Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, A song of Ice and Fire, and Twilight. Hello! If you have Wattpad, you can find me there as well under Nilamalin Random Naruto related rant: I never understand why people who write ANBU!Naruto fics usually assign him a fox/kitsune mask and code name. Sure you may have a story of how the Sandaime had kept that particular mask in storage for him because it had been his mother's or something like that, but in the end the biggest point of the ANBU is not necessarily to be the strongest fighters in the village, and definitely not the most famous. As I see it the ANBU forces defining point is secrecy. The enemy will be hard-pressed to deal with someone whom they know nothing about. Not their name. Not their appearance. Definitely not their powers. I also consider the ANBU to be more likely to stab you in the back after a successful infiltration rather than face you in an all out battle where their powers will be on display to the masses and someone is likely to have a chance of figuring out their power and countering it. It's even in their name, the English translation of the name is Special Assassination and Tactical Squad. Just how does that secrecy translate into giving someone a mask that represents the very thing that made 99% of the village hate said individual? The ANBU wear their masks in the village to conceal their identities, not to shout them out for the world to see. I had some more points, but dinner happened so I forgot-_-' NATIONAL LEVELS OF ALERT - THREATS TO EUROPE The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country's military capability. Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides." The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose." Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels . The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy. Australia , meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level. Regards, And as a final thought - Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC. (Shoot, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair.) On a bag of Frito's -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special)? On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap," (and that would be how??...) On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion). On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down." (well...duh, a bit late, huh)! On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought??...) On packaging for a Rowena iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time)? On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.) On Nytol Sleep Aid -- "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because??...) On most brands of Christmas lights -- "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to...what)? On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious) On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, ooh...fly Delta? (Do they even serve nuts in air planes? What about the allergic people?? It's not like they can go outside to get fresh air or something!)) On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." (I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.) On a Swedish chainsaw -- "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands." (Oh my ..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?) On a Korean kitchen knife -- "Warning: keep out of children." (hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...) Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity. Lee Jordan was finding it difficult not to take sides. "Your aunt and uncle will be proud, though, won't they?" said Hermione as they got off the train and joined the crowd thronging toward the enchanted barrier. "When they hear what you did this year?" "What's that?" he snarled, staring at the envelope Harry was still clutching in his hand. "If it's another form for me to sign, you've got another -" I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me. Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. Spoken by Harry Potter. Mr. Moony presents his compliments to Professor Snape, and begs him to keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business. My eyes aren't glistening with the ghosts of my past. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Spoken by Harry Potter. "Excellent." said Lupin, looking up as Tonks and Harry entered. "We've got about a minute, I think. We should get out into the garden so we're ready. Harry, I've left a letter telling your aunt and uncle not to worry -" "Who's Kreacher?" "Harry, don't go picking a row with Malfoy, don't forget, he's a prefect now, he could make life difficult for you..." "Do you remember me telling you we are practising non-verbal spells, Potter?" So, people, let's try to calm down a bit. Things are bad enough without inventing stuff as well. For instance, this new idea that You-Know-Who can kill with a single glance from his eyes. That's a Basilisk, listeners. One simple test: check whether the thing that’s glaring at you has got legs. If it has, it's safe to look into its eyes, although if it really is You-Know-Who, that's still likely to be the last thing you ever do. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
