I love this story and it is exactly what I wanted for a Big Bang Theory fanfic and I am sadden it has not been updated in years. I hope you take it back up again even if it is just to the point of him getting his Nobel Prize or there wedding that is not so far away.

Sad to read that the author passed away. Rest in peace. I just started watching The Big Bang Theory recently, and immediately got into the mood for some fanfiction. I've found a few stories that I really love, but there have been always a feeling that something was missing. When I read this story, I finally realized what was missing, it's the originality, the AU-ness if you will. There have been a few stories that I've read that I could call AU, but not in every aspect that I care. But this one is really good, the differences in characters, background story, romance, and the science/career are really refreshing. I need those after the pletora of oneshots, canon compliants, and Sheldon/Penny stories. I would really love to see this story get finished. I think it can be ended in 3 chapters, 5 tops. If I have a sliver of talent in writing I would try it myself to honor the late author, but there's nothing I can do with that. The only hope we can have is for someone who has the talent to do this story and the late author justice to pick up this story where it was left off and finish it. If someone try/tried, please let me know.

I just found this gem...I am horribly sad the author is not longer here with us to continue the wonderful works they have shared with us. Is anyone thinking of continuing this or other stories ad a tribute? I would definitely love to have the characters in this universe have the ending they deserve even if know one will ever know for sure what the true author would have had in mind. RIP

Excellent even as I re-read this story I am still enthralled with how a slight change in events can display an entirely new Penny-Leonard romance.
