I've lost count of how many dares are left, but I think there's at least one more, right? I can't tell if there's going to be a heart-to-heart then the last dare(s) to reach closure, or if there'll be s story-shift away from the dares and on to Snake - he did escape after all, there's always a chance he'll work out the identity if the second Kid like he did the very first
Either way, I look forward to it!

In all seriousness, I thought this was hilarious, because if Kaito were thinking straight he would have realized that Shinichi meant something else, but he's a guy with a crush, so of course he didn't. Still, I would think that Shinichi wouldn't be dense enough to use that wording. (Though I'm not often.)

It was interesting to me that Shinichi identified the kiss as something Kaito "wanted" instead of something to "mess with him". You do have to wonder just how deep Kaito's feelings for Shinichi go. He doesn't do a lot of soul searching. More like a "I'm petty and I know it, but Shinichi and Aoko are MY love interests, darn it! Hands off Hakuba!" Part of that may just be that he thinks that Aoko is more likely to return his feelings, or he could see Aoko as Kaito's love interest and Shinichi as KID's love interest.
Or I could just be reading too much into this. But I think it's fun/funny.

Kaito was still really in shock so I guess he didn't really have the chance to enjoy the kiss. (Fair's fair Kaito, Hakuba wasn't expecting his kiss either!)

Kaito, you shouldn't be so surprised at Shinichi knowing as much as he does since you let him check gems and the like. Of course he'll make deductions, it's what he DOES!

...Murder happens during a dare... Shinichi wants to solve the murder, Kaito is practically holding him back because "Hakuba's here! You're not supposed to be here! Hakuba will handle it! Don't you DARE go out there and clue him into KID 2.0!"
And... Now I feel like a dark Kaito will give him will be to have Shinichi call Kaito by his first name instead of Kuroba-san... Not a full dare, but one of those tacked on dares for when he doesn't complete a dare, since you've never had one of those.

Oh my, that did escalate! Considering he's learning Kaitos secret, it's only fair that the thief winds up learning his. However, the world isn't always fair, and that can be left untouched for the rest of eternity.

You know, I have an inspiring detective in some of my classes...can't keep their nose out of other people's business! And a real goodie two-shoes too...
