Author has written 65 stories for Fairy Tail, Bleach, Kuroshitsuji, and Shokugeki no Soma/食戟のソーマ. I'd like to take a minute to give a huge shout-out to my Triplet sisters in prose, Leoslady4ever and LittlePrincessNana. It's a wonderful and heady experience to find another person with the same interests and even background as yourself, and that is only intensified when they also follow right along with your own thoughts! These two magnificent ladies have been a huge inspiration for me, from late-night brainstorming to hilariously belly-bursting conversations. They've helped me to really put more oomph into my writing, and have soothed any fears I've had about the direction a piece is taking. Her Phantom is now officially dedicated to my Triplets, because without them it wouldn't be nearly as wonderful as it is! I've broken down and made a Tumblr account... GemNika's Tumblr (gemnika . tumblr . com) Now I'll be able to give you guys updates on random things and such. While also figuring out just what in the actual motherfuck Tumblr is for... Sometimes I feel ancient... Also, for those of you that aren't doing Tumblr, I've made a Facebook page. You can find that here: GemNika's Facebook (gemnika . facebook . com) Important Notice to Readers! I'd like to take a minute to let anyone who stumbles on my writing - and takes the time to actually read my profile - know something. And I'll be as nice as I possibly can about this. I do not believe in using, or plan to use, trigger warnings for my stories. Ever. So far, there has only been one exception to that rule. Trigger warnings will only appear in the very beginning of a story if I deem it to be necessary. If you plan on reading anything I've written, then just assume that something insanely dark and messed up is going to happen. Characters will die. There will be accounts of rape, abuse, torture, scarification, slimy things, medical procedures, gore, child abuse (pedophilia will not be described, but may be alluded to), self-harm, violence, creepy crawlies, shaming of various cultures or groups (for the purposes of plot and/or characterization, not because of my own views), mental disorders, drug use, kidnapping/hostage situations, dungeons, things that go bump in the night... Honestly, this list is far too long already. Oh... And sexy things. Of any nature, to be honest. I love the sexy things, especially the kinks. If there is something that offends you, and you're not willing to read a story that may or may not have that in it, then feel free to hit the back button. As an author, it's well within my rights to write about things of that nature, especially because they are more dramatic and I prefer writing about them. I can't bring myself to put a warning at the beginning of a chapter just for people who are easily offended. It ruins the experience for all of the readers that don't have any issues with darker material, because they see a warning and know that that particular thing is going to happen in the chapter instead of being surprised by it occurring. In my own personal experience, I absolutely hate seeing trigger warnings when I'm reading a story. It just kills the mood for the chapter. So, I know this may have come off as potentially bitchy, but I'm past caring at this point. If this site allowed more than two genre tags, every story I wrote would have angst, horror, tragedy, etc posted on it just to appease everyone. But, it doesn't. I love that you're willing to read my stories, and even that you want to leave reviews on them. If something I wrote offends you, feel free to review or PM me and let me know. I don't mind that one bit. I just don't want anyone to be surprised when something exceedingly dark happens. That's the kind of writing I do, so you can take it or leave it. (I personally hope you take it, because there is almost always fluff and/or sexiness that follows). As as small side note: For any stories I post that have content that I deem worthy of a trigger warning, or a Public Service Announcement, then it will be in an introductory chapter. It will not be written as an author's note on a chapter. Ever. A prime example of this format is my current story: Cross Point. Important Notice to Reviewers! There's something rather serious that has come to my attention, and there's no way I'm just going to sit by and not put my two cents in. I'd like to start this off by saying that we all have bad days. We're human, and I understand this. You understand this. It's part of our everyday lives. Any number of things can turn your day from utter perfection to total shit in a matter of seconds, and that's something that everyone can relate to. Really, we all get it. It's fine to be upset, and it's alright if you aren't exactly the nicest person in the world. That's normal. Now, the issue I've seen firsthand is one that I didn't realize was even an issue to begin with. If you're having a shit day, don't take it out on others. Just because you're having a bad day, doesn't mean you need to take it out on an author, in a review. I'm one of the lucky ones out there that has relatively thick skin. If you take your frustration out on me by attacking my work, I'll get pissed about it, sure, but I'll never quit. Not everyone is like me. I have several dear friends on this site that are also very thick-skinned. We can all take your shitty comments like pros, get pissed about it, and move on. However, there are others out there that aren't so hardened. Comments like those - calling a chapter, a series of chapters, or a whole story - garbage just because something in your own life has put you in a foul mood are uncalled for. They could be the determining factor in someone quitting writing, painting (or any other art or skill) because not everyone will be able to just brush off what you said. While your life is the most important thing to you, and while you might not be in a particularly wonderful mood, that doesn't mean you need to attack a person who is a complete stranger to you. You don't need to attack their art. You don't need to try and tear them down, to bring them to the same fetid pit you've fallen into. Instead, try appreciating the work we artists - whether writers, painters, or otherwise - put into what you're getting for free. We're passionate, we feel (possibly more deeply, but that's relatively biased), and we do this because we love it. We write (and so on) for you, yes. But we're also writing for ourselves. To bring something new and exciting into the world. To share our thoughts, vision, our dreams, with others. To feel a connection to people we might never meet, and share an experience with you. We're baring a portion of ourselves, laying our deepest thoughts out there and essentially throwing ourselves to the wolves. So, think about that before you leave a review that's nothing but negativity. About my OC's I currently have two OC's that act as main characters in coming stories. One of them is a secret for the time being. The other stars in my story Prisoner. Because, technically, the version of Lucy (Fairy Tail) that I've written in that story is an OC. It's a character that isn't really Lucy, with her description; her zanpakutou is Loke and Zeref combined. So while there are details inspired by Fairy Tail, the stories that have that version of Lucy are technically not crossovers. I know this. And unless a story has other Fairy Tail characters in it, then it really shouldn't be categorized as a crossover. Which is why for Prisoner, I've decided to try incorporating other Fairy Tail characters into the story to make it more of a crossover than just "Hey look at this cool OC I made, but I'm using Lucy because people like reading her and I'll get more reviews that way blah blah blah..." Really, that wasn't my intention with it. So, it's because of this clear distinction (that I was silly enough not to have considered before) that you will see "Lucy (OC-version)" in a couple of my planned stories with the single fandom she's inserted in (aka Bleach). Those ones, I'm not planning on adding other Fairy Tail characters. If there are similarities with other characters that show up, then my Fairy Tail readers can just see them as a nod to my original fandom, rather than "this is a true crossover." I hope that makes sense. Then again, most likely, no one will actually read this. Fandoms and Pairings I am a huge fan of crack pairings, and I always will be. Just take a look at the upcoming stories to see what I mean!! Also, I absolutely love getting requests for stories. It definitely gives me a boost in confidence to know that you like my writing enough to want me to write a specific story. I've already gotten several requests and have added them to my ever-growing list of stories to write. Please be aware though, I will get to your request when I have time or whenever inspiration for that specific story hits me. Because of the sheer amount of chapter stories I have, those are definitely my top priority. So, request away!!! I'm currently writing fanfiction for Fairy Tail and Bleach. I'm also willing to write stories for Seven Deadly Sins, Assassination Classroom, Kuroshitsuji, Naruto, Boruto, Soul Eater, and Magi. If you have a request for another anime, I'll see if I know any authors that write for it, but I can't promise anything.
