But this fic. It certainly lives up to the angst portion of its label. When I started it, I was expecting Lucy and Rogue to pretty much fall through the gate accidentally in the first chapter or two. Have to say, though. I really enjoy all the in-depth character exploration. The character-to-plot balance does seem a little heavy toward the character aspect right now, but it feels like this fic is still very much in the early stages - lining up all the pieces on the board before we really get started and all that. I'm definitely intrigued by what you've given us so far. And I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that that last mystery mark on Lucy was from Flare: nascent Dragon Slayer.

I'm a little surprised that Erik is playing such a large role in this story, but he fills the big brother shoes well. I also really loved how you described Laxus's mark. Fits him to a T. XD

I'm curious about Erik's inability to hear either the princess or Arcadios. Very Suspicious!

I just read through this whole story again, and I forgot how beautiful and impactful it was- how much I truly loved it. Reading it again now showed me the many details I missed, and showed me just how beautiful and sad it really is. It made my heart ache, but I needed to know that it does get better- no matter how long it takes.

I read this story when you posted it - long, long ago. I had fervently hoped you would continue it again one day. I am overjoyed to see that you have. I reread it to the newest chapter and it still reads as wonderfully as it did initially. You have a masterful and deft touch with writing characters and their interactions. I applaud the slow setup that will ultimately yield more drastic results in the future.
You've already highlighted small mysteries and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

I love that Lucy, Erik and Wendy are building a relationship together. It's adorable, and I absolutely love it. Your reasoning on dragon magic and Soul Links is very sound, and it's some really cool theories.

I'm just reading this story for the first time and WOW. So good! I am such a big fan of the way you've been writing Cobra/Erik. I definitely ship CoLu but the brotherly, family love between the two is really well done in your story! Definitely looking forward to RoLu progression and honestly just more of the story. My heart weeps. The interaction is so well written that I was smitten the moment I read the first part.
Now, throughout the story, my heart will yearn for Erik, Cobra, with a passion. I loved him before, but with the way you have written him, I can't help but love his character even more.
