This story is beyond words, I adore fae-like Bilbo and his mischievousness. And Thorin is so pigheaded yet you can see the underlying *grudging respect beneath. I love how you've taken the powers of Tom Bombadil and twisted and explored them into something widespread and natural, and that Bilbo can somehow use them and commune with nature. I can't wait to see what happens next, I can only imagine when they finally reach Smaug he won't know what hit him.

Absolutely in love with this story. I cannot believe the detail and plot twists. You are truly a gifted writer. I do often feel like it's taking too long to get out of the Shire, and must admit that I really didn't enjoy this last chapter. Skipped through most of it. It wasn't anything like the others, and just didn't hold my interest. I was often confused, impatient and frustrated, which I wasn't for your other chapters. There was just something different and strange with how you wrote it, and it felt stagnant, like the story didn't really go anywhere yet threw a ton of information at you in a complexing way. I would love to get on with the story a bit, start the actual journey. Nonetheless, this is one of the best and funniest stories I've found on FFnet. I'm truly in love with it, and am hoping you intend to continue. I'd really love to see more Bilbo and Thorin POV. It moves around a lot, and you do an excellent job of it. Although, I would prefer to see more of the main two characters, just a bit. Also, over 100k words and the quest hasn't started yet. You've had good events, but it's starting to drag on a bit.

I keep going back to read Bilbo's comments about the contract. The way you worded it was utterly brilliant, and exactly right! I have never read a fic who managed to capture and articulate so well everything wrong with it. Additionally, what Bilbo says to Thorin the first night at the table is fantastic! Everything I've always thought dished right up so smoothly. You are such an incredible writer it just blows me away. I've actually read thousands of fics on this site and AO3 religiously for more than a decade. There are so many great stories, but very few of them are as captivating as this one. You have a way of drawing your reader in and making them forget about the world. At least, that's how I felt. I'm so eager to read more of this story. Please update again soon!
