Also I'm so curious if she runs into other Turks, plus it would be interesting if Shinra got really interested in her inventions in the future. Man so many ways to spin this, I'm so curious to see what you do.

Had to reread everything to remember what was happening and fell in love with this all over again! I love your attention to detail with the world and all the little ways you've changed Nibelheim. I'm also loving the fact that Cloud and Cassie have no idea the other is aware of the game's events and hope it continues and leads to lots of confusion!

looking foreword to pat one. You did a prety good job so far. Two questions i have to ask now though. 1. Is cassie going to make and publish her own alchemy book? 2. For a ship how about pairing her with vincent?

Reno is a psychopath who cracks jokes while committing mass murder on thousands of helpless civilians. In the remake they make him feel guilty, but in the original he thought dropping the plate was funny. The turks in FF7 were not sympathetic in the least (except for Vincent).

Sephiroth has the excuse of a predatory sanity-shattering alien messing with his head at least. Read "The Jenova Thesis/FAQ" to gain a better understanding of him.

Though I agree about her becoming a monster hunter.

Heyo, finally here to write a review after messing around long enough (ADHD keeps sidetracking me with other stuff), and I just gotta say, I really love this fic. Back when I first found it, it certainly caught me by surprise with the summary and I JUST HAD to read it.

And I really don't regret it. And I get that feeling of listening to a song while just writing a chapter (personally, I had Ashes of Dreams from Nier on loop doing that). And that ending to this arc just...YEAH.

I'm really proud of the progress you've made, managing to stay on track too, with the gaps of updates in between (I know how hard it can be at times). And just, everything you worked on with Castalia...it's amazing!

I love her so much, and what she's done. That part with Tifa blowing up on her hurt me good, in a way that I KNOW my rejection sensitive dysphoria would've kicked in like...yeah, they're just words, BUT THOSE WORDS CAN HURT.

I also love how Vincent is in this story, the way he also developed and the contrast Cloud has with him, like...it's understandable. And speaking of Cloud, I just...love him. Fabulous hair, too. Chocobos are amazing, okay.

And then there's the little blurbs here and there, with Cid and Reeve (I AGREE, HE'S HOT, LIKE DAMN). You did a good job, from one SI writer to another.

Every time I get a notification in my inbox that this fic has updated, it REALLY makes me happy, and I'm glad you managed to get out two chapters in a month. I know I've been updating crazy, but I KNOW how hard it can be to sometimes get more than one update within a month. I GET it.

So here I am, saying that I can't wait to see where Castalia goes from here, as I send off Sera on her next arc. It's really great seeing other people getting interested in VII again (especially with my friends writing their own VII SI fics as well), thanks to Remake. And I hope everything goes well.

Gotta say, was surprised to find out you also live in southern cali, so ayyyy. Here's to staying safe during this quarantine! Good luck with writing your next chapter! :D

I have a story that the whole nickname conversation reminded me of.

In college, knew basically nobody and then during some dorm event thing I come across some really great people that I ended up becoming friends with. But one of them asked my name and I said “I’m Amy” and then she asked “what’s your nickname?” And I was like “...Amy” and I figured that they would understand that Amy was my nickname and not my real name because if my real name /was/ Amy, then I would have said ‘I don’t have a nickname.’ But apparently not, when she went to friend me on Facebook and saw my name was Amanda she jokingly made a big deal of it and my nickname in one of our messenger group chats is FAKE AMANDA.

That’s just what it reminded me of.

Great story, and a really interesting concept too- can’t wait to see what happens next.
