"Hera." The ex-goddess lifted her red and sniffing face from her hands slightly. "Why did you call Kim, 'little Justice?' What did you mean?"

Hera looked at Kim. "Can't you see? The power she used? Athena's blood calling to its own."

Drakken spat next to himself. "They will walk all over you one day, just like my friends did to me! You will always be the same doormat sidekick you are, no matter what you do!"

Kim declared. "I think... I think Amanda Waller had something to do with Shego's fall."

Chapter 25: Unbreakable Kimmy Possible

Belle Reve Penitentiary

Drakken sat in his cage that was lined with meta-power suppressing devices, along with guards on all sides, watching him nervously.

He had to suppress a rueful smile. He was probably going to be executed eventually, but in an ironic twist of fate, he had indeed earned the respect and fear of many. In Shego's unexplained absence, and following pandemonium, that was as good a consolation prize as he was going to get.

His thoughts turned to the man who defeated him, as they usually did in that cell. He looked up to the nearest guard, an especially stone faced man, and spoke as he sometimes did, goading them into some sort of response. "Imagine. An evil genius of my magnitude forced to squander his days staring at the best and brightest of American prison system."

The nearby guards didn't respond, but they visibly shifted on their feet nervously. Drakken pushed it a little more. "Tell me, did any of you lose someone close to you in the Diablo invasion?" That one line, he kept trying on the new guards that they brought in to cover shifts all the time. "No? Well, that's a relief. After all, I am right here, just powerless."

Some of the guards gripped their guns tighter than they did before. Drakken chuckled.

In reality, these men were as corrupt as him. The blue madman had seen them open way for an agent of Lex Luthor just a day into his stay on the premises, accepting the payout to keep silent about it. It was made clear to him that any attempt to speak about Luthor's involvement would result in the swift execution of his mother. Then, it was also said he were to keep all he knew about heroes' identity to himself.

And the senior guards just watched it happen.

If nothing else, being on the top of truly hated men in the world list was showing Drakken something he had not thought about. Before, he used to think world worked in black and white. That he had to be some sort of villain if he were to get what he was owed.

Yet now, it was becoming all too clear to him. There were no heroes or villains, just people trying to improve their lot, by any means necessary. If he could do over the invasion, he wouldn't have tried taking down the heroes that stopped him. He would just send the robots to kill every leader in world politics, along with corporatists and bankers. After all, it was one of those very men, those with true power, that goaded him into the actions of that night. Drakken was not stupid. He knew that he was used by Luthor.

His musings were cut short by a sudden explosion close by. Then, loud crashes were heard outside. Crashes got closer. Finally, after a lull of silence, the wall on the far side of the large room containing Drakken's cage exploded inwards. Out of the debris, something walked in.

Something… someone… very big. All the guards in the room started emptying the clips in their automatic rifles on the intruder. But as Drakken watched, it became apparent that all the bullets might as well have been droplets of rain to the said intruder.

As the clips ran out, and everyone watched in horror, the immense person just looked around, allowing everyone a good look.

Drakken immediately identified the intruder as some sort of alien. It was a humanoid, distinctly female in shape, except for the fact that she was easily nine feet tall, and sported almost as much muscle as an Olympic bodybuilder. The alien had very prominent green skin, darker green hair pulled in a ponytail, red eyes that screamed of murder, wearing a one piece outfit that showed a whole lot of skin, along with purple gloves and boots. She did not seem one bit interested in the men attacking her. Looking around, she spoke with a very prominent and authoritative tone, and most surprisingly, in English. "The weaponry of this planet is pitiful." Then she suddenly backhanded the guard that was closest to her, sending the poor man headfirst into a wall, possibly killing him outright. Rest of the guards hurriedly renewed their clips, and started firing again. The alien woman, barely annoyed by the constant rain of bullets, moved fast and started going through the guards like so much cardboard.

Drakken stood up instinctively as he watched the merciless alien sprayed blood and flesh everywhere, in a display of physical might. The room's guards were all slaughtered in a single minute. The blue skinned man found breathing a little hard after that display.

The alien woman wiped her hands on the wall and then sauntered to the cage, visibly taking gauge of Drakken. She seemed satisfied after her quick once over, then easily punched through the cage. Drakken felt the effect of power dampeners immediately lessening. He was wary. "Who are you?"

"Someone who needs to talk to you, human." They heard shouting from behind her. The hallway opening to the large room revealed more guards rushing in to counter attack. The alien raised her sidearm, a technologically superior looking weapon, and pulled the trigger. A large blast of condensed plasma tore through the guards and exploded, creating even more gore.

The alien turned back to Drakken. "And Warmonga will not give you any choice about it."

Drakken was not going to argue.

The beautiful woman sauntered over a salon chair, styling hair as the last rays of evening sun filtered into the beauty salon. "Darling, you will look magnificent for your daughter's graduation."

The woman in the chair enthusiastically agreed with heavy, posh British accent. "You are positively an artist, Hera!"

About fifteen minutes later, the woman bid a good night to the salon owner, a quite stereotypical gay hairdresser, and exited via the side door. As soon as she was in the well lit and clean alleyway, she heard a young female voice from her side.

"Really? You didn't even bother to use a different name?"

Hera didn't need to look to know who it was. Thousands of years of life experience had taught her well not to show surprise, and besides, she knew that voice, if a bit lighter version. "You know very well, Kimberly," as she looked to the side and confirmed seeing the teenager leaning on the wall, "Names mean little if they are not given the proper context. Why do you think your mother called herself 'Titania' in the first place?"

Kim, wearing baggy jeans ,a dark red hoodie she borrowed from Ron's stash and a ball cap that was framing black hair, instead of their usual reddish hue, straightened up and took a few steps towards the fallen Olympian. The choker modifying her appearance seemed muted and matte, hidden beneath the hoodie. "I don't know, I just assumed she was making a Shakespeare reference."

Hera smiled, "Maybe. Then again, maybe not." The smugness was unmistakable, but Kim wasn't there to engage in small talk, so she shrugged that comment away.

The teenager in disguise noted Hera's appearance, wearing modern clothes instead of a toga, tunic or robe. The former goddess seemed as vibrant and beautiful as ever, but it looked like as if she had built over a very thin layer of dust on her visage. That, and Kim could see the hints of lines around her eyes. "You're getting older."

Hera smiled, reacting way differently than Kim expected, seemingly taking in the comment with good natured humor, rather than spite. "So are you, dear, look how tall you've gotten."

Kim's left eyebrow rose. "I maybe added just an inch since we last saw each other."

Hera met her halfway, holding Kim at arm's length and inspecting. "I didn't just refer to your physical attributes." The woman smiled again. "The way you carry yourself… You've been through a lot."

Kim had previously made her peace with this fallen goddess, but she still didn't want to discuss all her problems with her. Gently brushing Hera's hand aside, "I just need some information, then, I will be out of here, no drama."

Hera seemed surprised. "You will not visit Diana and Zola?"

"I'm in a bit of a hurry."

Hera stopped, then nodded. "Very well. How can I be of service, oh great Titan?" She was only half sarcastic.

Kim sighed. "What do you know about visions of future?"

Hera's face lost all playfulness, and immediately took on grim lines.

Two pairs of bird eyes opened, and in a most unorthodox fashion, an owl started watching them both from above.

Kim surveyed the area with disgust. Hera's advice had sent her all the way into Libya. It had not been easy to infiltrate the failed state with the civil war raging.

She had spent the last week traveling across Europe, then crossing through the Turkish border, yet that was the easy part, as traversing a country in the midst of a civil war had proven much harder, especially so for a female American trying to hide herself.

But she was resourceful. And had superpowers. She checked the revamped Kimmunicator in her hand, confirmed her position, and then jumped down into a dusty back alley. Quickly circling the building, she found an entrance, and walked inside the musty tea parlor. The place was abandoned completely, no patrons or servers, as this place was right in the middle of the most heated conflict in Libyan civil war.

There was, however, a single hunched figure sitting next to the only decent looking table in the place. Kim took a good look, trying to understand what she was observing. The figure was simply a man on the surface. An older, British looking man with a wispy mustache, receding hairline and very unflattering facial structure. Yet, for some reason, the instincts of the redhead were all screaming her danger as she gazed on that very man.

Said man took a sip of his tea, very uninterested in the distant gunfire or the recent walk-in to the establishment he was on. As he gazed on his tea after the sip, he spoke, revealing a clean British accented, soft-spoken voice.

"My dear child, you are half a world away from where you should be." The man was not even looking at Kim.

Suppressing the need to gulp, Kim spoke. "I am ex-exactly where I want to be." She couldn't help but stumble in the middle of that sentence, betraying some of the fear she kept under the surface.

The old gentleman threw him a sideways glance. "No doubt. You know what you want. So sure of yourself. Your conviction is beyond reproach." Then he stood up, putting Kim on high alert.

"I… I know who you are." She kept herself as steady as possible.

The man threw him a knowing look. "Do you know? You may know my name, but I doubt you know who I am."

Kim's nerves frayed just by being in that presence. She had tangled with gods of Olympus before. But even Apollo, who could handily wipe the floor with Diana and herself both, paled in comparison to the being she was approaching now.

This was the god who trained Diana in the arts of combat. This was the god whose primary focus was violence itself. And by all accounts, he was easily one of the most powerful of the Olympians, second only to his father and uncles.

"Ares. The- the God of War."

The old gentleman smiled, betraying no hint about his true nature on surface, but every fiber in Kim's body was screaming at her to get the hell out. She ignored her instincts as best as she could.

When Ares spoke again, his voice took on a sweeter tone. "My child, it is such an easy to thing to label someone, true or not." He gestured around himself. "Take this place, for example. Humans fight over a desert, and for what, their precious oil? They are of the same religion, some even from the same sect, yet they keep fighting and killing each other, with no remorse or direction. Calling this place a 'home' is simply not true for anyone, yet they do it so."

"Maybe..." Kim gathered her courage before speaking, "If you just left, they wouldn't be fighting!"

Ares smiled with melancholy. "Is that what Diana told you? That I am the cause of war and conflict?" He shrugged dusting off his jacket as he walked around the parlor. "Understandable, to a degree. She was too young to understand, to know what humanity means." The word was uttered with disgust. "I am not the cause of their wars. I never was. They do it all on their own. They are weak in spirit, cruel and everything that the Old Gods should have purged at the very beginning. But they didn't, so I am here, watching them drown in their own bile and hatred."

"There are millions, billions of good people, like my family, doing nothing but simply living in peace, all around the world. You are wrong about us."

Ares turned and smiled, sending yet another shiver down Kim's spine. "Us? You think… you are one of them?" The old form shook slightly with a deep laughter. "That is… surprising."

"What is?!"

Ares didn't answer, but he spoke again after a few paces with the same calm and polite demeanor. "Tell me, child, why are you here?"

Kim knew she wasn't going to get anything out of this particular god unless he wanted to divulge himself, so she exhaled and focused on the original purpose she had. "I need answers."

"What sort of answers?"

Kim sighed. "I keep seeing visions of the future."

Ares' old form suddenly shifted, the quick movement betraying the frail visage he was projecting. "Future, you say?" The eyes of the man suddenly glowed with some metallic shine, unsettling the redhead. The cane in the old gentleman's hand suddenly spun around, coming to rest on a chair. "Sit."

When Kim hesitated to even move, he repeated himself, albeit with a little more force. "I said, sit."

Kim walked near him and sat down. As they heard explosions and gunfire in the distance, Ares sat across from Kim with the table in between them.

"Now, tell me. Which future?"

"It is time. You must answer Warmonga." The alien female towered over Drakken. "Are you the Great Blue?"

Drakken was confused and scared. "Uh… Nice… Green lady..I..."

The alien holstered her sidearm. "Warmonga has been traveling across the stars. To look for the son of a third planet."

Drakken's eyes darted around, uncertain. "That… can mean a lot of people."

Warmonga was not concerned with Drakken's protest. She walked forwards as she spoke. "Lorwardian prophecy foretells of the Great Blue! He who will reach out to our kind from beyond the stars, from the third planet of a young sun."

Drakken was getting more creeped out by the minute. "Yea… Good luck with that." He looked out a window, and saw Earth under him, as Warmonga's spaceship orbited the planet. "If you could just drop me off at the next town, or whatever's convenient, heh..." He trailed off as Warmonga's face darkened.

"You don't understand. This prophecy is not some flight of fancy! It is the only way we survive! If you are not the Great Blue..." The alien turned around. "Warmonga must keep searching, to pledge the resources of the Lorwardian Empire to the one worthy chosen, the Great Blue who would lead our mighty military in glorious intergalactic conquest, and save us from the Unspoken Evil!"

That first part immediately grabbed Drakken's attention. "You have an empire?"

Warmonga turned around. "The full might of the Lorwardian Empire is behind me, subject only to the approval of my beloved emperor!"

Drakken knew that fate had offered him a second chance. He switched gears quickly. "Oh, that Great Blue! Why, yes, that's me!"

Ares stared at the crude carving on the rickety table. Kim had carved the Omega symbol on it after explaining how she started to see it and many other things in her dreams.

The old gentleman's hand traced the symbol slowly. "After all this time..." He almost seemed happy. His gaze turned to Kim, his mind made up. "You have no idea what you have seen. I do. But I don't have the answers. Those are… someone else's specialty."

Kim was getting impatient. "Then point me to that person!"

Ares smiled again. "Such fire. You do remind me of her, child." His cane was resting on the table, but it suddenly spun in place, the handle pointing to Kim. "Take it." Ares commanded.

Unsure, Kim did so. As she grabbed the cane, the image in front of her switched, showing her the side of a snowy mountain. The image cleared up further to reveal a distinctly alien ship resting on the cliff. Some sort of door opened up, and to Kim's amazement, Drakken walked out of it.

Then, something she had never seen walked out after him. Some sort of green skinned alien, rivaling another alien, Atrocitus, she had seen once in size. This one was a female, and she looked not at all disturbed by the cold and wind around her.

The image disappeared. Ares called her cane back to his hand, a slight smile curving his lips. "You have seen the invader."

Kim wasn't sure what was going on. "Why did you show me that?"

Ares inhaled sharply, as if taking in the dusty and moldy air around him. "My domain is War, child. It is around us, at almost all times, since humans are so ready to wage war on each other at all times." He stood up. "But wars of men are not my only domain. The true war, one that is for survival, for protecting what we pledged to, that is also my domain."

Kim didn't understand. "What's an alien gotta do with war?"

Ares smiled. "The gods of Olympus have a duty. One that most of us shirked, but a few. My sister never forgot, neither did I. We, side by side with our father, pledged to protect this planet, and we did so. Until we couldn't."

Kim suddenly understood. "The Black Zero, Kryptonians attacking..."

Ares smiled with melancholy. "We didn't act in time. The other gods didn't help. Father was missing. The rest was locked in intrigue. As Athena and I watched, one of their own defeated the Kryptonians. But my sister doesn't forget. Or forgive."

Kim was finding herself more and more frustrated. "What does it all have to do with me?"

Ares looked in her eyes. "The answers you seek, they lie with the true guardian of this planet. But you cannot reach her. Not like this. You need to prove yourself, as a protector of the planet. Just like us."

The cane struck the ground, spreading lines of thin fire. "I know war, child. And that alien means war. She needs to be stopped." The thin lines of fire reached Kim. "And you, you need to prove yourself to the only one that matters. Only then, you will know the answers."

Kim stood up, watching nervously as the lines of fire circled her. "You want me to fight that alien?"

Ares smiled. "Go. Wage…." His smile broadened. "War." As his voice echoed, lines of fire jumped up and covered Kim.

Next moment, she was somewhere else, definitely not Syria, not even Middle East. As she looked around, she realized that she was lost. "Really?"

Back at the tea parlor, Ares sat back down, assuming the frail old gentleman pose again. His eyes glinted as he spied the owl sitting on the rafters.

"Your little trick is not going to hold up anymore, dear sister."

The owl flew away, as Ares sat there and listened to the sounds of civil war.

Shego walked through the door she just opened. The small room contained only a desk and two chairs. In one of them, a woman whom she absolutely hated was sitting.

Amanda Waller motioned to the other chair. "Sit."

Shego knew to hold her tongue. This woman was not one she wanted to screw with. The mint skinned criminal sat down, keeping her eyes on Waller.

Waller threw a file across the desk. "Your assignment."

Shego sighed, opened the file, and then promptly cursed. "What the fuck is this?!" She pointed to the main subject of her assignment. It was Drew Lipsky. "Is that your fucking idea of a joke, Waller?!"

Waller smiled. "No. He was broken out of prison. Turn the page."

Shego did, and saw a blurry security camera picture. In it, she could see the massive figure of some alien woman. "What in the-" Turning to Waller, "This thing broke Doc out of prison?"

Waller nodded. "We think it's another alien vanguard. With all the recent incursions on the planet in the last decade, we cannot afford to ignore them and hope for it to go away. I need you to assess the situation."

Shego was confused. "This… this isn't about Drakken?"

Waller threw her an icy look. "Drakken is the problem of law enforcement. My concern is the safety and security of United States. And that alien represents a threat. We need to learn what it is." She stood up, walked around, and stopped right behing Shego. "That does not mean, however, Drakken doesn't play into this at all."

Shego's head was lowered. "You… you want me to get close to him and gather information about the alien."

Waller's hands grabbed both of Shego's shoulders. The criminal heard the voice of the government agent very close to her right ear. "Exactly. I need you to get me the information, any way you can. The motives, the tools, even its physiology."

Shego gulped. "I left Doc without a word. He won't be welcoming, not after his temper tantrum with the robots."

Waller's voice was unflinching in Shego's air. "Any way that you can. I don't care how. Do your job."

The government agent turned to leave, but Shego had one more question. "I have been doing your dirty work for months. When will I see my mother?"

Waller was not forthcoming. "Soon. If you do your job."

Drakken marveled at the alien technology, as a simple cube type robot quickly expanded itself and constructed a fully functioning ops base. "What is this thing operating on, nuclear fission?"

Warmonga seemed uninterested. "Lorwardian technology operates solely on the manipulation of the zero point fields of quantum particles. Your inferior race barely understands the concept."

That didn't exactly sound reassuring to Drakken, but he pushed that worry aside. "I am hoping you have something that can amplify ionic outputs. This will… " He made up a lie on the spot. "Empower me, enable me to fulfill my destiny as the Great Blue."

The prospect of finding the warrior of prophecy excited Warmonga very much. She immediately started to craft a device to Drakken's specifications. "We have the exact technology to ravage a planet of oxygenated atmosphere. It can easily be modified to fit your needs."

She also showed Drakken all the rest of the arsenal. "Lorwardian technology to suppress and dominate planetary resistances. Please acquaint yourself with those, Great Blue! In the meantime, I will activate the atmosphere modification feature, make the terrain into our ally!"

Drakken felt as if he was his old self again, to enjoy in such devices, but he knew now, devices were only means to an end. "Your empire… It goes around conquering planets then?"

Warmonga didn't look up from her console. "Ours is a noble conquest, to dominate all lesser beings, so that when time comes, all may oppose the Unspoken Evil at our side." Her next sentence had no feeling to it. "Those that cannot aid us, only deserve destruction at our hands. It is a better fate than becoming a puppet to him." She grimaced, an interesting look on her otherwise ageless alien face. "The Green Lanterns of the Universe does not approve, but they are few and far in between, so we stay out of their way with ease." Then she smiled. "And if one of them finds out, we kill them."

"What do you do when a species fails your standards?"

Warmonga was unflinching. "We destroy their planet. We cannot offer any sentient life for the Unspoken Evil to corrupt for his army."

Drakken couldn't help but shiver.

Shego was watching the light above the door of the plane she was in. It turned from red to green, and the door in front of her opened up mid-flight, signaling the go-ahead. She took a deep breath and jumped out the plane.

She didn't need a parachute. Green plasma came alive in her hands and propelled her forward, allowing her to fly through the mountain range, for the target destination that Waller provided.

When she reached it, she was struck by how… alien it looked. It was unlike any human structure, lines of energy covering the structure seemingly made out of nothing but cubes of all sizes. There was a beam going upwards from the middle of the structure, and seemed to be the cause of the impromptu snowstorm in summer, which was extreme, even for Norway, which was where they were now.

Despite that, it wasn't that hard sneaking into it. As she made her way through the alien corridors, she heard voices, making her close in on them.

"The amplifier modification is completed. You can decimate your whole pathetic planet with only interfacing with the device now."

Drakken stood in front of the machine he dubbed 'Mega Weather Generator.' It was a hollow victory at best, knowing what Warmonga had planned for the rest of the planet after this.

He touched the interface with his bare hands, and immediately felt the potential of power. He knew, if he desired, he could rain thunderstorms on an entire city just right then, without anyone able to stop him.

But he stopped and stepped back, deep in thought.

What the fuck am I doing? Domination is one thing but…

Warmonga's voice cut into his thoughts. "Has Warmonga pleased the Great Blue?"

Drakken didn't know what to do. He was torn between desire for revenge and concern for life.

He didn't have to deliberate long, as a familiar voice reached them both. "The Great Blue?"

Shego dropped from above a giant monitor, not at all looking happy about being there, She didn't say anything for a few seconds, as she stared into Drakken's eyes, then turned her gaze to the alien. "I'll give you Blue, but Great?" She didn't feel good belittling Doc, as the man she knew once had already gone overboard trying to conquer the whole planet recently.

Warmonga was about to march towards her, when Drakken's hand shot in front of her, stopping the alien. Looking at Shego with a venom unlike any Shego ever observed from him, he spoke. "What are you doing here?"

Shego lied through her teeth, she had no other choice. "I was having a vacation when you threw a hissy fit, so I said 'fuck it' and found other employment. Then I heard someone broke you out, so wanted to see what was going on."

Such an excuse could fool the old Drakken. But working with Lex Luthor had taught Drew Lipsky one thing.

Perspective.

"You're lying." His eyes darkened, in some form of hatred spilling from them. "And I am sick of it." One of his hands went to his side, retrieving a cylinder and pointing to Shego. "Tell me the truth now, or-"

"Or what, Doc? Kill me?" Shego's own ire started to rise. She knew she had abandoned the man, but at the end of the day, it was his decision to go psycho on all world. "You couldn't even take down Possible and his sidekick at the invasion. Oh yeah, I heard."

Drakken's face suddenly broke into an angry snarl, and the cylinder sparked, giving Shego only a second to raise her hands shoot green plasma streams from them.

Lightning shot from Drakken's wand met Shego's plasma stream, and caused a small explosion, hurling them both some ways.

"Warmonga, deal with the backstabbing bitch!" was the only thing Shego could hear as she stood up, shaken from the explosion.

The alien female was just standing there, having shrugged off the small explosion like it was nothing, but that command set her in motion.

As Shego shook off the dizziness, she saw the green alien descend on her fist drawn, face set in a snarl and bellowing out a warcry of her own name. "Warmonga!"

Now, Shego was a seasoned merc, and she also fancied herself an able criminal, but that sight was enough to make even her panic. Her hands came alive with green plasma, blasting her backwards on the ground.

Warmonga's fist met the metal ground, shaking the entire alien-made hideout. Shego rolled and got on her feet while blasting backwards. She saw the alien rising, her focus narrowing on the scared metahuman.

Shego barely had the time to put both her hands forward and expelling plasma out of her hands with all she had, meeting Warmonga's next charge.

Warmonga initially slid backwards on the ground, but then, she activated a device on her left wrist, which in turn created a decent sized energy shield that deflected the continuous stream of plasma. Then, she started taking one step forward at a time.

The look in the alien's eyes freaked out Shego even more. This was unlike anything she had ever faced. The thing advancing towards her was literally from out of this world, and the mint-skinned mercenary had never seen anything or anyone like this alien. She had seen her plasma eat through meters-thick titanium walls, and the alien had barely registered it head on, never mind the shield tech she was now employing.

Shego's fear drove her into reaching inside her even more, pushing herself for more. The beam of plasma intensified, and Warmonga slid backwards a few meters at first, but then she resumed her slow advance anew.

The deflected plasma intensified so much that where it met Warmonga's shield on the ground started melting the alien metal itself.

As the alien inched even closer, Shego delved deep and pushed out energy like she had never before. As the distance between Warmonga and Shego whittled down to a few feet, the energy reached a critical point, feedback loop from shield meeting the incoming plasma.

The resulting explosion blew both combatants far and fast, Shego inadvertently smashing through alien steel, with the concentrated portion of the feedback plasma going straight up and spearing through the alien-made hideout's roof.

Shego found herself half-fainted on snow. The snowstorm was around her, raging, the white hell she landed on covering her perception. Righting herself to a sitting position revealed that she was blown back to the mountainside below the hideout.

She realized she was still shaking in panic. The alien was vastly more powerful than she expected. It had taken all she had to just slow down the nine feet tall alien, and she didn't have enough energy for a round two.

Warmonga had other plans.

Shego heard the loud crash, and saw the green form's arc in the sky, jumping towards Shego's general area. The alien hit the ground, kicking off a lot of snow. As the snow settled back on the ground, Warmonga's gaze was revealed to have fixed squarely on the mercenary-turned-government agent.

"Oh, shit." Shego wasn't optimistic about her chances.

Warmonga's deep, yet still feminine and authoritative tone was colored by a tinge of excitement as she spoke. "I was beginning to think there was no one on this planet that could offer me a worthy challenge. Finally, someone worthy to spill blood and bathe my spear in." She was smiling.

That, more than anything else, freaked Shego out. She had enough intel to know that this Warmonga was the type to be excised out of the planet quickly, but she wasn't gonna stick around and volunteer for that job.

As Warmonga licked her lips, Shego suddenly blasted off from the ground, her hands flaring up, her lithe figure rolling in the air. After a very quick landing that barely saw her soles touching the snow, Shego's hands exploded in green energy, shooting her up and away from the alien.

Warmonga, however, wasn't about to let a lack of the ability of flight to get in the way of her hunt.

Shego heard a loud boom behind her, and as she coiled in the air to take a peek backwards, she saw the blastoff pattern on the snowy mountainside, but more than anything else, she saw the rapidly approaching form of Warmonga.

Taken by surprise, Shego couldn't react, and Warmonga caught her in the air, holding the mercenary's throat with a single hand. They started to arc downwards, falling, Shego's plasma blasts suddenly cutting off. The alien kept an iron grip on Shego as they descended, and when they were about to hit the ground, she threw the mercenary into the snow.

Shego was dazed as all hell, the snow around her having absorbed only so much of the force of being thrown. Warmonga landed right in front of Shego, then took a few steps to stand directly above the human woman.

All Shego could see was the massive silhouette above her, and as a last ditch effort, she raised her right arm and tried to blast the alien off of her. Warmonga reacted quickly, slapping the arm to the side, sending the plasma blast to the side. "It is time to claim your head as my trophy!"

Shego knew that this was it. She had no hope of defeating this alien, and she had failed at even escaping with her life. As Warmonga readied her spear and activated its energized bladed end, the mint skinned mercenary closed her eyes.

A loud whistling sound reached her ears as something sailed through the air, pierced through the snowstorm and knocked the alien spear right out of Warmonga's hands. Next moment, Shego opened her eyes to see a rapidly approaching Kim Possible shoulder charging Warmonga on her side, sending her away from the downed mercenary.

Shego felt her arm being grabbed, then she got pulled upwards to standing position. In her dazed state, she had to lean on the one who pulled her up. She blinked a few times to observe her rescuer in detail.

Kim was looking like she had been flying around for a while, but she didn't look tired. What got Shego's attention was her new attire. It was a white full body suit with blue energized lines running through it. Kim's eyes fixated on Shego for an instant. "I thought you were on vacation." The sarcasm was obvious.

Shego rolled her eyes as she got loose of Kim's grip. "One, I wouldn't call this 'on the clock.' Two, I've been out of Doc's payroll for a while."

Kim snorted. "Yea, I figured that much, when he went insane and tried to take over the whole world and murdered a friend of mine." Her voice didn't betray any sadness, but Shego could hear the bitter tone in it. "How long have you been working for Waller?" Redhead's gaze turned and fixated on the recovering alien next.

Shego was genuinely shocked. "How'd you- What the hell Princess?!"

"Thanks for confirming my suspicion just now."

Shego wanted to punch herself for being played by the cheerleader so easily. They all heard displacing air above them, and looked up to see Drakken descending slowly with small tornados under his palms. He touched down and snarled at Kim. "Kim Possible! You couldn't wait to hunt me down for a single day?!"

Kim's eyes were still on the alien female. With a resolved tone, "Believe it or not Drakken, I am not here for you."

Shego lightly touched her arm. "Princess, that's not any other criminal, that's an alien, really damn strong-"

"I know." She stepped forward, then touched the belt area of her suit, turning its absorption mode on, effectively activating the shimmering stars in a night sky look of the suit on. "She's why I'm here."

Shego held her side as she threw a glance at her. "Who sent you?"

Kim was taciturn about it. "Not Waller, that's for sure."

Warmonga looked directly at Kim, then pointed at her. "You." She smiled. "You are not as weak."

Kim held out her hand, and the spear of Athena came right back flying into her palm. "You get one chance. Leave this planet. Now."

Warmonga's smile expanded as she collected her own spear. "Human girl, I am here to serve the Great Blue, but I will happily murder you in the meantime. And your pathetic planet has seen nothing yet."

Kim played one more card. "I don't know where you come from, but this is not a planet you want to sniff around for weakness. The last ones to try were Kryptonians, wanna know what happened to them?"

That one gave Warmonga pause. "Kryptonians went extinct."

This time, it was Kim's turn to smile. "Should tell you something."

Warmonga snarled in response. "The Lorwardian Empire welcomes your challenge, little girl!"

She charged forward without warning. Kim was ready for that, and she did the same.

They met in the middle, spear to spear, with a low powered shockwave expanding out from that point.

As they pushed against each other, Kim made her first discovery about the alien.

The nine feet tall woman was strong.

Stronger than Kim, at least.

Warmonga pushed back and sent her backwards with a warcry. Kim slid backwards and looked at her hands, shaking slightly from the immense feedback from Warmonga's push.

Before Drakken or Shego could do or say anything, Warmonga jumped forward, attacking Kim with full strength. The redhead jumped above Warmonga's charge, landing on the other side.

The alien didn't miss a beat, and pulled her energy pistol as she turned around, firing it off as soon as Kim was in her line of sight. "You shall suffer the wrath of Warmonga!"

Cheerleader's arm formed an impromptu X-shape, courtesy of Amazonian training by way of Diana, and her battle suit absorbed most of the attack, heating up the suit considerably. Her voice immediately took a sweeter tone, slightly mocking in melody. "They play catch on your planet?" Then she extended her right hand, expelling all absorbed energy at once.

Warmonga couldn't react in time, and got hit by the raw energy, sending her flying away into the side of the mountain. The alien struck the hillside so hard, visible crack patterns appeared on the impact point. Then they all heard the low rumble.

"What was that?!" Shego didn't look happy as the rumbling started to escalate.

Kim looked up to the mountaintop. "Loose snow and ice due to summer weather, now adding this freak snowstorm to the mix, I think that mountain is about to-" Ice broke down and started racing through the side of the mountain. "Well, do that."

Then they heard another warcry. "Warmongaaa!" Mountain shook slightly again as the alien's shape launched off of it, closing in on their location.

Kim twirled her spear. "Get the hell out of here, Shego!"

"What about you?!"

Kim got ready to jump as well. "This is my fight to finish!" Then she blasted off, ready to engage Warmonga airborn. The two warriors, Earthling and alien both, met in the air again, deflecting each other off to opposite sides. Kim's form barreled in the air until she slowed down and hovered, while Warmonga landed and then jumped again.

Shego saw the falling ice kicking off the latent snow at the side of the mountain, along with the new snow from the artificially generated storm, starting to close in on the alien hideout and their own position. Drakken was looking at the same thing, looking lost more than ever as he tried to understand exactly what was going on.

They both watched as the alien and teenage cheerleading metahuman clashed over and over again, each more violent than the last, and seemingly expanding in scale.

Shego decided it was time to rise above the ground as the rollout of snow and ice turned into a fully formed avalanche, and blasted plasma from her hands, taking off. Drakken did the same as mini tornadoes formed under his palms.

The roar of the avalanche diminished slightly as they rapidly increased their altitude, Shego steadied herself in the air, looking directly at Drakken. "Why, Doc?!"

Drakken knew what she meant. "I was sick and tired of being discarded Shego. I could take a lot, but you…." The blue skinned man's eyes offered only venom. "I had a chance to get the respect I deserved, and in a way, I succeeded."

Shego screamed as the avalanche and the battle raged on beneath them. "You are still too stupid to understand what goes on around you at any time! I had to leave, and I had no fucking choice about it!"

Drakken's voice bellowed back. "And here I thought, no one could make you do fucking anything!"

Shego's temper finally snapped with that one. "You were the idiot who decided to start senselessly murdering and destroying shit!"

Drakken's howl was accompanied by him directing the snowstorm's fury on Shego, as a wall of white and wind descended on the plasma powered mercenary.

Warmonga kept coming back as she clashed with Kim in the air, relentlessly pursuing the airborne metahuman despite lacking the same power.

And with each clash, Kim's arm shook more, as it was becoming even more apparent, somehow, this alien had way more brute strength than a cheerleader with Olympian blood.

Kim knew, she wasn't gonna overpower this alien with power alone. So decided to avoid Warmonga's next charge, and flew downwards after the alien's next jump.

Warmonga landed some distance away, as Kim did the same thing. They looked at each other, as avalanche raged behind Kim, about to reach them both.

And Kim didn't see one bit of worry in the alien's eyes. She charged forward, and so did Warmonga. Kim jumped over her to deliver a spinning kick, a move out of her old cheerleader-fights-crime repertoire.

Warmonga was surprised only momentarily, as she spun around and pulled her sidearm weapon at the same time. Kim, landing on the other side, barely had time to react as she raised her arms and absorbed the laser blast from the alien weapon.

That's when the white hell reached them both with deafening intensity. Kim didn't have time to fly out of it, and was instantly buried by the flowing snow. Warmonga screamed her own name as she took stance against the avalanche and withstood it as the ice and snow covered her as well.

Drakken's rage fueled the unnatural snowstorm, and Shego lost sight of all as she barreled down into that same mass of ice and snow.

For a good minute, sounds of the blizzard were the only ones to be heard.

Drakken hovered above as he let down on his above, and the sudden blizzard died down as fast as it originally began. He wasn't sure what had just happened to all the combatants.

He didn't have to wait long. With a scream, green plasma burned through the snow, and revealed a very pissed off Shego. The woman zeroed in on the blue skinned man, and with another scream, launched off to punch him out of the sky.

That's when the snow and ice exploded some distance away, revealing Warmonga jumping out of it, intercepting Shego on her way to Drakken. The plasma powered woman found herself punched away. In her dazed state, she couldn't right herself, so she barreled straight into the cliff nearby. Just as she was about to barrel into it, Kim came out flying and caught her.

Slowly hovering down, Kim steadied Shego and they both touched down on the icy snow.

Warmonga landed close to them, about fifty feet away, throwing up snow around her. Drakken hovered down and kept hovering slightly behind her, anger visible on his face. That was mirrored on Shego's face as well, equally pissed off.

On the other hand, Kim looked resolute, and Warmonga looked excited. The alien licked her lips. "You excite me, human. I have not felt this fire in my veins since I killed a Lantern in combat."

The Spear of Athena came flying into Kim's hand. As she twirled the Spear, Kim spoke for the last time. "Get. Off. My. Planet." She punctuated the last word with slamming the Spear into the ice.

"Even if I were not sworn to help the Great Blue, I would still crush your skull to its atoms, human."

Before Kim could answer, Shego's boiling anger spilled over. "That motherfucking idiot is not some Great Fucking Blue!" Her hands burned with green plasma. "His skin is the result of some fucking accident! He is not some hero of prophecy, he is just an asshole who finally lost it completely!"

That one stopped Warmonga. The alien woman turned around and looked at the hovering man. "What is this woman saying?"

Drakken suddenly felt very very cold. "She-she's lying, of course! I am the Great Blue, best and greatest warrior on this planet! You just witnessed my power yourself!"

Kim supplemented Shego's argument. "He was imprisoned for his crimes. He is not some warrior, he can't even protect himself from the real heroes."

Warmonga saw Drakken's composure falter immediately. The alien woman was cunning, and she knew the signs of truth on his face, even though he denied it. Her right hand turned into a fist almost instantly. "You are far too weak to be Great Blue. I thought you might have been holding back, but their words ring true, human."

Drakken saw the tide turning against him. He intensified the air stream shooting out of his hand, and increased altitude. "Look, chill out. I'm blue, I'm great!"

Warmonga's expression turned into a snarl, and she immediately swiped at the hovering man. Drakken was about done with all this. "Well, if you really feel that way, I must be going!" He shot up and flew away.

Warmonga watched him leave, but to Shego's surprise, so did Kim. "You're not gonna follow him?"

Kim reiterated. "I am not here for him, not today." She glanced at the plasma powered woman. "You?"

Shego grimaced. "Waller would kill me if I did."

Warmonga turned to them. Her snarl now focused on them both. "My search for Great Blue continues on, but I won't leave this planet without trophies." She cracked her knuckles. "Both your spines will do. I will use them as back scratchers."

She charged forward, and so did the two women of Earth. Kim countered Warmonga's charge head on with the Spear, while Shego flew slightly above and blasted Warmonga in the face by plasma.

Warmonga screamed in pain, but her swat caught Shego, deflecting her away. As Warmonga was distracted with plasma burns, Kim took her chance, and knocked down the laser handgun out of the alien's hand, then delivering a deadly kick to the sternum of the alien.

Warmonga flew backwards, her face showing burns and an expression of pain. "Aaaarrrrrggggh!" The guttural scream of the alien gave Shego pause as she stood up, but Kim was unfazed.

Warmonga focused on the incoming redhead, but Kim was ready. She was finally getting used to the alien's erratic fighting style. She ducked under Warmonga's wild swing, and delivered a punch with her left hand on the alien's left quadriceps. As Warmonga buckled down in pain, Kim spun around and got behind Warmonga. With her right hand, she placed the shaft of the Spear under Warmonga's chin.

Squeezing to make a point, Kim spoke with utter conviction. "Yield, and leave our planet!"

Warmonga screamed her answer. "NEVER!" She swung her head backwards, connecting with Kim's own. That one caught Kim unaware, and threw her off.

Warmonga turned around, ready to pounce on Kim. Plasma blasts on her side distracted her, eliciting another pained howl. Then, she reactivated her personal shield. Shego's attacks died on that shield, and allowed the metawoman to observe Warmonga's rage. In a charge forward, Warmonga caught Shego, and slammed her down into the icy snow. Shego tried to fight her off, her hands flaring green, but Warmonga caught her left hand and promptly crushed it as she closed her gigantic fist on the human woman's.

She got ready to end Shego, and that's when she was kicked away by Kim. In her pain filled haze, Shego saw Kim's face, sporting a very scary and resolute look.

The redhead heaved her spear, and threw it at the alien. The divine Spear went through the alien's shield and cut off Warmonga's belt as it flew by close to her waist. With the shield dropped. Kim started advancing slowly. "I gave you all the chances you need." Her voice was one of resignation. "I will do what I have to do to protect my planet, and its people."

Warmonga's anger came out screaming, and the alien charged forward again. Kim knew what to do now, how not to engage the alien that possessed superior strength. Warmonga's wild punches and kicks found only air as the cheerleader showcased moves from her non-powered days, dancing around the blows with ease.

Kim finally found her opening. As another one of Warmonga's punches sailed over her head as she ducked, the redhead got inside alien's personal space, and caught the stretched arm. Using it as leverage, Kim spun to the back of the alien, then without looking she slammed her boot on the back of the alien's left knee. As Warmonga was forced on her knees with that, Kim leveled the arm she used as leverage and punched the elbow inwards.

Warmonga's superior alien physique prevented her arm from being broken outright, but the punch still injured her. In pain, she tried to get up and swing with her other arm, but Kim ducked under that as well, this time landing another punch at Warmonga's left ear, dazing her completely. Warmonga fell back on her knees, and tried to swipe again, but with height difference gone, Kim took the advantage, and started landing punch after punch on Warmonga's face.

After a good twenty punches like that, she took a step back, and called the Spear back into her hand. And for the first time in this fight, she saw something.

Warmonga was bleeding at the corners of her mouth. Alien durability only went so far.

Kim held the Spear down low with her left hand, looking at Warmonga, now beaten handily, but somehow still staying on her knees. "You are done, alien. Leave this planet, and never come back." Her voice commanded authority, enough so that Shego nearby could feel the compulsion to obey upon hearing.

But Warmonga simply didn't have such instincts. She coughed the blood out of her mouth, then showed her teeth. "You think you've won, little human?" The guttural chuckle that followed sent shivers down both Kim's and Shego's spines. "You've won nothing. No matter what you do, the full might of the Lorwardian Empire will descend on your pathetic planet! I will bring the armies here, to dance on the ashes of your loved ones, to destroy your planet completely!"

Then she took another swing, but it was close to powerless. Kim blocked it with the Spear, then slashed open Warmonga's right eye with the swing of the Spear's bladed end. "Don't make me do this." Shego could hear it now. The girl was gone, and in her place stood a woman.

A woman not to be trifled.

Warmonga held her face as blood spurted out. "There is no saving you now! I will see to it that all your species dies the most horrifying of deaths, your planet burnt to ashes!" Her cackle turned into laughter. "You won nothing, little human!"

She tried to get up and charge again, but Kim simply swung the Spear, to slash open her left leg, forcing the alien back on her knee.

Warmonga couldn't hold this time, and she fell on her back completely. As Kim stared down at her, the alien got even more giddy, if that was even possible. "For my people, death is to be welcomed. For yours, it's to be feared! You are all weak, and you will all die! Lorwardian Empire will-"

Shego, as she watched, couldn't hold back a gasp. Warmonga's speech stopped suddenly, replaced by a gurgling noise.

And Shego traced the reason for it with her eyes. Kim had stabbed the spear in her hand right into the alien's throat.

Kim saw the maniacal glint in Warmonga's eyes dim slowly, and as much as she wanted to turn away, she couldn't.

The girl forced herself to watch. To remember always, what she had to, what she was forced to do.

"Sometimes, choices must be made. And even if it is out of love… We must be ready to deal death, as a last resort." Diana's words echoed in her mind.

Shego limped slowly next to Kim, as the cheerleader pulled the Spear back and swung it to her side in frustration, screaming in anguish. The redhead fell on her knees, exhausted not by the fight, but by the very act of killing. Her hands fell on her lap, her form limp.

Then she felt Shego's hand on her shoulder. "Kim." The use of her name shook the redhead. Shego had called her by many names, ranging from 'Kimmy' to 'Princess' and anything in between, but never simply her name itself. "You had to do it. She wasn't going to stop. We couldn't leave her alive. You did the right thing."

Kim got on her feet, slowly. "I know! But knowing..."

Shego sighed. "Doesn't make it easier." She was about to do something uncharacteristic, and comfort Kim with a pat on the arm, but her whole body went rigid in fear for reasons unknown.

Kim sensed it too.

Both of them heard clapping from behind. Shego couldn't even turn around, but with Kim holding her arm, she was barely able to. They both saw an old man, standing on the icy snow, looking very pleased. "Excellent performance, my child." The voice of the god of War was full of warmth, and thinly veiled excitement. "Your conviction is not in question. You have proven yourself."

Kim's face was still ashen from what she had to do, but she couldn't afford to be confused right now.

Ares' gaze turned on Shego. "And you, human, no doubt, you have shown valor. And for that…. You may leave."

Shego barely could ask "Wh-who?" before Ares snapped his finger, and she disappeared.

Kim's eyes grew. "Where is she?!"

Ares waved her off. "With her comrades. She did her job, after all. I may hate humans, but I can recognize valor when I see it, no matter how tarnished it is."

The old man walked towards Kim. "And now, I fulfill my end of the bargain."

He placed his hand on Kim's shoulder, then they both disappeared.

Shego appeared out of thin air in front of Waller's desk. The woman was unable to speak for a while, before her panic went away.

Kim found herself in the middle of some jungle. Ares was standing next to her. She looked down, and saw that her Spear was in her hand, in its collapsed form.

"Where the hell are we?" Kim looked around with extreme caution. The jungle around her was definitely a rainforest by the looks of it, and the canopy above was so thick, she failed to see even a piece of the sky above.

Ares motioned to a rather thick patch of vines nearby. "Close to the answers you want."

Kim followed his hand, and saw that there was a dark tunnel behind the vines.

Ares smiled with his old man face again, looking utterly pleased of himself. "I cannot come further, and this is your journey for truth." He chuckled. "May all the answers you want satisfy you, my child."

Then, he dissolved into air as Kim watched.

Kim looked at the vines. She could feel a slight pull at the bottom of her stomach.

She took a deep breath. "It's now or never, Kimmy." She encouraged herself, and walked through the vines, disappearing into the tunnel.

Next Time: Enter Zoom Part II

A.N.: Guys, I know. You thought I abandoned this, and well, it might as well have been. Not gonna lie, life has been odd. My switching of careers is almost done, and I am definitely happier than I ever was in the last decade, so there's that. On the other hand, I will have to move away from U.S. and take a job in Canada soon, so the next two months are still dodgy.

I have about five half written chapters lying around in my hard drive. I will try to complete the next one as soon as I can.

Here's one thing I can promise: I will finish this story, even if it takes me another 4 years to do. I don't leave things unfinished.

A.N.2: Yes, the title is a blatant reference to the very funny Netflix show.
