I really enjoy this story, and the prequel. I'm glad it's not a retelling of the main story, because that's been done to death. I like the new team members. I have a feeling that with her red hair and personality, Takiko (did I spell that right?) might secretly be an Uzumaki. Maybe she wouldn't know it, since the members of the Uzumaki clan went into hiding. That'd be an interesting twist that would likely change the dynamic between her and Naruto, though possibly not in a positive way at first.

uh no I think team 5 is really interesting. Characters like Minato and Naruto are like one of a kind. Can one really be still so kind when their job requires them to kill and be killed for the good of the village. Shinobis are mess up. Those who realize this at the academy is likely to have pessimistic views and they're still young. That's why we have charismatic leader types like Minato, he inspires people to be better and see the good things in life and not be a bloodthirsty warmonger. I don't see team 5 any worse than canon's team 7. There's potential in them. they're all still practically strangers they'll either learn more about each other or just ignore one another till they are able to leave

I can't believe there was a sequel of "The Daddy Thing"! It was years since I read that one and I am surprised of the sequel, which is interesting in his own. Naruto is still a sweet kid, a bit naive I think, but optimist like in the canon. Reading of his new team is something, especially since we don't get to know them that much: one hates the world and the other think friendship is worthless. Said that, I still hope for some kind of resolution between the kids. I will wait patiently for the update )

Sequel yes! But how did the villagers react to learning about Naruto’s dad? It wasn’t really mentioned...

Okay. That team is a disaster waiting to happen. And I'm looking forward to reading about it. Can't wait for the chunin exams.

Awesome story and I hope you find the drive and time to continue it but real life does take presidents. Plus if your not getting any joy or feeling it anymore then the story would only suffer as a result.

Still love the writing, plot and characters. I find Team 5 interesting, even when the team is basically dysfunctional in the teamwork sense. I wonder what caused them to be this way, and how they’ll resolve their problems (if they ever do). You’re an incredible writer, but if writing fan fiction no longer brings you joy, don’t force yourself. Prioritize yourself before others (even if we’re all dying from anticipation) Thank you for the wonderful read!

It's a good story, but don't push yourself to finish it. I had literally forgotten about it till the update popped into my email and I had to read it all over again. It's okay to drop a story, just delete it so that people don't keep following it.

I mean, I think this Naruto is just a more Minato esque one, and like it for that, but I never really liked that "Takiko" type of Naruto. That type I usually require substantial things such as physical abuse before it even comes close to starting in a guy who originally was meant to be an incarnation of the Friendship Power. Either that or a sociopath Naruto where in he is legitimately a dick. In most cases like that though, it is predicated with Sasuke holding such notions as a class rank important in a life or death struggle despite having been in the deep end, and Sakura just acting like a bitch for a hot minute or so. Most of it is in character if they had the original Naruto but since we haven't yet gotten used to the Takiko Naruto we have an innate sense of them just being dicks and so it flavors the character in a better taste.

I will always wait for this fic. Its interesting to see a team that isn't too involved with each other. And tbh I love Team 5. Sure Takiko gets on my nerves but anyone that's willing to kill a teammate would and for now I don't hate her. In fact, I'm curious to see how you'll develop her character, if you plan to.
And in this chapter, Atsuya was someone who really came out well. The the second he said the line, "anything resembling a spine" I loved him. It was harsh, but it was the truth. It was up to to Maka, to use it to make her or break her. And props to her to use it to build herself up. And is professionalism is again brilliant. And Sumina isn't completely wrong in letting Atsuya deal his first kill by himself, after all pushing some people does nothing but make things worse. I love Team 5, because they aren't idealistic.
