Okay, the only things I'm going to put on this profile are the why's and what-alls that I read and write.

On Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I enjoy Xander-centric stories with a Faith pairing (and oddly enough Jenny). Crossovers are enjoyed too and my hat is off to those that feed my interests. I have a few reasons for being a Xan-Fan. First and foremost, as a guy Xander is really the only one I can identify with. Giles is too old, Riley is Johnny come lately, Angel I couldn't relate with and Spike was always better as a Villian.

Secondly, because the shows producers never bothered to give him a starring light (no arguements here, they only ever tossed him a bone, which they would then proceed to take away). This means he is a blank slate for any role you cast him in. I mean, Buffy and Willow had major power of their own, what are you going to do? give them more?

And lastly (be warned, incoming rant) I didn't like the way Xander's character development was sacrificed for the other characters growth and for comic relief. Xander was supposed to represent the everyman, the ones without power, in the struggle against darkness. This should mean that he would show the heights of human potential, not the depths of their impotence. You have no idea how annoying it was to find out the producers were going to kill him off halfway through the final season, just so the First could use his image. I mean come on, that's the best they could do for him? After seven years? Good thing they decided that since he was the only Scooby that never walked away from the good fight, that shouldn't be his fate. Instead they removed his eye, killed Anya and destroyed his town and subsequently everything he had managed to build up. Yay team.

On Naruto

What I like about Naruto

His attitude. Everthing else, his personality, his combat style and how he looks at the world comes from his attitude, and I'm ashamed to say that even as a fictional character, Naruto is a better person then I am. I couldn't put up with the shit he does and still be such a nice person.

What I dislike about Naruto

His god-damned idiocy. I don't know why people write stories detailing how Naruto was sabotaged in the academy by the instructors. He was sabotaged, but not by the instructors. The biggest threat to Narutos education was performed by Naruto himself, and worse, he maintains his wilful ignorance no matter how many times it proves to be a mistake.

So that's the why of me. I hope to write stories that, in these small universes we create, make Xander the way he should have been.
