There's a lot of world building and lore about this AU which I may never get around to explaining within the story. Thus I've decided to include a sort of behind-the-scenes look at anything from different types of spirits to character's abilities.
Enjoy!
Izuku's Quirk
Izuku's quirk is complicated… made even more so by his ghostly abilities. Because of this, it is hard to tell which abilities are because of his quirk and which are because he's a ghost.
Soul Touch:
Izuku can interact and connect with souls (the core of oneself). When Izuku connects with a soul he can feel, see, hear, and touch them. This connection can go both ways if Izuku allows it.
Izuku can also sense a soul's wavelengths, which are feelings and thoughts people are projecting outside of themselves. With more practice his senses can pick up not just the wavelengths the soul is projecting, but what the soul might be internalising as well.
His quirk's effect is dampened by physical barriers such as walls, bodies of water, and human flesh. So a soul inside a body is harder to sense, connect with and interact with than one outside of or without a body.
Soul Touch Levels
Just like with any quirk the more he uses it the better his control and the stronger the quirk gets. Therefore, I have the different levels of progress Izuku's quirk can achieve.
Level 1: Soul Feel
-Aware and attuned to his soul.
-Sense other peoples' projected soul wavelengths.
Level 2: Soul Reveal
-See souls not within their physical form.
-Interact and connect with souls who are outside of or no longer connected to their physical form.
-Project his own soul wavelength for other souls to pick up on.
Level 3: Soul Unbound
-Interact and connect with souls who have had a personal encounter with death or had an out of body experience (literally, their soul was out of their body). These souls have a weakened connection to the World of the Living, thus more attuned with the Realm Beyond. This gives Izuku's quirk, Soul Touch, easier access to them.
-Sense other people's soul internalised wavelengths.
Level 4: ? ? ?
