Hermione went through most of her week without too much trouble. She signed herself and the boys up for apparition lessons. It would be nice for her to be able to travel much quicker. Though she was still decidedly going to stick to airplanes for international adventures.
"I swear he's up to something," Harry insisted.
Hermione stood up to look him as close to straight in the eyes as she could. "Look, he could be doing something for his master. You haven't even thought of other possibilities. Let's just get through these lessons and then we can discuss this further."
The lesson was hard. Everyone was sweating by the end and only Dean had managed to move at all. And no one was sure if the half inch was due to apparition or if he had managed to wiggle his way over.
"That was hard," Ron said as they all headed off to clean up. "Mum never said it was that hard."
"I don't doubt it," Hermione said. "It seems to be something that you need to punch through a wall first and then it gets easier."
Harry looked at her like she was crazy. "What?"
"It's supposed to be a metaphor. Guess it wasn't that good."
Hermione had to admit that her brain wasn't working well. All she could think about was hoops and trying to move herself into the next one. And that wasn't going to happen anywhere other than the great hall every other Saturday.
She felt much better after she had a shower and flopped onto her bed. She didn't quite want to head down for supper. At least, not for a bit.
"Long day?" Parvati asked.
"Very. I don't know when we'll actually manage it."
Parvati shrugged. "That's more of a question for Padma. Can't say I've thought about it much. We can't learn till next semester anyways."
A/N: I know this update is short. Very short. But I have read your comments and I have been meaning to get back to updating this story. Hopefully the next update will be decently long.
