I already commented but I wanted to say: your writing for the emotional scenes were absolutely stunningly fabulously all good adjectively AMAZING and I strive to be able to convey SUCH STRONG feelings like utter relief, fear, happiness after suffering, pain, friendship, promise, determination, devestation, the whole SHEBANG. Amazing I say. AmaZING

Yoyoyo I am HYPED for part two because this was SOOO well written and also extremely unique plot wise. All the other ones or at least most are the whole Rin getting brought to Gehenna bc of etc etc but this was unique in that 1) Rin learned to control the flames with support of family from a young age and 2) the plot of the original changed accordingly in the most believable way that I daresay is super accurate. It felt as if ANE author wrote a different version because it was pretty legit I'm telling you.

So yeah amazing job with plot, character portrayal, making OCs I actually enjoy reading, changing the plot in a way that makes actual sense, making F. Fujimoto NOT die and be a legit dad, AND MORE.

This is seriously amazing. Your characterizations are all so spot on, especially Ryuji and I live for it. I also live for your OC who I genuinely wish was in the actual plot. Rin's struggle with himself is so heartbreaking and I really feel like it defines a growing part of him where in the manga it isn't touched upon well enough. Not only are your characters accurate, but their growth is natural and really deserving. Shiemi actually deserves to feel like she has grown instead of just the rest of the cast acting like she has grown. The same goes with Yukio. Yukio specifically is one of my favorite interpretations to date simply because you really let him build off his love for his brother and father into how he copes with his struggles of expectation. The brotherly bond is so genuine and is so spot on to how two suffering twins should act. Shiro, being one of the most under appreciated characters ever, actually becomes the father figure that Rin deserves and the manga never really tries to fill, so kudos for that. 10/10.

Looking forward to what you do next

The way Fujimoto explained...is too formal and wordy for kids. I guess you could simplify (my gosh the nightmare of it) to a child's level of understanding. Because even if kids can understand words, they can be confused of it and more often would dismiss the lecture. Also, remember that they're still eleven, no matter how mature they seem, and such talks could end up to be difficult to comprehend... specially with the medical terms.

Rereading this has been a joy! I love what youve done with everyone and i love the deviations and i nearly cried when Rin unsheathed kurikara and aaaaa

Eight years? It feels like just yesterday you posted that first chapter. Seriously though, it’s been like 2 or 3 years since I’ve even logged on here and when I saw that you finished, I had to reread the whole thing. this has been. so wild.
i remember first running into this fic years ago - i can't even remember when - and binging what had been written at that point and loving every second. i stayed up late, i snuck in reading time in school, everything. and then i came to the last chapter at that point and realized it hadnt been updated in a while. oh well. i could still come back to it, read the things that had been written and think about what could have been.
then i checked in one day, about a year ago at this point? i don't exactly remember.
there had been an update.
i hungrily read through it... and maybe read the whole thing from the beginning again. maybe.
now i check in, late at night, only because of a fleeting curiousity, to see a few new chapters and at the end of it perhaps the most wonderful sight my early teen self could have imagined. that this was not done.
i want to thank you so so so much for a. writing this b. putting so much EFFORT into it, and c. for sharing it. it means so much to me that even now, as my interest for blue exorcist is at a relatively low point, i can still read this with as much vigour as ever.
my only regret in this was to not have posted any comments before this. i would not have spent the hours reading this in any other way.
