it's interesting once at a while to read a story from the perspective of the hat. and it's one of the better ones I read.
while reading I could help to wonder why harry didn't want to go Griffendor. what happened different from canon for that to happen. maybe ur muse can inspire u to flesh out that a bit more?

I feel the addition of so many OC’s was unnecessary and distracted from the plot. While reading the hat’s opinions was entertaining to begin with, it quickly grew tiresome, which was helped along by the introduction of so many characters that no one could give two cracks about.

Interesting sorting. You've left a lot of room for either making this more than a one-shot. I personally would like to see what Albus does and how Harry and Hermione handle being sorted into House Slytherin. Ofcourse, I want to see how Albus reacts the next morning or that night. lol

I'll start by saying I've read this before and enjoyed it. Then continue with a recommendation. Try reading the story A Chaotic Sorting. It's quite funny. Harry goes back in time to his first year sorting and takes control of the hat and sorts students into houses they would never have been otherwise. The hat went right along with it enjoying the chaos Harry was causing. Harry placed Ronald in Slytherin with Draco. Oh, the fun he had! Or should that be they had? The hat did willingly go right along with everything Harry said mentally to it. Of course, Fumblemort wasn't happy with any of it. Ron was so happy with being in Slytherin that he refused to sit at the table until told do it or go home. It just like this was a fun short read. Unfortunately, there are so very few of these type stories. I'd love to get other authors' points of view on this theme. Maybe even get them to play off each other's stories.

I wish there was a sequel...
