lifeforce energy so that it can be eventually converted into life-force for her to use to counteract the short lifespan she already has. This would be a great lever to explore considering Orochimaru is a snakey bastard and that makes her dependent on him and his illicit research as long as she keeps a few degrees of separation... and it requires her to kill him because he'd just try to blackmail her with it.

Honestly, it seems like I'm pretty hard on this story, but I actually love it! Just the MC seriously needs to shape up because this is just getting ridiculous. lol

UHHHHHH Orochimaru did NOT come to play. He means some business lol. Poor Etsuko, she can't catch an effing break. This poor girl, since her literal birth she has been able to relax probably four times, and every time she does either someone dies or something awful happens.

This is a fantastic story though! I adore Etsuko so much, she is such an interesting character. She has not some inherent flaws and issues to be sure, but she is genuine and doing her best in this insane new life. She isn't perfect, which makes her much more likable in my opinion. I really love that she thinks she is sneaky stealthy about sensitive things and her emotions and then all the adults are like "you are literally five, I can tell you are up to something", specifically Sakumo.

WHO IS WONDERFUL, BTW. His relationship with Etsuko is so effing cute, and I'm so in love with the idea of Sayu and Sakumo officially adopting Obito and Etsuko. I know Kakashi sees them as siblings no matter what, but having it official would be lit.

Also you have me in constant fear that Sayu will go out on a mission and not come back, or that Sakumo's suicide is still a possibility lurking around the corner. MY HEART COULD NOT HANDLE IT.

Also also, I initially was low-key hoping Kakashi and Etsuko would be a thing (in like 20 years obviously, omg they are bebe's) but now with the sibling vibes that would be probably scary lol. I got some potential Nagato vibes though perhaps? Which is woah.

Also also also, I swear I'm not trying to set this toddler up with anyone (just laying out random thoughts and observations and Bureau Guy said she would only live to be thirty something, which actually makes me so sad) and I know that her primary concern is so far from romantic relationships it is crazy. I just keep having trouble remembering she is FIVE at some points because she is so mentally and emotionally mature in a lot of way, so it is like reading the thoughts of an adult character. I keep aging her up in my head until something about her being itty bitty reminds me lol.

I can't possibly cover all of my thoughts in this review or I'll be up all night, but just know how excellent I think this is! The characters are well written and interesting to read, and the plot itself is so refreshing to me. I have never found a story that went this far back in the timeline to change the outcome, so when it was first revealed that the little brother was not in fact Itachi (as I initially thought even though the mom and dad were different people, lol what a dum dum I am), but OBITO. Omg, genius. So brilliantly done and wonderfully written! I grieve every time Etsuko loses a challenge against the timeline, and for everyone she has tried and failed to save thus far.

I hope that she keeps trying and realizes the good she is doing. I hope she can save more people. If her influence keeps on as it is, Obito never "dies", Kakashi has a family, there is no Akatsuki and no Sasori to join it, among many other things. Maybe with her as his student, Orochimaru will never defect. The path she is forging for this world is new and she has no idea what is coming next. Neither do I, but I hope you update soon so we can find out :) Wonderful job!

Thanks for this lovely story! Looking forward to more protective-big-sister action from Etsuko! Too bad she didn't get taught by Sakumo...I mean...It's FREAKIN HATAKE SAKUMO afterall! Can't wait for the next chapter! :)

I just hope this doesn't turn into a story where the main character is always mentioning how she's getting beaten and her teammates are so muc better, she'll never have a chance against this other person ...and so on and on and on and on. Like obviously she can't be good at everything so soon but its mentioned several times that she trains often and training often should lead to results and a lot of the time authors will do this very thing but the MC never gets better. You dont want an OP character, I get it, but reading the about the MC not improving for 60000k is really just as annoyed as an OP character, in fact it's more annoying becuase hard work should lead to somewhere

Why does everyone to ever get reincarnated into Naruto have such aversion to physical exercise? Like, logically, you're a kid man, you have all the energy in the world, kids bounce back from most things pretty quickly as well.

Gotta say, I was disappointed the Etsuko is no longer engaged to Shikaku. I know she's like 5 still, but they wouldn't be married till later anyway. Was very much hoping she'd interrupt the old codgers lol

Super sad Sakumo didn't get the apprenticeship! Like, Etsuko, speak the eff up! Omg! She's so much in her head all the time I want to snack her and say love un the now! Stop thinking so much! Lol I'm not much better actually.

I'm feeling some sorta way about the progression so far, and I'm not sure how to pin down the feeling. It's almost equal parts too fast and too slow, but I'm not sure that's accurate either because so much has happened.

I really hope you put Etsuko through some sort of self control training. I have a really hard time believing Yashiro would accept her jumping at noises like she does, her extreme outburtsts, her babbling, etc. There's no way Mr. Proper Uchiha would let that slide. Setting aside how it makes Uchihas look, all three of those are TERRIBLE habits for a ninja.

I was wondering if she'd get it into her head that just because she hadn't succeeded in saving her parents AS A THREE YEAR OLD that she could still save other people.
I mean, her ability to effect change, to me, is as simple as her realizing she could straight up kill Shikaku. That'd fuck everything. Just because she hasn't saved everyone she wanted to means nothing.

Uh. Etsuko, don't be a fucking moron. Take Obito, go to the Hokage, and say you refuse to live with Yashiro. If he doesn't move you, kill Yashiro in his sleep.
You don't let Obito grow up in that environment.
