Hey there! I've finally caught up with all the chapters and I got to say I've been loving the little background hints of some kind of conspiracy/political maneuvering going on - and this last scene bringing it to the forefront is really getting me excited.
Good job with your OCs, they're definitely growing on me. Definitely starting to get a sense of their character.
One question, not sure if you're leaving it purposefully vague or if i just misunderstood - but is Atsuyo's sister, Yui, also the girl in Karin's class? That's the feeling i got anyway. I know she introduced herself as something else but...

In any case, looking forward to the trip to the living world, wondering what you have planned. Wondering if there won't be more involvement with Isshin regarding the Shiba stuff. And if Chad, Inoue, and Ishida are going to be part of the story at all.

Also, thinking (hoping) that this won't be the last we see of Ichigo's hollow and Zangetsu? I definitely like Shiro just messing with Ichigo as a way of telling him off for being a jerk and ignoring them and I'm hoping he has more to say.

Oh! lol I'm kinda rambling off the top of my head but i just remembered one of the questions i had was about Ichigo's speed vs Rukia's. I definitely get he's been out of practice, but I was wondering why you made her faster than him? Or do you only mean before they go into their respective bankai? Because speed is literally Ichigo's thing - I can possibly see her being faster before bankai though. And I do like that she can casually wipe the floor with him and is properly acknowledged as a badass.

And this chapter also makes me wonder if Atsuyo is going to have any interactions with Ukitake/Kyouraku - having two blades is supposed to be special among the shinigami so curious if anything will come of that.

Ugh this is really scattered, so I'll stop here.

This is perfect. Your story is soothing in a quiet even though there is so much going on. Thank you for your words and perspective. For really illuminating Rukia’s and Ichigo’s relationship.

How you are piecing all these loose ends together is just nice.

I love the gentle way you address this big gulf... of Ichigo wanting a normal life... but how Soul Society and Rukia changed him...

Perhaps that’s why Bleach ended the way it did. But it still left me dissatisfied because it...of everything they went through. I guess “normal” was “nice” to go back to... but that’s not a luxury that is realistic. It felt.. empty to me I guess. And death and change is hard... but it means moving forward, because life moves forward.

It is stupid but canon that souls that are konso'd line up and are given a # in sequence to assign district.

So ah I realize it would defeat the premise but Orihime could reject this it is well within her displayed powers and honestly Urahara could probably do something even if it would probably be both illegal and not with our risk. Maybe it would have been better to just have a hollow eat her then purify it?

With Atsuyo getting to know Ichigo, I’m wondering if he is going to ask him about the black markings on Ichigo’s hand, arms, and chest. Since no other soul reapers have fullbring.

I had to reread some things because I kept wondering why Byakuya would help Ichigo with Karin. In the end I feel like it’s because of respect for what Ichigo has done, and Karin’s potential and respect she showed him. It may also be that as a brother himself, Byakuya can relate to Ichigo’s desire to care for his sister and he’s trying to help out.

I wonder what is afoot. Wonder what some members of the Shiba clan could be up to, amd especially why they might want to betray their own kin (Ichigo and Karin). I love that Karin is starting to make a friend. I’m still not sure if the voice she is hearing is an inner hollow or her Zanpakutō, I have a feeling that it is the latter. I hope she discusses it with Ichigo next time she sees him. Looking forward to her reaction to the news that they can visit the family soon! I hope Ichigo friends are there too when they visit since he left so abruptly.

Ooh, that IchiRuki moment, tho...sweet kiss & hehe, Rukia definitely looking at u, Ichigo! And is this Oishi guy gonna try to compete against my boi Hitsugaya? pfft, not like he has much of a chance! Lol... Now i wonder what's going on with these Shiba siblings...
