You didn't think early updates would last did you? Anyway let's get right to it. This was requested by queenmancilla13 who wanted a Hotch and Garcia story. This has a decent following so couldn't ignore it.

Fanfiction Trauma

Chapter 39: Hotch/Garcia (Hotcia? Penron? Seriously what are these ship names?)

"No, no, no!" Will cried out in agony. "It's happened again God damn it! What year is it!?"

"Oh boy, his symptoms are showing again," Kevin exclaimed with worry. "That can't be good."

"Will, sweetheart, look at me," JJ said, clutching his shaking arms. "It's Fanfiction dot com messing with you. It's only been a few minutes since the last story. Remember? It was the Rossi and Hotch slash story."

"Pft, if that's what you want to call it," Morgan grumbled, still obviously annoyed that it had minimal slash compared to the ones he'd been in.

Will paused to think. "Oh yeah I remember! The one that promised to have Alex in it but didn't until the very end!" He frowned moments later. "I also remember Emily saying she'd punch me if I said we'd been here for years... but I'm sure she was kidding."

Meanwhile Blake sulked in the emo corner. "Am I not that popular?"

"Aw come on, cheer up hotshot," Garcia began in a soothing tone. "It was just a stupid story anyway."

"In fairness," Emily interjected. "It wasn't all that bad you know. Besides the shades of slash it wasn't too OOC."

Rossi raised a brow. "Did you forget the part where my character asked Aaron out?"

"I did say without the slash."

"It wasn't terribly written either," Seaver added. "It also had some semblance of a plot. Unlike the countless others."

"What? Have you guys lost it?" Morgan spat. "The summary clearly said slash and it didn't have any. That my friends is called click bait."

"Not to mention it had an extremely misleading title." Reid added.

"You two are just upset I didn't get the same slash reception you always get." Rossi countered, wearing the biggest smirk in the history of biggest smirks.

The two froze as if caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

"Fanfiction has made you predictable boys."

"Shut up Rossi." Morgan grumbled, knowing full well that it was possibly the lamest comeback ever.

"Wanna know what really made it great?" Kevin asked. "It had no bashing of me or Will."

"In fact all our guys made minimal appearances, like we were invisible." Will said before wincing when he noticed Blake twitch. "Ouch, too soon I think."

Garcia glared at him. "Yeah, totally not helping Willy."

JJ approached Blake and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Don't let it get to you. Just because you aren't popular in this section of Fanfiction dot net doesn't mean you aren't important."

Morgan grinned. "Trust me, be glad for your lack of inclusion."

Kevin nodded. "This section is cancer. My character has been shot and bashed so many times that it wouldn't surprise me if these authors were psychos."

"They might have even paired you up with someone here, which is pretty weird." Reid exclaimed. "And as someone who has been paired with almost everyone in this room, I can say it really isn't pretty."

Hotch extended his hand out for her. "Blake, you are a vital member of the BAU. That's worth more than any fiction this site can produce."

Blake sniffed and gazed at their faces. "Thank you guys." She took Hotch's hand and stood up. "I don't know how something like a fanfiction story could get me so down. But I'm fine now."

Garcia tossed her the bottle. "That's our girl."

One by one they all took their seats.

"I'm going to be honest here," Morgan started while taking his seat. "If it doesn't land on me I'm flinging this thing out the window."

Emily rolled her eyes. "You're such a baby Derek."

"You're one to talk. You've been eying this thing like Gollum did the ring."

Will flinched. "Do me a favor and don't mention anything Lord of the Rings related please. I'm having some unpleasant flashbacks."

Blake took that as her cue to spin the bottle.

Everyone tensed in anticipation, holding their breath.

"It's slowing down," Kevin said as he mentally prayed it landed on him.

Then it stopped.

On Blake again.

"Screw this!" Morgan snapped in exasperation; he snatched the bottle off the floor and made his way to the window.

"Don't Derek! That needs to be properly recycled!" Reid said as he clutched Morgan's leg. But Morgan was relentless and showed no signs of stopping. This led to Reid being dragged comically along the floor.

"Damn it Reid I'm tossing this thing out whether you like it or not. Clearly it's been rigged by someone here."

Reid turned to his Unit Chief with pleading eyes. "I need your help Hotch!"

Hotch sighed. He'd never seen this much petulant behavior. "Morgan, hand me the bottle."

The agent was baffled. "You can't be serious Hotch! You're taking his side over me?"

Being Unit Chief was no cake walk. "I am not taking his side. I will solve this so that it satisfies everyone."

Reluctantly Morgan handed him the bottle. "Fine."

Hotch grabbed another one of the empty bottles lying on the ground. "From now on we'll use this one. Fair?"

"Yeah, thanks Hotch."

"Now," Hotch said, facing Blake. "If you don't mind Blake, would it be possible to spin the bottle again?"

"Sure thing Hotch."

He was tempted to throw his arms around her in sheer jubilation. It was good to see fanfiction hadn't completely ruined her maturity. It was bad enough having to baby majority of the people in the room.

Once again they huddled in a circle and waited for the bottle to stop spinning.

It landed on Garcia.

"Oh yeah!" She cheered.

"It's not the bottle..." Morgan muttered as he came to a startling realization. He clutched the closest thing next to him which was Seaver. "It's not the bottle. It's me."

"Uh what?"

"I'm what's wrong... I cruelly blamed the bottle when it's been me all along."

"Okay...?"

"Yeah I'm gonna go and find us a story now." Garcia exclaimed when she noticed Morgan's weirdness.

"That'd be nice," Seaver replied while she pried out of Morgan's death grip. "Jesus, settle down."

"How can I? I've been living a lie all my life..."

"You'll get your turn Morgan; it's only a matter of time," Seaver tried again in an effort to console him.

"You think?"

Lightly she patted his shoulder. "No doubt in my mind."

"Got one guys," Garcia called.

"Is this the first normal username we've encountered?" Rossi asked. "Can't seem to remember for some reason."

Will pondered for a moment. "Well it has been years since we've— Oof!" He clutched his stomach where Emily had just punched him. "Damn it Emily I thought you were joking about that!"

"Nope."

Summary: Everyone in the BAU is used to Garcia and Derek always flirting, but

"I swear if this is a bashing story..." Kevin groaned.

one specific member of the team can't help but wonder if there's more.

Blake chuckled. "Didn't we all think that at some point?"

That's when we throw Hotch into the picture. Not just any Hotch but a jealous Aaron Hotchner!

Garcia gulped. "Oops..."

Hotch exhaled in frustration. "Garcia, really?"

"Sorry Sir! I fudged up big time! I just put our names in and clicked the first one that appeared..."

"Just get it over with."

So without further ado let's begin.

Hotch was just about to head into his office when he heard an ongoing conversation. It wasn't hard to tell who it was.

"How's my baby girl?"

"Well much better now that you're back hot stuff. What can I do for you?"

"Whoa now, don't go asking me that when we're in public!" He laughed. "There are children here!"

Hotch rolled his eyes and walked back to his office, slamming the door in the process. He was getting exhausted with their flirting. Angrily he punched the wall.

"Yeesh, someone has anger management issues." Rossi joked.

The ironic part was that every other girl in the building seemed to have their eyes on himself. Including Emily

"Fuck sake."

and even a married JJ.

Will shot JJ a look.

"Obviously it's not true Will. Do I have to reassure you every time our status is questioned?"

"Right, sorry hun. It's just Fanfiction dot net has messed with my head a bit. Probably contracted Spencer's fanfiction-itis."

But Hotch had to have feelings for the one woman who didn't. Oh how cruel irony could be.

Emily scoffed. "Don't I know it."

And so he did what he's been doing since he first realized he felt this way, he buried himself in his work.

He wasn't so sure how this happened. He was the team leader and he knew he should not have feelings for a fellow agent. But it was impossible to keep away. She was the light to the darkness he saw on a daily basis. Without her he was sure the team would crumble. Her laughs and jokes were always a welcome sight. Penelope Garcia was incredibly unique and he wished that never changed.

Garcia blushed. "That's pretty flattering in all honesty Sir."

"To be fair, that part of the story is true. It isn't just my character who feels that way." Hotch replied, relieved that at least some part of this story was genuine.

The tech smiled to herself sheepishly.

The following day was no different. Derek and her were back at it again. He was fuming on the inside while keeping a calm face as he heard Dave telling them to get a room. Did he have to separate those two? Perhaps having them reassigned might finally end this.

"OOC much?" Seaver said.

Rossi chuckled a bit. "Not to mention a bit hypocritical considering Aaron has feelings for Penelope as well."

"My character you mean," Hotch corrected him.

Angrily he made his way over for a coffee. A part of him wished he had something stronger than mere coffee. At least then he'd be able to tune out Derek's annoying voice.

"Hey!"

What did she see in him? He was self-centered, egotistical, and a selfish—

"Wait am I being character bashed?"

jerk who thought every woman belonged to him. Sadly the one woman Hotch wanted was wrapped around his finger too. Who was he kidding? He didn't have a chance in hell with Penelope anyway. He was too damaged for her. Plus all the baggage he carried wasn't exactly appealing. In fact he wouldn't wish himself upon anyone.

Not daring to look back he went to his office. The solitude it brought was refreshing. Perhaps it was better this way.

"Bit angsty isn't it?" Kevin said.

Garcia pouted. "Oh I can't take this, even if it's just our bossman's character." Now she couldn't get the image of a sad Hotch out of her head. "Hopefully he cheers up."

Hotch shook his head and smiled. Her genuine care for the team transcended even fanfiction stories. She really was one of a kind.

A knock on his door got his attention. It was already late by now and he was sure his team had gone home.

"Enter."

He was surprised when he saw Garcia enter.

"Hey boss."

"What are you still doing here?" He said before mentally shouting at his own rudeness. "What I meant was that I thought you'd left. You never stayed this late before."

"I know I know. It's just I noticed you'd been a little on edge lately. I thought I'd check on you and all."

"Oh, you didn't have to."

"Yeah I know but I wanted to. I could never say no to spending time with you."

Butterflies fluttered in his stomach.

"Hah!" Emily laughed. "Hotch and butterflies just don't mix."

"Better than the sappy junk in Will's story." Rossi added.

"Masterpiece," The detective cut in. "You meant masterpiece."

"I see, well I appreciate the concern but I'm fine."

She smirked. "You don't need to convince me about that."

Hold the phone... was she flirting with him? Sweat began forming in his hands. This was new. "Did you need something or were you just checking on me?"

She eyed him up and down. "I came to do a lot more than check you out."

Now he was fully confused. "I'm not following."

"Your character is so blind man!" Morgan said. "She's throwing it at you for God's sake."

Blake couldn't help the small laugh. "It is pretty obvious."

"Come on boss, do I have to spell it out?"

He stood up and approached her. He may not be at Derek's level when it came to this sort of thing, but he wasn't stupid. Even so he had to be sure. The last thing he needed was the humiliation of having misread the situation. "Is it me? Is it me you want?"

She smiled, eying him up and down. "It's always been you."

"But... what about Morgan?"

"Fun and games, nothing more. I've always fantasized about you."

The words had barely left her before he pinned her against his wall, mouth pressed firmly against hers. Almost instantly her hands began clawing at his shirt and unbuttoning it.

This led him to tossing it off carelessly onto the ground. His mouth eventually found her neck.

"Pretty descriptive ain't it?" Will joked.

Garcia turned to Hotch who looked so done with everything. "I'm so sorry boss!" Truth was she was a little mortified too.

He sighed. "It's fine Garcia. Just finish the story."

It was safe to say the room was a mess in the morning. But Hotch could care less about that. In the end he got the girl and he even made Derek clean up his office.

Garcia wheeled back to the group, but refused to make any eye contact with Hotch. "Well, that was the end of it... Thoughts?"

"Awful," Morgan answered immediately. "Character bashing of me?"

"And once again the pairing was weird." Reid added.

"You know what that means," Seaver groaned. "Are we ever going to go home?"
