I don't own Harry Potter or Sherlock, just having a bit of fun while I can.

Well here is the last chapter, I do hope you have enjoyed the story so far. I will try and start working on the sequel soon.

Chapter Thirty-Two

Harry smiled as he saw John and Sherlock to one side of the hall. The two were huddled together talking quietly to each other, They were smiling and looking happy with each other. There weren't that many guests, but he knew that those that were there, were treasured friends and family that both sides cared about. He moved over to them both and they looked down at him.

"I'm happy about the two of you marrying you know," Harry said as he looked from one to the other. "When I finally had Hermione to talk to, we both would talk about how it was horrible that Sherlock wasn't there, as we could both see the subtext between the two of you, even though neither of you would admit it," he smiled as he hugged the two of them.

The two shared a looked as they hugged him back, "Yeah, it was always there, from that very first meeting. But we ignored it because we didn't want to ruin our friendship, we were scared of being alone if the other rejected us. When Sherlock came back, it was like I was given a second chance. So I took it. I kissed him and he kissed back, and the rest, as they say, is history," John told him softly as he brushed Harry's fringe away from his eyes, "I think you might be needing a haircut," he said as he smiled at the length.

Harry nodded, "Yeah, maybe. But I kind of like it like this," he shrugged to them.

"Well, it's almost time for the dinner, and I know that we have to mingle. Are you coming with us Harry, or are you going to be attached to the wall?" Sherlock asked him, in a joking tone.

"I'll come with you, and you can introduce me to those that I don't know. I know a few of them are people that you've helped on cases, and I want to know who they are," he said eagerly, causing the two men to laugh opening and freely.

"Right, let's go then," Sherlock said as he and John took a hand each and they began to go around the room. Introducing Harry to those that they helped over the years, those that had become a good friend to them.

Harry was led over to where Lestrade and Molly were standing, smiling at the couple. Harry turned to them and said, "Have a quick dance before dinner," he told the two of them as he smiled.

The two shared a look and they nodded, they ruffled Harry's hair as he gave a shooting protest again as the two went over to the dance for and swayed in each other's arms as a slow song started up. Harry smiled as he watched them.

"You helped bring out another side of Sherlock I never knew was there," Lestrade said as he looked at the child and smiled.

Harry looked up at the man and smiled back, "It was always there, just buried over years of having to deal with people that didn't understand, or couldn't be bothered to. You could, that's why he considers you a very close friend. You're Johns best man, though Sherlock wanted you as well. Sherlock has Mycroft, even though they appear as though they are not close, they do care about each other in their own way," he told him of what he had been able to observe of the two men and those around them.

Lestrade laughed, "You really are turning into a smaller version of Sherlock. I don't know if the world is ready for that," he joked.

"The world will never be ready, but I and Sherlock don't really care," he grinned back to him as he started to laugh. "I think I am more like John than Sherlock. But I don't really care which I am more like. I care about the two of them a lot."

Lestrade put a hand on his shoulder, "I know you do, and you and I are going to be doing our damnedest to make sure that we keep them safe so that they grow old together and retire somewhere."

Harry thought for a moment, "To Cornwall, where John will write and Sherlock will keep honey bees," he smiled as he could picture it well.

Lestrade smiled and nodded holding out his hand, "That sounds like a good plan, so we are doing that then, making sure that little dream becomes a reality."

Harry shook his hand, making the deal, "Okay."

John and Sherlock finished their dance and went over to Harry, "Right, we need to be seated now, so come on," John said as he waited for him to walk over to them and put a hand on his shoulder as they went over to the table that they had been assigned to.

Dinner was served, and quickly eaten, along with desert. It was soon time for a couple of speeches. Sherlock stood up, looking out of place. There was a small smile on his face as he turned to face the crowd of people that had gathered for him.

"I spoke to a friend once, Mike Stamford, I told him I was in need of a flat mate. That very day, not even four hours later he walked back into the lab, with a man following him. I looked at him, and while I deduced him in seconds, he proved to be more of a puzzle than I first thought he was. He limped into my life and stayed there. When his life was in danger, I gladly gave mine. I jumped to save him. To make sure that he would be there the next day, and the day after that. As I helped take down a web bent on destroying someone I call my light, on the 14th of August I will make this man my husband and that is a day I can not wait for," he smiled as he looked at John, "Thank you Mike Stamford for not only bringing me a flatmate, but my soul mate. John Hamish Watson, I can think of no other to spend the rest of my days with," there was a round of cheers and claps as it was John's turn to stand up.

John stood and gripped Sherlock's hand as he looked at his future "I have become engaged to a man that tore my life apart, he got me to think of life again when I had all but given up on it. Both Sherlock and I owe Mike a lot for spotting me and for being there when Sherlock needed someone to gripe to about not having a flatmate. Sherlock, I'm spending the rest of my life with you, and that to me is a dream I thought I had lost."

Another load of clapping echoed in the hall. As Violet stood up and got everyone's attention, "It is with my great pleasure to introduce my son and my future son in law. They bring pleasure to this old woman and I could not be happier with my son than I am now with him having found the one he loves. I wish you all the best for your wedding on the 14th August. Now please grab a partner and go and dance," she smiled as she shooed the couples and singles to the dance floor.

People began to dance as Sherlock and John grabbed Harry and pulled him with them, as they went around the dance floor Sherlock and John shared a look, "Harry?" Sherlock called to him as they stopped in the middle of the floor.

"Yeah?" he asked, wondering why that had stopped dancing.

"We were wondering if you would be all right with us adopting you, you would be our son as well?" John said as he wondered what Harry would think on that.

Harry stood there as he looked between the two of them, "You really mean it, don't you?" he asked them both.

They smiled and nodded, "Yes we do, we would love to adopt you, Harry, I know that you have been with us for around two weeks, but to us, it feels as though you have been with us for years. You've become a part of our lives very quickly, and I hope you would say yes?" John asked him, his voice serious, though filled with hope.

Harry thought for a moment as he went over it in his mind. He looked up at the two of them and smiled. He nodded his head as he said, "Yeah, I would like that a lot. You two have become family to me too," he chuckled, though it sounded hysterical to the two men.

The two pulled him into a hug as they held him as he whispered over and over how he had hoped one day that he would find a family he could belong to.

Thank you all for reading this story. I loved writing it and there is a small sequel to be edited and posted. But I don't know when I will get around to that.

Thank you all for the fantastic reviews that kept me going when I was finding things tough.
