Aww, that was really sweet. I also thought it was very interesting to include that but about Dash because it does explain a lot of Lancer's actions before his big episode.

I always love reading your stories. They're well thought-out and the characterization and pacing are all wonderfully fresh. I love the details you include and the way they build the story, like the way the Fenton's react to Danny's grades. I also enjoy that this isn't a complete reveal.

As a teacher now, and having had to deal with one case where CPS had to intervene, I've actually had a oneshot along incredibly similar lines sitting in one of my folders for while. Couldn't decide if I should fit it into my oneshot collection or let it stand on its own. This is probably going to prompt me to refine and post it.

My only mildly negative criticism - when you get a chance, leaf through this. There are a few typos scattered throughout.

So well written! I tried years ago to do a fanfic from Lancer's perspective (don't read it, I was a terrible writer haha) and you just blew it all away with such beautifully logical and never boring prose that reached right into a troubled teacher's mind and spread it on canvas. It's the story I wish I'd written and so much more. LOVE it.

Is this a oneshot? I'm guessing it is, but it seems like it'd be a good story too if you wanted to expand it.

This fic alone gave me a new appreciation for Lancer. He is a teacher and really does care for his students, even if it doesn't seem like it on the surface. His first conclusion that Danny might be experiencing abuse is a realistic one and something that could really happen.

My gosh... This... This is very realistic, if the series went on to focus on this, your story would fit right in. *Slow claps*
