hermeek2018 chapter 33 . 11h This is epic. Everything I want from bamf Hermione with all the best bits of asoiaf backdrop, not repetitive on storyline and good character development. Desperate for new chapters but well understand the PhD pressure (barely managed mine while reading fanfic let alone writing it!), let me know if you need a beta or moral support to continue this incredible story! Thank you |

mmacdonald22 chapter 33 . 7/8 I love this fanfic. I find it very interesting and unique. I have a question though. Did Stannis and the red witch die? I feel like they did, but it wasn’t explicit. I hope you have time to update soon. I wonder who will take the iron thron. Daenerys, Jon or even Gendry? |
lilyflower477 chapter 33 . 6/30 I absolutely love your story! Can't wait for more! |
lancella1 chapter 30 . 6/25 Ohhhh...This is the chapter I have been waiting for the entire time! Robb annoucing his intentions to Hermione and she didn't see it coming! Robb said he would give up kingship of the North to be with Hermione in her world? Woah! Starks are all about duty and honor plus he has just fought a giant war for Northern independence….Hermione is potentially stealing a beloved King away from his people. I do not think the Northern court is anywhere as bad as King’s Landing in terms of spies. There is not anyone listening to the conversation in the walls. If what Robb said got out though….that would be a political firestorm. If any of the guards or servants hear them talking about it… As much as the Northerners love Hermione, I do not know how they would respond to her leaving with Robb. I think they would be sad but understand her leaving to her homeland but add Hermione taking Robb with her…or Robb wanting not to be King of the North anymore for true love…. Robb did marry Talisa in the show for love when it was crazy to do so. It lost him his kingdom. Robb has it in him canon wise to pick true love with Hermione over kingship. And…I do not know how Hermione would respond to that. She might worry Robb’s feelings could change in a few years and then he is stuck on Earth as a muggle boyfriend and could not return to Westeros to be king of his people. It is hard being the muggle partner of a witch in Britain and he could not even relate to the muggle world. It is likewise hard for Hermione to lose contact with her British friends and wizarding/muggle society to be a Queen with all the expectations that entails. This is set up to be so emotional and difficult for both. The “easiest” solution for Hermione (with Hermione thinking they were just starting to casually date but Robb thinking they are betrothed with that cloak) would be to pretend everything is going well in their relationship/hold off her coronation as Queen or marriage to Robb with excuses (wait until the war is won)…and then disappear/have a false death in the final battle. She has saved the realm, Robb can marry a traditional choice for Queen from Westeros, and Hermione can return to the “normal” world of wizarding Britain. Hermione did wipe her parent’s memory and sent them to new lives in Australia without consulting them, so doing something like that to family she loved would be canon for her. Robb would chase her down if he thought her alive, but dead in the final battle with a replica false body to mourn/place in the crypts…. Robb is smart, though, and might figure this out/track her down on Earth to discuss their relationship. :-) For example, Hermione just so happens to have all the loose ends in her life in Westeros tied up and her death was a little too neat to be real. I do think they can work out a relationship that fits all their needs, but love is never easy and talking about love is doubly hard. |
Faeriniel chapter 19 . 6/12 The Mountain fight is deeply frustrating. The way you had Hermione fight was contrived purely to facilitate Cleganebowl... when a single Petrificus Totalus would have ended it, and referenced a moment from Hermione's own past. It's made all the worse by Hermione threatening to transfigure Torrhen into a ferret in the same chapter. You could preserved the brothers clash by having Hermione transfigure The Mountain into a small yappy dog and give it to The Hound as a gift. I rant about this, because the Fic is otherwise fantastic! I hope you're deeply proud of what you've created and I look forward to finishing it. |
Guest chapter 25 . 6/9 One bit of nitpicking, which might not even be applicable. There have been a few instances where one person will speak and in the same line or paragraph, someone else will answer/speak. It's caused some confusion, because a new speaker merits a new paragraph every time. That said, I also wouldn't be surprised if this site did some weird spacing shenanigans, like it does sometimes. So, carry on. |
Guest chapter 23 . 6/9 So, that mirror is still helpful, but part of me feels like it might still have saved Sansa a lot of angst if it were a portkey instead. Note to self: don't kill off your sources of intelligence until after you've collected everying you're after. I get it, Hermione hasn't really had quality "down time" in a while. And by down time, I mean she hasn't had the chance to sit and read or reading's sake itself. No wonder she's got gaps in her plans. I feel really bad for Olyvar. He gets shafted by his family, and there doesn't even seem to be hope for his repatriation after the war, whenever that may be. It sucks, because he and Roslin could have maybe gotten a fresh start together. Instead, she's entombed with all the rest of that horrible family in the place she specifically didn't want to be, and Olyvar gets to deliver a head and then... do whatever, I guess. |
