Author has written 6 stories for Skip Beat!, Naruto, and Harry Potter. Teacher by trade, writer by night. I write so much better in the mornings, so I wish I could switch the times XD No go, though. Here are the stories I've written and their current statuses. \ (*ヮ*) / \ (*ヮ*) / \ (*ヮ*) / \ (*ヮ*) / \ (*ヮ*) / Here Be Dragons [Stunning cover art by Kmichie! Check out her stuff on tumblr - kmichiedreams.] 7.30.19 - I'm actively writing this fanfic, which takes place in the world of Silver Queen's Dreaming of Sunshine. 1.12.20 - I said in the last chapter that I was hoping for a late December update. The next update *is* coming. I'm working on it whenever I can spare a minute, but I unexpectedly interviewed for and accepted a new job with a steep learning curve. I'm wiped out by 5pm every day. This story is not abandoned. 3.27.20 - Wow, I never thought I'd go so long without updating. I ended up adding significant duties onto my new job, so I've basically been working 11-hour days since the end of January. Due to the quarantine, my schedule has lightened. I'm now actively working on the story again. 4.9.20 - Well, that was a short run. My workload suddenly exploded again. At least I got a little more written? Sirius Black: Therapy Dog 7.30.19 - This is pure fun for me. I'll update when the mood strikes me. No Shadows Without the Sun [Complete] 9.16.19 - I've got thoughts about an epilogue. Currently I'm working on Here Be Dragons, but if I need a break from it, I might write the epilogue. 9.16.19 - Violet-skya created fanart for Shikako and Naruto! Check out her DeviantArt account. 12.4.19 - JuPMod on DeviantArt created a beautiful fanart of Naruto and Shikako! The Lost Namikaze 7.30.19 - The idea for this story was one of those lightning bolt moments. I felt compelled to write the first chapter immediately after the plot struck me. I rode that high and cranked out several chapters, but I basically didn't plot a thing. Hence, it fizzled. I still like the premise of Lost Namikaze, so I might return to it one day. Sealmaster of Konoha [Abandoned] 6.4.19 - Um...yeah, so the short story is that I had a lot of trouble connecting some stuff in the next chapter. Then I had two weddings and a funeral to attend with traveling associated with all three. Then I came back to the chapter. Then I left it again, came back, etc. Finally I abandoned it. The long story is that all of the above happened. I struggled and struggled with the update. Cut it apart, rewrote, re-brainstormed...Basically, I had envisioned things going a certain way, and when they wouldn't I tried other stuff and kind of hated everything. So I took a really long break. I moved to a different continent for job and travel purposes. I grew up a bit more and reread the story, and I see problems with it - problems that I always knew were there, but that I could shrug off as being silly things that didn't really matter. However. I hate trope of angsty, hot male character winning the sympathy and support of just about everyone and getting the girl after being an ass who can't control his temper and - and it took me a while to realize that I had pushed Sasuke into that trope. To build conflict and tension, I let his character spin out into this thing I had never intended. If it was just that problem, I could have pushed through and completed the fanfiction, but the real sin was that, to have Naruto and Sasuke end up together, Naruto would have had to bend and make excuses for him, thereby reinforcing tropes that I can't stand. I cannot write that. I've considered various ways to rectify the problem, including editing the story, particularly the latter chapters. I've considered alternate endings that don't have Naruto fall into the trope-trap, but that causes many of the basic premises from early on in the story to become obsolete. The story can be finished, but the thought of rewriting and reworking the story to suit the various iterations I envisioned exhausted me. Hence, Sealmaster is abandoned unless some otherworldly compulsion to complete it sweeps over me. This was some of my earliest published writing, and your support and reviews thrilled me to the core. Thank you! Battle Armor [Abandoned] 7.30.19 - Never gonna continue this one. It was quite literally the first writing I ever showed anyone else. My writing has changed so much since I began, and I've also lost interest in Skip Beat itself so... |
