Author has written 7 stories for Naruto, Harry Potter, Twilight, and Dragon Age. AN INTRODUCTION Greetings, fellow readers and writers. I'm Systatic or Sys, the owner of this account. I'm both an avid writer and reader, and I spend what free time I have doing both. AS A RULE... 1. I don't write "lemons"/sex scenes in every story. Writing is about exploring possibilities to me, whether it be the ever-present "if" question, or the relationship between two people. I don't feel the need to include gratuitous intercourse in my writing, either as a plot device or a crutch. Not to say that writing such scenes is indicative of a bad author, just that it's not my cup of tea. To each their own. 2. I don't respond to reviews that merely say "Update please!" This goes back to your mother's "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Whining about wanting the next chapter isn't going to make up post it any sooner. But it won't make me delay it out of spite, either, since to do so would be immature and more hassle than it's worth. Receiving such "feedback" (if it can be termed thus) is more of an annoyance than a boon. I enjoy speaking to my fellow readers and writers, but only if they actually have something to say. 3. I write on my own time. That means that updates will most likely be sporadic. I'm busy; I have a life off of the computer. My world doesn't revolve around fan fiction--not even close. I write my own stories, and although I like to dip my feet into the sandboxes of other authors once in a while, it's not my first choice. 4. If I don't reply to your message, send it again. I get hundreds of e-mails a day. What you've written me may have gotten lost within such chaos. If I don't reply within three days, don't be afraid to resend it. 5. What you see is what you get. What I have posted on FF and my Wordpress is the fan fiction that I'm allowing the public to see. I don't send out unpublished chapters to curious, impatient readers. Like I mentioned before, I have maybe a few hours a week to devote to this site. The rest is wrapped up in with my degrees, family, novels, or social life. If someone asks me for, say, chapters 8-12 of such and such story when it only has seven chapters uploaded, you're not even going to get a reply. It's a waste of my time and yours, so just skip it. 6. Yes, I write slash. But I also write het, and generic fics as well. I explore all aspects of a fandom--nothing is off limits. If the original author has given the green light to derivative works and I enjoy it, then I'll probably write about it. I'm just as likely to pair Harry Potter with Hermione Granger as I am with Draco Malfoy. It doesn't matter to me. I'm not disgusted by it, and it doesn't matter to me if you are. Each of my stories is individual. I'll warn you if the story will contain slash, and the same goes for heterosexual pairings. Those with no focus on romance will have "GENFIC" in the summary. Please do not judge me as an author just because I've written slash; to do so would limit my own ability and that of your possible enjoyment of my other stories. DO NOT ASK TO ADOPT MY STORIES. I WILL SAY NO. |
