It’s incredibly hard to write from a side character’s point of view, especially a character as complex and hilarious as McGonagall. It’s even harder to write comedy without it feeling forced. But seriously, you nailed it. I really do hope you continue to write amazing stories such as this one. I also really liked how you pretty much completely left out Harry Potter. It’s nice to see a character like McGonagall or the Slytherins having the spotlight. It’s even nicer to see the Slytherins in a sympathetic light that gave them more dimension and complexity, instead of the usual “all Slytherins are Deatheater wannabes and absolutely spoiled prats” mantra. So thank you for writing something so magnificent that I will definitely be rereading, and thank you for bringing a new meaning to Professor McGonagall! |
