Author has written 9 stories for Kim Possible.

It's been ages since I've written *any* fanfiction, but after receiving an email requesting one of my old stories from back in the day, and a request for the URL to my website, I figured I'd break down and set one up, since I've quit EverQuest and find myself with a wonderful amount of potential writing time suddenly available.

In the past, I've written "Gene Roddenbery's Andromeda," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "Buffy: the Vampire Slayer," "The X-Files," and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" fanfics (most of which are still available online from archives tied to the shows in question), and right now I've also got a number of stories from these fandoms in various degrees of completion and / or development - though none of these are even close to being completed, despite the age of the stories. At the moment, however, the fandom I'm currently enjoying and that is churning the creative juices is "Disney's Kim Possible". I've got about 4 or 5 story ideas based on the show, with scenes / plotlines / etc. percolating in my mind, but frankly, my writing output tends to be *very* slow (heck, it's taken me three hours just writing this profile, what with the rewrites, polishing, and editing). My magnum opus of X:WP fandom, "Deus ex Gabrielle," took literally years to complete (I think I started it in the hiatus between seasons 2 and 3, and I finished it about a year or two after the series ended, which should give you some idea of the timescale involved), so the story ideas I've got in mind may never actually make it to completion, but I'll give it a shot.

As an introduction, the stories I write tend to fall into one of a few categories :

1) PWP Smut (Sadly, my inclination to write this type has all but vanished... it's hell getting older... those wouldn't be on this site, anyway, so don't bother looking for such here)
2)A look at odd pairings (canonical or non) from a fandom (be it a PWP or not) (I once wrote a PWP about Ephiny and Phantes, for those who are familiar with the Xena/Herc universes, and one about Iolaus^2 and a mermaid, to give you an idea of what I mean by this), which is kind of interesting (to me anyway), since I'll read just about *any* pairing, whether I personally see it as likely or not, *if* the story sells it as being possible, or if the story appeals enough independently of such. One of the best Andromeda stories I've ever read was Harper / Dylan slash ... which I personally find very unlikely (just in terms of the dynamics of the show, even taking into account that line of Harper's in episode 2 describing Dylan as being like 'a Greek God,' but I digress), and my own leanings towards Harper/Trance. I've read enough stories from enough fandoms (and had enough problems writing my own) to have a great deal of appreciation for *any* well written story, no matter if it's slash / het / femmeslash / yaoi / yuri / lemon / Kigo / etc. or any other tag you happen to pin on it.
3) Episode twists / episode tags (I've seen this type called different things, depending on the fandom), where either the outcome of an episode is modified, or an episode or some set of events from an episode is reinterpreted to suit the needs of an alternative viewpoint.
4) Alternate universe stories, where something in the canonical storyline of a series is modified, and the universe of the show has developed in a different way.

Most of the story ideas I have for KP are some mixture of types 3 & 4 - that is, a twist on an episode creates an alternate timeline / storyline which may or may not resolve back into the canonical universe. I tend to enjoy the underlying mythology of a series more than any given episode, and twisting one aspect of those fundamental rules / laws / etc. while retaining all the others is usually pretty entertaining as you try to figure out all the implications of one seemingly minor alteration in continuity. For example, at the end of "Mind Games," what would have happened if the Kimmunicator's battery wasn't powerful enough to run Drakken's machine? (I'm trying to be deliberately vague here, in order to avoid spoilers, as an FYI. This example is, btw, one of the story ideas I've got, but it's not one of (probably, anyway) the most likely to be worked on first).

I freely admit to an idiosyncratic writing style. I tend to use complicated sentences (I give the run on sentence finder fits, in fact), and I tend to use ellipses (...) too much for strictly proper usage. I also tend to write based on a mental framing of my story as though it were being aired as an episode, so story construction can occasionally be a bit too linear or explicitly detailed. I hope that you persevere despite this and enjoy them.

One final note : I tend to make the central characters in my stories experience very bad things, occasionally bad enough for me to tag the story as dark, but it's never gratuitous; it's always done in the interests of the story. I'm not sure why this is, but I blame this quirk on the fact that way back in the dark days before the original Gossamer archive site existed - back when Season 1 was airing and I was still in high school... a scary thought in itself... the first fandom I read exhaustively was "The X-Files." And let me tell you, if there was a horrific thing that could be done to Mulder, be it by aliens, his dad, Cancer Man, his insanity, the Conspiracy, serial killers, Krychek, Scully, someone else, or any combination thereof, then chances are there's a dozen stories about it being done to him. Repeatedly. And I probably read all of them. Fortunately, as another quirk, I give detailed disclaimers so you can decide if a given story isn't your cup of tea..

Enjoy!
