A couple mental disorders you might come across:

1. Schizophrenia: a mental disorder that is mostly known for delusions and hallucinations. However, most people don't know that Schizophrenia can also cause people to be catatonic or have sporadic movements. People with Schizophrenia may have emotions that are inappropriate for the situation. For example, laughing a funeral. They may also have a hard time communicating.

2. Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and formally known as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD): DID is when the mind can't handle trauma so it dissociates with the person, creating a separate identity. The person can "switch" personalities in a minute to even a day. DID is NOT Schizophrenia.

3. Psychopathy: People who use manipulation, violence, and intimidation to control others and satisfy selfish needs. They can be intelligent and charismatic, but display a chronic ability to feel guilt, remorse, or anxiety about what they have done. They have the inability to feel fear and other emotions, causing them to be indifferent other people's emotions. They are focused on short-term goals, which makes them unable to catch other people's discomfort or fear.
4. Sociopathy: They are egocentric and get self-esteem from power, personal gain, or pleasure. They set goals on personal gratification, without regard to whether these goals are legal and/or ethical. They lack empathy and don't care about hurting others. They can't have normal relationships because they might exploit them by: deceit, coercion, control by dominance, and/or control by intimidation.
