Part of me wants Matt to get caught by HYDRA and the Avengers have to rescue him, but Matt would also never be that careless. But if you did want Matt to get caught you could have HYDRA set off a sonic noise cancelling blast that could incapacitate Matt whether they did on purpose or not would be interesting. Just an idea.

Well this promises to be an interesting story.

I like this. You've got a great start and you could easily make it a shorter fic with a fairly simple conclusion or turn it into a monster that never really ends. It's sad that this seems to be abandoned. If you're still interested in suggestions or ideas I have a few for how this could play out.
