I guess even my procrastination has an upper limit, heh. I've decided that I'm actually going to finish my most recent project, and then work backwards from there to finish the older ones, no matter how cringe-worthy all of my old writing might be when I revisit it. Thus, in order of descending priority, updates will first be for Heliocentrism and Riding in on a Pale Horse, then White Lies, then Liar Lover Legend, then Perihelion, then finally (heh, see what I did there?) Final Alchemy. You'll notice I skipped Color of Psychosis. Let's just say that the ending of Bleach was just such a mess that I'm still not sure if I want to touch that fandom again, but if I do, you all will be the first to know. ...... A twenty-five-old with the maturity and mentality of a five-year-old. By day, I pretend to be an upstanding member of society, if you can consider someone who mucks around in a lab for a living 'upstanding'. By night, however, I am a coffee-guzzling, anime-indulging, MMORPG-playing, tabletop-gaming, fanfiction-writing, webcomic-drawing, irredeemable and unrepentant geek. I am a person of many talents. I even dance and sing (badly) with enough sugar in my coffee. That being said, you are welcome to enjoy the aforementioned fanfiction, which tends to be the unholy offspring of too many all-nighters in a row and an terminal addiction to the fantasy genre. So in essence, enjoy my attempts write something even half-way decent, and remember that I'm not liable for any mental damage that may result. ...about.the.stories... Ongoing projects: Riding in on a Pale Horse - (RWBY/Discworld) Explores the idea of giving reality-bending cosmic power to the most bumbling idiot in the series and only half-teaching him how to use it. Jaune is apprenticed to Remnant's DEATH, and gets involved in the canon plot of RWBY with an entirely different set of circumstances. Namely, tracking down a maiden who was scheduled to die but got lost in transit somehow. Shenanigans ensue, canon gets violently defenestrated, and everyone more or less learns a few life lessons. Heliocentrism- (Naruto) Plenty of stories give Naruto the powers to live life as a video game, but what if those powers wound up in the hands of a different potential Child of Prophecy? In a nutshell, Namikaze Minato experiences his life as a game, and no one else knows what the hell is going on. The story is told through non-Minato POV as well, so we can all appreciate the insanity of gamer shenanigans in a world where everyone else is (reasonably) sane. There is an actual plot in there somewhere, I promise. White Lies - (Once Upon a Time) AU where the Storybrooke Explosion is a Mass Empowering Event, and all of our favorite characters fall into the categories of superheroes, supervillains, or some shade of grey in between. Cue a chaotic mishmash of secret identities, fairytale themed superpowers, a three-hundred-year-old plot, and a destiny that rests squarely on the shoulders of Savior, aka, Emma Swan. Luckily, she has her friend-slash-enemy-slash-maybe-boyfriend Hook to help her figure it all out. Liar, Lover, Legend - (Maplestory) Phantom's backstory retold with a lot of artistic license through the lens of his developing relationship with Aria. Lots of world-building for the Maple world, lots of Legends bromance (or affectionate mutual murder attempts, I suppose, in regards to Luminous), and lots of angst, because we all know this story doesn't happily. Oh well. At least Phantom gets to kick a lot of ass in all his finery along the way. Perihelion - (Code Geass) A backstory for Gino Weinberg that will explore his character and, at the same time, a journey through the battles through which Brittannia became the most powerful nation in the world. It'll also elaborate on how Britannia works from the inside, through the eyes of an optimist that I'm fully intending to deconstruct. Very, very minor Gino/Kallen towards the end. Final Alchemy - (Fullmetal Alchemist) Edward Elric, at the end of the 2003 series, minus that odd Nazi-cult Shamballa movie, manages to find a way back to Amestris, but quickly gets saddled with the responsibility to fix a problem far more dangerous than a single crazy alchemist trying to become immortal. The catch? He doesn't get to tell anyone who he really is. The Color of Psychosis - (Bleach) Betrayals, Xanatos Gambits, action, romance, and angst all rolled up into one package. Without giving too much away, essentially, existence itself is in danger of ending, and the only people who can save it are fugitives on the run from Seireitei. The line between allies and enemies blur as events culminate into a war that will change Soul Society forever. |
