1ttrobinson chapter 82 . 6/23 What happened to Porthos? He was on Enterprise when they hijacked her. |
Guest chapter 125 . 5/24 I loved this book. Excellent writing. My mind is now at peace over Trip and Tpol. |
May 2020 chapter 125 . 5/3 This was an excellent work & I will always hope for a sequel.***Thankfully there have been remarkably few grammar errors, misspellings, & punctuation errors. I have noticed that you do use "like" when you should use "as." There are a few misspellings that may actually be typos but there were still a few misspelled words. With just a small amount of professional editing this story is ready for commercial publishing. In the early 1980's a large number of authorized but non-canon Star Trek novels began appearing on bookshelves. At that time there was only TOS, Animated (many good stories but non-canon), and one (possibly 2?) movies. That's all that the fans had. There were no old-style printed fanzines in my area. This is a very detailed labor of love. You obviously care very much for T&T and it shows. I hope you had and will continue to have success in your Art. Thank-you. Once again I wish that the Army had a catchy Latin motto. |
Guest chapter 123 . 5/3 *Heavy sigh* This story is almost over and already it may be branching off into other directions. To be honest there is a small part of me that would like to see T&T to have some personal time and reacclimate themselves into an ostensibly civilized society, perhaps even see if they can have a baby. However, that's my problem and no one else's. The story belongs to the author and decides the direction of the story. |
Guest chapter 108 . 5/3 Ok, so, there's STILL a younger Enterprise crew wandering around somewhere out there? |
Guest chapter 106 . 5/3 Hmmm. So T'Pol misses Trip's gregarious and rambunctious. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that he has done the majority of the behavioral changes. It also seems to me that all of his Ace Vulcan Operative training has also made a definite contribution. Certain things are essentially the same but the human level joie de vivre (spelling?) is something she unknowingly treasured. I suspect that T'Pol needs to make a few changes in her own behavior (at least when T&T are in private) before some of the "old" Trip is resurrected. Having said all that, this T'Pol is coming off as a little shallow. Once again, Trip has made the majority of the sacrifices. |
Guest chapter 105 . 5/3 I've eaten in USAF mess halls and hospital dining halls and I've eaten in Army mess halls and hospital dining facilities. Air Force food is much better. I don't know why. In my last ARNG unit I got food poisoning. Twice. Same cook (I think). |
Guest chapter 103 . 5/3 I'm kind of surprised that Trip didn't say something like "T'Pol is the Captain, I'm the 1st Officer and we're Bonded Mates." There are some overconfident people that will never understand that "not interested" means just that. Just my opinion. |
Guest chapter 100 . 5/3 Krapp Kinkson of the Klunk tribe. If T&T stay long enough I suppose that they will find a tribe of Schidthedds and possibly even Aashohlls.*** I think that I still have a copy of that movie somewhere. There is a fanfilm on YouTube as well. |
Guest chapter 98 . 5/3 Well, I suppose that some derivative of the age-regression therapy MIGHT help Trip's aging process to slow down enough to match T'Pol's life span. Hm, since human males DON'T have a 7-year mating cycle would T'Pol have any objection to have 2 or 3 DOZEN kids? That might be a heck of a shock to the human side of the Tucker clan...eventually. The Vulcan government would have an extremely hard time ignoring 36 hybrids (PLUS their own kids!)! Hm, again-some writers have decided that T'Pol is a direct descendant of Surak. With 36 kids, a couple of hundred grandkids, and thousands of great-grandkids the Vulcan government might be on their knees begging the Vulcan branch of the Tucker family to, ah, slow down a bit. Too many descendants of Surak could be worse than too few. OH, what if this same family decided that all descendants must aiways be 50-50 Human-Vulcan? Ok, I've probably taken your vision much too far. |
Guest chapter 97 . 5/3 I'm kinda-sorta-almost somewhat surprised that your E2 Jon & Erika didn't try a little bit harder to instill a bit more Vulcanesque behavior in young Soval...unless they didn't want to as emotional revenge. Couldn't your E2 Jon & Erika have kids of their own? As I have a degree in biology I HAVE to ask: as Soval was "youthening" where did all of the now excess body tissues go? I would be amused at even so much as a minimally plausible answer just for "S's and G's." |
Guest chapter 96 . 5/3 The MINNOW? Is the Professor the chief science officer? Is Mary Ann the chief cook? There really and truly was a "Gilligan's Planet" Saturday morning cartoon somewhere around 45 years ago. I don't know if I've got the name correct. I THINK that, maybe, some of the original cast MIGHT have reprised their voices but that will require research. It would be just terrible if someone named Gilligan was Minnow's 1st Officer (aka 1st Mate). You could have the start of a sequel here! |
Guest chapter 95 . 5/3 May 2020-Human genetic engineering is still much more of a dream than a reality. We know that it can be done because viral infections do it all the time. The "Eugenics War/s" storyline implies that at some point incredible (almost magical) breakthroughs will happen. It might be argued that "natural selection" is a form of "natural eugenics." There have almost always been some survivors to the various "plagues" in human history. They survived because they had some level of natural resistance and in ideal circumstances it would be passed on to future generations. The intentional breeding of domesticated plants and animals is arguably another type of eugenics. Some consider a standard human generation to be about 25 years in length. Using modern commercial genetic testing it would be at least minimally possible to "breed" better humans but it MIGHT take hundreds of years before the human genetic maximum is reached. So, no "Captain Americas" by that route alone. Until then the most that we can can do is marry someone that is all-around better (including morally!) than we are. |
Guest chapter 94 . 5/3 42? Did everyone bring a towel? |
Guest chapter 93 . 5/3 A mere 30-plus chapters remain. Will T'Pol be cured of Pa'nar Syndrome? Will T&T's bond be formally recognized? Will their ancient-ish ship ever be fully repaired? Will Trip ever stop talking like a damn robot and go back to the fun-loving version that T'Pol wants and needs? For these and other answers tune in-What am I saying? Considering the depth and breadth of your story I'm beginning to wonder if 30 chapters is enough to answer these and other questions. |
