What to say?

Well, I'm a 21 year old Theology Student at the University of Bristol, UK with a specialization in Eastern religions and a particular focus on Daoism. This was the driving force behind the conception of the short story 'Help, my dad's Enlightened' which will make it into print as soon as get the chance. From there, I ended up with the Living Saint idea and things started getting away from me there.

Similar to many folks, I tend to latch onto certain materials for entertainment when I'm in a bad way and Kim Possible, with Ron's antics and pains that I could honestly relate to brought me out of a mild rough patch. From there, I stumbled across the works of Goofmore on Deviantart and from there was inspired by Minnesotamutt and her poster for Reunion until I stumbled into Fanfiction. All I can say is that that story is one of the best written Sci-fi stories I've ever read and if I could attain anywhere near the skill that that G-go displays I would be a happy man.

Thanks to a near pathological dislike of Dr James Timothy Possible (he reminds me of a collection of Fathers I had trouble with in my early dating) and a healthy imagination, I started to wonder what circumstances would bring about Ron's transformation into a man, based on my study of male growth. The character of Ron Conners is perhaps the culmination of that thought process.

Not entirely sure which ones of these will ever be finished, but here's the list of what's being worked on (for reference, I always work at least 5 chapters ahead so in writing means I don't have enough to post):

Ron Conners:

The Ron Conners world is a strange mishmash of mysticism, magic, religion, Kim Possible, life, death, hope and forgiveness. In this version of events, Ron's life changed forever when Kim died during what we know as the opening moments of So The Drama. Blaming himself and pursecuted by Drakken, Shego and James Possible, Ron flees, beginning a journey that brings him to the mantle of hero and shows him the heights of power and depths of dispair. This is a crossover with a story series called Living Saint that i've been working on.

Ron Conners: Life on the Edge: (Complete) This is the introductary story of the Ron Conners universe, charting the events in Ron's life between the moment of Kim's death and the completion of the training of his first apprentice, some ten years later. The story is told by Ron himself and is completely non-linear, but at least you can know when things are happening thanks to the guide in chapter 1.

Ron Conners: What Rons May Come: (In progress) Occuring simultaneously with Life on the Edge, this story tells of Ron's attempts to answer an important question; If Kim's Dead, where the hell is she? He searches through multiple versions of heaven and hell before finally locating her and realising why it was the Paragons never offered to bring her back to life.

Ron Conners: Remember the Mad Dogs: (In progress) After the events of Life on the Edge, Ron discovers an odd and disturbing truth about the past that he must take his apprentice, Damien, and try to fulfil. The fate of his entire family rests on the events of one summer in the Middleton (then Paxton) of 1965 and Damien holds the key. [Parody/Tribute to those most awesome of movies Back to the Future and Remember the Titans.

Elseworlds:

During Ron Conners: Life on the Edge, we encountered a number of worlds that could have been or would have been if Ron had been slightly different. These short stories, tell the tales of Ron and Kim's lives in these worlds. Sometimes they are poigniant, sometimes they are angsty and fairly often they are riven with humour and adventure but most of all, they are tales of love.

Elseworlds: Blue Line, Red String: (back to the drawing board) Ron asked Kim out after the Moodulator incident and things went wrong soon after as she cheated on him. Now, five years later on, Ron is a beat cop by choice, in a strained marriage to Tara and his life goes from troubled to nightmare as Kim comes back into his life.

Elseworlds: I hate Vampires: (in planning) Ron's induction to the mystical comes a lot sooner than in Canon as he encounters the Paragons not long after his exposure to MMP. Things become rapidly more dangerous for him as he and Kim are drawn into the darkness that hides behind normal life and is haunted by monsters. To make matters worse, Kim seems besotted with a Hansom Vampire...
