My dude this is a god story.

I come back every few years to reread this despite having only seen Danny Phantom. I really do love this story. to think I was 12 when it first came outD. thank you for it!

Good comparison of Grissom to Clockwork; I completely agree with you. Glad to see a realistic revealno matter how short it wasand a decent way of changing Vlad for the better.

I really loved this- and I understood the CSI parts pretty well, considering I've been avoiding the show like the plague, so far (not the show's fault, childhood trauma, you could say). But you've actually made me curious about it, this Grissom sounds very intriguing and the others, too. Might bring myself to watch the show after all, some time ;-)

Loved Danny's parts. Pleasantly surprised about where you went with Vlad- I thought it was heading to a final, brutal showdown but I like the direction it went instead: Vlad actually turning out to be a sort of nice guy who'd been screwed by his ghost powers (makes sense, his ghost side was evil) and in need of therapy. Which he takes, willingly. A guy who genuinely cares for Danny and has finally stopped chasing Maddie...

like absolutely fantastically amazing. it was intense, engaging and vivid, I love the way you meshed the world's and how everything sorted out in the end and how serious you took Danny and just. wow. I am mind-blown this is a gorgeous piece of writing and you are a fantastic writer!

Great fic! Absolutely love how Grissom and the team defended Danny throughout and how Danny got back to his family and friends.

Almost feels like a legit episode.

So glad Danny got to clear the air with his parents. AND with Vlad Masters.
Who knew it took networking to help things get better? (Gil Grissom taking an interest in the kid apparently jumpstarted the whole thing.)
Very happy to hear Danny is reunited with his family - and that the Wisconsin Ghost won't be taking potshots at Jack any more. (Do wish the friendship between Jack Fenton and Vlad Masters had continued like this in canon - changed due to Vlad's Hybrid status and the realization he was trying to harm people, but still there)

Ah this is so heartwarming!

This was great. The happy ending everyone, even Vlad, got was touching. I really like the Grissom/Danny relationship. It felt like they could be great friends. Who knows? Maybe Danny could end up being a consultant on paranormal-related investigations. _~
